Sometime, to get away from the STRESS of my job, I take my lunch and my journal and went to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens.

This place is incredibly beautiful. There are different area like the Rose Garden, Fragrance Garden, Japanese Garden and more to enjoy. There are charming water areas, picnic areas and benches for sitting and watching people.

The best thing about the FW Botanic Gardens is that they are FREE!!

I say check it out! And don't forget your picnic lunch!

PROS: Excellent place to meditate or picnic
CONS: Can get growded in the summer

How there is such beauty in the middle of a busy city! The gardens are wondferful and even though they are close to an interstate- they are so quiet and peaceful. You can sit there and relax under a canopy of trees or take a walk around the wonderful paths and see all the plants. It is a great place to take a date for a nice walk or just to relax awhile. Easy to find and plenty of parking.

If you ever want a nice enjoyable walk through beautiful gardens, head over to the Botanical Gardens in Fort Worth. They are right down from the Fort Worth Zoo and the Museum district. They even have a Japanese Garden that you pay a little extra for and can tour. The whole garden area is very relaxing and beautiful. It is a great place to take family photos or bridal photos.

I went to the Botanic Garden every year in Spring to take photos. There are a few gardens within the Botanic area. Lots of colorful flowers and weather is wonderful in Spring. Admittance is free (except Japanese Garden).

Only bad thing is I never see roses in Rose Garden but the architecture is marvelous.

We recently went to the Botanic Gardens for a family picnic and pictures. The flowers and landscaping were beautiful!! We had a wonderful setting for a picnic. We were able to take some really great family photos and photos of our son! It was a great outing all together! We also attended one of the Symphony in the Park events and the fireworks were outstanding!! We will definitely spend more time here with our son!

This is a great place to go for a nice stroll through the beautiful gardens on a nice day. Its very inexpensive as most of it is free but their is lots of room for the kids to run and a great place for a picnic. Their are places to sit down throughout and a great place to get good pictures among the flowers.

The Botanic Garden is a wonderful place to have a family outing. We love to go here and have a picnic and let our son run around. The landscaping is very well taken care of and always immaculate!! The garden area is very large and each time we go, we start in a different area. It is just very beautiful and very relaxing!! We also go out here regularly to take pictures of our son and have some great photos as well as lasting memories!!

A little piece of Heaven. I love to come here with a picnic lunch and spend a couple of hours just relaxing in the shade. The ground are well manicured and maintained. You honestly forget that you are in Downtown Ft.Worth.

This is a Fabulous place for Weddings as Well. Don't be surprised during the spring if you see a Bride in all her wedding regala slipping in and out amongst the Rose Gardens.

PROS: Nature Nature Nature!! FREE!
CONS:

I resently went to the butterfly exhibt with my 2 youngest children. I can tell you it was money worth spending. The buttlerflies were amazing and just every where. One of them actually landed on my son's shirt and I thought he was going to freak out. Next year when they have this exhibt you have to go, it is just amazing and a wonderful learing expeirience.

PROS: butterfly landings
CONS: none

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden is a wonderful place to escape the heat and dirt and noise of the city. Huge old trees shade the grounds, and water features (such as fountains and ponds) keep the air fresh. The fragrant rose gardens (which are free) are particularly lovely in the spring and summer, and the vibrant colors of the Japanese Garden (which costs a few dollars for an entrance ticket) are spectacular in the fall. Spend a morning exploring all of the hidden treasures in the Garden (such as the war memorial), or pack a picnic lunch, bring a blanket, and just enjoy the serenity of nature.

This is a wonderful place to get photos especially when the roses are in bloom. You couldn't ask for a better location in Fort Worth and I have always found there to be plenty of parking. There are benches throughout where you can sit and rest if need be and just enjoy the beauty in the middle of the city.

PROS: Easy to get to.

In July they have an awesome Pops concert series with fireworks after each concert. A great way to take in the scenery, get some culture and enjoy family night. During the day the gardens are a wonderful. The kids have acres to raom around on... their favoriet area is the fountains and the stepping stones. We try to stop and read all the flower names. Free to get in... but I'd pay to go here! Bring the picnic basket and the camera. Great date for sure.

We LOVE to go to the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens. It is lovely to have a picnic lunch on the grass on Saturday afternoons and just enjoy the natural surrounding, quietness, and fresh air. We particularly love the Japanese Garden ($3) in the fall, when the reds and oranges of the leaves are truly vibrant, and the Rose Garden (free) in the late spring and early summer, when the air is heavy with the perfume of flowers.

PROS: Family, Fun, Low Cost to get in
CONS:

This is a guys kind of date. It doesn't get any cheaper than this. the most I paid was 3 dollars to get into one of the gardens and it was worth it. The sights were more than amazing.

When my husband and I want a peaceful place to walk and talk, we head for the Botanic Gardens in Ft. Worth. Sometimes we take a picnic and spread a cloth on the ground and enjoy lunch with the birds and beautiful flowers. It's a breath of lovliness and calming to the spirit.
