I get 7 out of 9 of our prescriptions here. The pharmacy staff is very helpful and friendly, and the service is much faster than Ft Myer, plus it is located closer to my workplace. I am very satisfied, and would be even more satisfied if they carried the remaining two prescriptions.

This is a military treatment facility near Route 29, 50, and I-495. The location is fairly easy to get in and out, except that first-time visitors may be slightly confused because the first turn lane is for ambulance and emergency room only, and it goes to the back side of the clinic. The glasses are dark and the main entrance is not easily identified for the first time. I believe they also open to the public with a higher visit fee. You do not have a primary physician, but simply get assigned to whomever available at the time of the appointment. Therefore, it gets a little frustrating because I have to explain things to multiple people. However, they do try hard to keep the medical records very clear, so the next doctor can follow easily. I also like the fact that you get to keep your medical records. So even if you are transferred somewhere else, you don't lose the history. The clinic offers limited services only, and they don't have the facility to operate a surgery or deliver a baby. They do not even have the equipment to perform an ultrasound. Therefore, you really only get very basic treatment, such as cold, flu, blood test, pep smear, etc. For other more complicated services, they refer you to DeWitt Hospital in Alexandria (Fort Belvoir). The clinic is generally very clean, but the chairs in the waiting room sometimes do not feel clean. There is also often a slightly strong "clinic smell" and it is not all that comfortable. You get a variety of doctors. Some of them are very friendly and thorough, while some others are slightly rushed and unclear. It is hard to expect what you are getting each time.

PROS: Convenient location, low cost.
CONS: Uncomfortable waiting room, inconsistent experience, limited service.
