The place could be a little cleaner and the service a lot quicker. But the food is pretty good and so are the prices.

I'm not really thrilled with the atmosphere of the place, but the food is very good. I like the shepards pie. Prices are average and service is slow.

On the north end of Lauderdale Beach proper (just south of Sunrise on A1A) is a little area of less expensive shops, eateries, and bars. Among them your will find McSorleys.

As with the more expensive restaurants further south, McSorleys has both indoor and sidewalk seating. Inside is a dark bar, outside is the beautiful Lauderdale sunshine and the beach. Guess where I sit? heh.

The service here isn't real fast, but it is friendly. Like with any other beach-side place though, why be in a hurry? Sit back and enjoy the view.

My favorite here is the Bangers & Mash which is comparable to other places I've had it... though I've never been across the pond so can't attest to authenticity. I can tell you I like it a lot and the gravy is very yummy. Also, their portions are very large. I can never finish my meal here.

Another dish you may want to try here is the Sheppards Pie, which is also more than meets the eye. Very filling and more than enough to fill you up.

Prices are very reasonable for the beach coming in at an average of around $11 per entree.

The bottom line is that once you tire of the usual seafood and mediterranian, head over here for a change of pace.

PROS: Price, view
CONS: slow service
