James quickly won my confidence my answering my questions and pointing out some of the great features of the CRV. Absolutely love my service advisor Darrell Jones!!! He is so honest, respectful,& trustworthy... never does unethical business! He takes pride in doing a great job, & serving his customers well. HE is the reason I keep coming back to this location :) The prices are reasonable, especially if you watch for discounts online..

Hi. I bought a used car 2012 Honda Civic from David McDavid. It was a hassle free experience. Sales man Baha was informative for all my queries and explained me most of the options. I am happy to take cars in future from them and i would recommend it for others.
Few Suggestions:
* Provide maintenance package information for used cars. I didn't get much info from used car salesman. Everyone would be interested to discuss about this along with car price so they can make out a deal.
* Fill the gas tank or at least half tank so people can peacefully drive it back. Mine is almost empty when i received it.

I got an express service done recently here. The service advisor was very nice and did not keep me waiting to take the car for the express service. The waiting area is nice and clean. The overall experience was satisfactory. Only problem I had was the car was not cleaned up as the washer machine was not working for them. Overall, the experience was decent and would definitely like to go again and see if I get a better experience than this one.

On the day I visited, they took about 6 hours to finalize the deal. Almost two hours I was sitting idle as the same sales person was handling multiple customers at the same time. Finally they gave me the car and I applied for Honda finance. They didn't inform me that Honda finance didn't go through. They did multiple credit checks (12+) through multiple outside banks without telling me. Later after five days they arranged for a finance which was at a very high rate. Due to so many credit checks my credit report went bad and I was denied for a credit card. I returned the car and purchased from another place. arranged for my finance through DCU at a very low rate. My recommendation is don't do to them.

I bought my car from this dealership in 2009 through one of the top salesman who has since retired. That was a great hassle-free experience. But unfortunately the reason for the review is report their damaging service from the service department.

Due to the nature of blistering heat in Texas, car owners can legally apply UV filters to their front windshields which I had done because the leather in Hondas will bubble and rip if you don't.

I came in for a State Inspection and upon receiving my vehicle back I noticed the technician scrapped the UV filter even though there was almost a two inch buffer on both sides. I reported this to the manager and the manager gave me two options:
- Fail the car's state inspection even though the technician passed it because the Manager 'Hall' isn't familiar with state law.
- Scrap the rest of filter off which would take additional time.

Both options are obviously anti-consumer. During discussions on what Honda will do to fix the problem, they only offered to pay half to fix the UV filter that they damaged under their workmanship. They felt the responsibility was mutual. That I didn't inform them of an obvious film with a cut-out for stickers on the car makes me half responsible.

Unable to reach an agreement, corporate was involved with the same outcome. Therefore, they have lost my business of four years over a total of $200. On top of that, I will never buy another Honda again because their leather cannot withstand Texas summer heat and attempting to legitimately resolve the issue inflicts damage from their service departments.

Not only did they not inform me of the damage up front, they came up with all the excuses of why they are not responsible. The fact their technician knew he screwed up and didn't fail the car's inspection. That tells me he knew it was legal. That eliminates the legality issue. The manager I dealt with is ridiculously short and it is my opinion that he suffers from a big ego. Until I provided proof of legality the attitude I got was "It is illegal so get out of my face".

I have options where I get my vehicle repaired. I brought it there because it is where I bought the car. Never again will a David McDavid service center see my car. I sure hope it was worth it.

We did visit McDavid Honda at Irving to buy a pre-owned Accord and had one of the worst experience of our lives. The salesman himself was OK but his manager (Ronnie) was a total jerk and extremely rude. He basically told us that we don t deserve to buy a car.

He said that our offer was too low even if went out to buy the same car from a private party. I am fine with that statement of his and maybe our offer was low. However, he went on to say that we had no sense in buying a car and that if we wanted to waste the time of his salesmen we shouldn t bother coming there. The way he talked to me and my wife, we felt very insulted. We were not putting a gun to his head to give us the car for our price, if it doesn t work for him and we could have simply agreed to disagree.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND David McDavid Honda of Irving. I exchange several emails (see below) with Gordon Meek and agreed on $32,950.14 (out the door) for a 2012 Honda Odyssey EX-L. I went to the dealership to purchase the Odyssey van at the agreed price. Once I arrived and spent over an hour, they told me they couldn't offer to sell the car on the agreed price. They didn't even apologize or have any remorse. David McDavid Honda of Irving is DISHONEST.

This also happened at Rusty Wallis Honda with John Hargis. DO NOT GO TO Rusty Wallis Honda .

Both David McDavid Honda of Irving and Rusty Wallis Honda tell you lies to get you in the door. When you show up at the dealership, they try to use aggressive sales tactics to get you to buy the car at a higher price.

I gave the quote I got from a dealership to their manager Jim. Jim said, he would beat the price by $1000. Gordon called me 10 times begging me to come, so he can get me the great price. When I went, he made me sit for 20 min, took all my info and came back, 'why don't you go an buy from the other dealer'. Very UNPROFESSIONAL. I will never visit this dealership again.

I wanted to advise you and want to recognize one of your service advisors Mr. Curtis Shell, Jr. I am a 4 time Honda owner; I have purchased all my Honda cars at John Eagle Honda. However, my service experience with their service department has at times been far from pleasant. I always felt as I was being overcharged for too many unnecessary services and felt that I was just another quota being met for the day.

I began servicing my Honda Civic last year at David McDavid, my first experience was with Mr. Shell and he was very professional and courteous making me feel like his only important customer. Since that experience, all my service calls have been with David McDavid.

I visited your service department today, and Mr. Shell was my service advisor, again with his courteous and very professional attitude he assisted me and recommended services for my car that were needed. I never felt pressured nor felt as he was just trying to take my money (which with the economy being what it is these days) is very precious to me.

I just wanted to make you aware of what a wonderful service advisor you have in Curtis Shell, Jr. and wanted to make sure his customer service and professionalism are acknowledged.

I wanted to drop you both a line to let you know about the outstanding individuals you have in Justin Wall and Chad Ford. My mother was in a wreck last Monday, July 19th. She was not badly injured fortunately, but was very shaken up by the entire ordeal. My mom sadly lost her 1995 Honda Accord in the accident. She was very upset by this, and with one phone call to Justin and Chad this situation was completely turned around. On Wednesday July 21st my birthday, we drove to the dealership after calling Justin, and within an hour he had found a fantastic 2010 CR-V that she fell in love with. My wife and I have bought cars at David McDavid from Justin and Chad, and I have sent many friends, between my wife and me and my friends we have purchased at least seven cars from Justin or Chad. They were all tip-top transactions, but this one by far takes the cake to see my mom be so tickled and happy that someone went above and beyond to make her happy makes me happy. As long as Justin and Chad are with David McDavid you will always have mine, my family and my friends business. However, my service experience with their service department has at times been far from pleasant. I always felt as I was being overcharged for too many unnecessary services and felt that I was just another quota being met for the day.

I began servicing my Honda Civic last year at David McDavid, my first experience was with Mr. Shell and he was very professional and courteous making me feel like his only important customer. Since that experience, all my service calls have been with David McDavid.

I visited your service department today, and Mr. Shell was my service advisor, again with his courteous and very professional attitude he assisted me and recommended services for my car that were needed. I never felt pressured nor felt as he was just trying to take my money (which with the economy being what it is these days) is very precious to me.

I just wanted to make you aware of what a wonderful service advisor you have in Curtis Shell, Jr. and wanted to make sure his customer service and professionalism are acknowledged.

He is a ??Top Block" service professional in my book!

I arrived at the dealership and Claire showed me the car and answered all my questions about the options. Even though the finance department was busy, signing my contract was easy and with no surprises. This was simply the best experience I've ever had buying a car.

I went to Vandergriff Honda first then I went here. I got an Accord EX-L V6 for the same lease rate that Vandergriff wanted me to get an EX-L without any dealer add-on. The staff was very friendly and did not play the number games and bait and switch game. If you are looking to get a Honda check out this dealer before signing any other deals.

Between my family and I we have purchased 3 cars from David McDavid. The sales people are friendly and helpful. Just stick to your guns on any deals made and don't let them haggle you out of it. They make great deals but like to change them along the way.
