We bought our toyota vehicle there. When we had issues with it, the service department rep Mike Buto refused to honor the warantee. He demanded $250 payment prior to diagnosis. He claimed his techs would not get paid without payment authorization on a warantee covered problem!!! When I refused to authorize the payment in advance on my vehicle that is covered by warantee, he became very belligerent, impolite, and hung up the phone on me, the customer. I informed the customer service representative and emailed the owner, with no resolution so far. I will take my business else where. In fact I would rather walk, than deal with such such service reps. He was rude, deceptive, dishonest, impolite and belligerent.

If you want to pay top dollar then go here! I went in to look at a used SUV and took for a test drive. The salesman we got must have been new to the dealership or something! He knew absolutely nothing about thic SUV! I had to show him how some of the options worked and anytime why wife asked a question he would ask me what the answer was! Then when we got back to run numbers, he came back with $200 off and a tank of gas! Are you kidding me!?! Anyway I later spoke to the sales manager and he wouldn't budge from the price at all. He said he would be able to sell that for even more! Yeah sure so he can screw someone out of their hard earned money! I will never buy a car from there and I would hope someone would read this! If you want a dealership that will work hard to give you a deal and know what they are talking about, go to Ballas-Buick-GMC on Central Avenue in Toledo! Harvey Ciley was not only knowledgable but he worked real hard to get a deal done! He's happy he sold a nice SUV. We are happy we got a great deal! Dunning isn't interested in making deals!

BEWARE OF THE CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH!

I went to Dunning Subaru to buy a Forester. Had pre-approved financing in place from my bank which was a very good interest rate. I worked with Kristin and she kept telling me things, such as the equipment included, trade in price, delivery date, etc that would later be negated by Dan (the F and I guy) and "upper management". First, there was a bait and switch on what features the car had. The car arrived only to have a low end stereo in it, when I was promised a better stereo for the price. They tried to low ball me on the trade in, but I was not as concerned about that. (I pushed back on the price and although I did not get a great price, I negotiated an ok trade in price in the end, but I had to go back and forth for hours to get a mediocre price) I want to note that my car was in excellent condition and that I had been offered better trade in prices at other dealers, but wanted a subaru.

When it was time to sign the paper work and have the car delivered, they tried to change my financing to their financing, when I REPEATEDLY told them that I was very happy with my pre approved rate. They withheld delivery of the car while they pressured me to take their financing. I finally was so disgusted with the bait and switch tactics, and their rude behavior, that I asked for my preapproval papers back and walked out without buying the car. Beware of Kristin! She will promise you anything to get you to sign the paperwork and when you go to finalize the deal you will find that what you are signing is NOT what she promised. Watch everyone there very closely, and be prepared for long waits, and no answers.

I would never buy from this dealer.

I don't believe their service department knows as much as they think they do. I went in for service on two known problems for Toyota FJ Cruisers and then sent me out with half a fix. I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future. I'm 26 and have had an SC400, MR2 Spyder, this FJ, and a Scion TC. I hope to continue my business with Toyota. Just not this dealership. In the South (Mike Calvert in Houston and Savannah Toyota) the service was much better.

Although I'm a little far from Dunning, I've always appreciated their personal attention. I recently went in for a service and it was a great experience! The service manager Woody was very helpful, knowledgeable and attentive to my questions. He offered valueable insight and advice on what I should do since I'm not too car savvy. Although the waiting room was a little tight, I was glad to see so many people there. Goes to show that quality work shines through even the toughtest times. Keep up the good work!

I came into Dunning not knowing exactly what I wanted to purchase. The sales person who helped me was very knowledgeable and made suggestions based on my needs. I ended up going with a Camry which I absolutely love. I will definately be back to Dunning Toyota.

I've taken my car to several different dealerships for service and Dunning is one of the best. I've been to Dunning three times for repairs and have been very satisfied each time. The service department is friendly, prompt and honest. I've dropped of my car during and after business hours. When dropping if off after hours, they are quick to call the next day and tell you the issue. The prices are, of course, a little expensive, but this is to be expected from any dealership. And hey, the nice thing is that the work is guaranteed and if anything goes wrong you can take it to any dealership in the country without charge - no local mechanic can offer that.

I haven't looked around the showroom, so I can't speak for the sales department, but one time, while waiting for my car, we were looking at a few of the cars outside and someone did approach us. He seemed nice and wasn't too pushy.

I definitely recommend the service department.

I recently visited the service department for service on my girlfriend's car. The initial experience with them was good. I asked them to inform me of the cost of the repairs before they did anything because I am on a tight budget and they obliged. When they told me that they didn't have the parts in the shop and they would have to order them, they said that they would do a temporary fix on the vehicle that would last until the parts would come in. By the time that I got home, the "temporary fix" had already stopped working and the car was broken again. I went back the next morning and talked to Joe Bliss, the same person that I had worked with before, and this time he wasn't as friendly. The second that he remembered me his attitude changed and he started looking down his nose at me. I asked them what he could do to remedy their temporary fix that I was charged for that didn't fix anything. He became very rude and defensive immediately. I felt as though I was being discriminated against because I didn't have the money to fix the car that instant. I don't recommend working with this dealership/service center because they look down on their less than well off customers and if there is ever a problem they are rude and refuse to fix it unless the customer pays them again.

PROS: Fast service department
CONS: Rude and discriminatory service department, very expensive

Well, i would say, they kind of treat different customers differently depending on your attire or what car your drive. One time, i drove my european car to the lot and within 10 secs on the lot, someone came out and ask if they could help me. The sales person I got is a typical high pressure sales who called me at least 3 times after I test drove a new Highlander. The other time that I went to that dealership to check out car with my friend, we walked there since I left my car in the other dealership close by for servicing. Me and my friend, whom both looks like college girls, were in the lot looking at each car and even went inside to sit in their new model, and no one came out to ask us what we want! I am pretty disappointed, and when we passed by the reception lady, she finnaly ask us, with an attitude, that if we want any help. Obviously, after this time, I would recommend people go elsewhere for their car buying or car fixing!!!

I usually had my car service in Dunning Toyota. But I accidentally went to another car repair workshop and found that the service fee in Dunning Toyota is much more expensive. For regular oil change and tire, brake check, they charge more than $60. If you need to change some parts, it costs more since they use parts from Toyota. I have no issue against it, but I just feel I can save some money in other workshop. Besides, Dunning toyota is not in Ann Arbor city area. Everytime I went there, I had to wait for hours there.

I went to Dunning to look at three specific cars and see whether or not two carseats, two suitcases and a set of golf clubs would fit in those models. I was not interested in test driving because I was at the beginning of my car shopping process. I did not feel pressured at all by Bill with any of the typical car sales tactics. He was very friendly and helpful and showed a lot of patience as it took some time to check what I wanted to check.

PROS: low-pressure car sales
