When I was selecting a contractor to paint the exterior of my house, I called around many different places. This contractor quoted me the lowest price, and he sounded very enthusiastic on the phone. Due to other reasons, I did not hire him right away. When I called him back some time later, he nearly doubled his price and told me the reason was that he needed to replace certain panels. I thought that was a little outrageous, but I did not have time to call around, so I signed the contract with him. On the day of the appointment, he and his team showed up. However, after a hand-shake, he simply left. His team seemed to be working very hard, but after they were done, I found many "rush" jobs. The paint was all over my window glasses and door flaps. My garage door was painted and stuck to the ground, so it wouldn't open (at first). The crew said that they needed to wash the brushes right away. I let them use my powder room because there was a problem with my back yard faucet. However, they insisted to wash the brushes in the back yard, and caused water leak in my basement. The contractor had told me the paint would last for at least 3 years. Now it is not even 2 years and I already have paint chips all over the place. He was very friendly and assuring in the first place, but the execution of the work proved to be of poor quality. I would not recommend this contractor to other people.

PROS: Lowest price if you don't have any panel to be replaced.
CONS: Unsupervised poor quality work that does not last as expected.
