The field is a wonderful pub style setting with great Shepards Pie and Fish n Chips! Great place to watch a Soccer Match and relax! The Field has a large selection of beers to choose from!

3 Stars: Low Key Irish Pub (by Amanda M.)

Remember Carly Smithson from American Idol? This is where she used to work. I went here for a birthday party and the service was great. I wouldnt recommend it as a typical sports bar though since it was all Irish food. It was good though.

5 Stars: A cozy setting (by James W.)

The Field is a great place to hang out before catching the Padre game. Their food is excellent and their drinks are top-notch. I enjoyed the ambiance of their setting, it was a really nice experience. Great service too!

5 Stars: Awesome (by Lisa C.)

This is a great place to go not just to eat but to hang out, have a beer, talk with friends. It's comfortable, you don't have to dress up and it gets packed on the weekends with a really great crowd.

PROS: Food and Beer
CONS: Crowds

4 Stars: Cozy setting with great food (by Sophia M.)

Want to feel like you have been transported to Ireland, than the Field is for you. The food excellent and the staff friendly. Upstairs area can be secured for a private party (e.g. holiday luncheon). The decore if great, apparently brought over from Ireland in pieces! A nice change to the other snooty places in the Gaslamp.

5 Stars: Fun Irish Pub Atmosphere (by Allison W.)

Downstairs you have what seems like a regular noisy bar with an Irish theme. Upstairs however you find a tiny flat with lots of little tables and people squeezed in every available crevice. The Field is located right in the middle of downtown and it's easy to miss if you're not looking. But you should look, because the food is fantastic and everything from the menu to the decor to employees is authentic Irish.
