Very disappointed! Arrived there about an hour ago. Ordered a turkey BLT from their menu. The girl was rude and said she didn't have any bacon made and would not make it for the sandwich. Ended up with a turkey hoagie. For another person I

I'm appalled!!! How can anyone say that the new ownership has made the former "Nino's" look dirty or that the products are outdated, produce bad or bread being moldy. The truth is...Bensalem Farmers Market is a "5 STAR" all around market. Far beyond the former "Nino's Market". It's cleaner, brighter same Italian meats, upgraded produce and the same staff, which by far surpass any deli I've been in. They are always smiling and polite. Sometimes somewhat entertaining. If you ask me, Bensalem Farmers Market is definately a place you want to shop. I guarentee you'll want to come back!!!!!!! New Owners and remarkably improved.

Since I've heard of new ownership I did first thought it would change alot for the worse from merchandise to the employees that worked for Nino, but it did not the place looks alot cleaner then it was before when NIno had the place employee's are still there and always smiling and helpful and greets you as you walk into the store. The new owners doesn't just treat you as a paying customer they treat you as a family member I spoke to one of the owner Name Paul although he was busy he had taken 10min out of his time to speak with me and we had a nice conversation I asked him if anything is going to change all he said was "if its not broken then why fix it" I seen him before prior to my recent visit on 10/10/2010 and I can see that he has a professional ways of dealing with customers. Let;s give the new owners a chance.

Nino's retired and sold the store ownership two or three months ago. The place has changed dramatically since then.

I loved visiting them before the change. The fruits and vegetables were fresh, the prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was friendly. You were always greeted with wonderful old world Italian music and everyone had smiles.

Not anymore...

They are now known as the "Bensalem Farmer's Market" Things have been changing. The employees never have smiles anymore. I heard one of the new owners barking out orders angrily. The prices on everything have been jacked up. The vegetables and fruit looks and smells old. Even the meats don't seem as fresh. Many of the Italian treats and delicacies have been replaced by 7-11 style candy products, all at astronomical prices.

I waited several months to see if the changes were temporary due to the transition, but it appears that this is what the new owners want. I'm sorry, but I don't want to shop somewhere with bad service, high prices, and poor quality. I am done with that store.

It's sad because I really used to enjoy shopping there. Nino, you will be missed.

Worked for Nino for 9 years. He was a great employer and took care of his employees - one of the best employers I know. I also worked for him when his store used to be on Castor Ave. Best of the best. Keep up the good work. Hope to see you soon!

I recently bought 2 loaves of bread from Nino's that were under the expiration date, but had mold on them. I took them back the next day with my receipt to exchange them. I was told by Nino himself that I was full of "bull****" and that he has sold over 250 loaves with no problems. This was said several times over and in front of other customers. Prior to this experience, I have never had any problems with Nino's, and have been a customer for several years. I would NEVER step foot in that place again. To embarrass a customer like that over 2 loaves of bread is unacceptable. Hey... their prices are right, but hope you never have a problem, because Nino is a nasty man who is so unprofessional. Next time you are there, really take a good look around and ask yourself if saving a few bucks is really worth buying your produce and meats from such a place. The attitude from Nino says it all...he doesn't care. If he did, he wouldn't embarrass his customers, he wouldn't let his employees drink on the job, he would address the bug problem on most of the fruits and vegetables, and he would fix his leaking ceiling that drips into his store. And this is just what we can see from the selling area! Imagine what it looks like in the "employees only" area! Beware!!

Nino's has the best food/party trays! The potato salad and turkey roll ups are delicious!! We had them on Christmas Eve for a family gathering and they were a hit. Great deli selection and affordable prices, too.

I moved to Bensalem 4+ yrs ago. I stumbled upon Nino's after church one morning and never stopped going since!I always find friendly and helpful clerks as well as the fresh market produce and deli items. I also purchase my flowers and plants and have never had a negative incident. Thanks for being there and your prices are so good...in this day and age I feel you are on the consumers' side. I always recommend Nino's to people.Continue the great work!!

I've found that the produce selection in the area grocery stores is kind of dismal. I'm so glad I discovered Nino's! Where else can you get three pounds of bananas and peaches for $1 each? It's all fresh, home-grown products that are absolutely delicious. The staff will help you determine what's ripe for the more exotic fruits and veggies, and you'll love their in-house deli, where the prices are again cheaper than the meat section of your grocery store. I love this farmer's market!
