Aldi is terrific. They are low-budget all the way around, and because of that their prices are very low. Most families couldn't do all of their grocery shopping here, but you could easily do 50% - 70% of it. You'll want to look at their website http://www.aldi.com and be familiar with where you're going before you leave, because they don't have a listed telephone number (because they'd have to pay somebody to answer it). Bring a quarter with you to rent a shopping cart. Bring your own bags or boxes to carry home your purchases, or purchase bags there. Be prepared to use Cash or a selected few debit cards. An ATM is also on the premises. The products are wonderful. They have some items in national brands, but the majority are their own private labels. We regularly buy things like flour, sugar, vegetable oil, olive oil, baking soda, and coffee here. The canned vegetables are 33 each, which you can occasionally beat at a bigger store if they're on sale, but rarely. They also have a good selection of paper products, limited produce, limited dairy, limited meat (frozen), and other frozen items. Their cornish hens are great. I highly recommend shopping at Aldi. You won't be disappointed.
