This guys who says he worked for NFM and all these bad things happened is the real liar. I worked for NFM for about 9 months and the player was the guy who wrote that post. He was the one trying to get with all the girls and who was misleading borrowers. that is why he got fired. look no matter where you work you could find something to complain about but NFM tries to do right by there employees. They want us to work crazy hours sometimes but they never force us and David silverman is a very generous man. He sent out a xmas bonus to EVERY employee. Companies dont do that anymore but he did. Was i always happy there? No! but who is always happy at there job? The bottom line is they are a good company that work hard for there customers to get the loans closed. End of story!!! I hate when disgruntle employees write bad information because they are pissed off that they got fired,. If you have questions about NFM go down there and they will give you a tour and you can deicde for yourself. They are good people!!!

I've bought several houses and been through the refi process several times as well. I should have known better than try and chase the cheapest APR online. NFM had the cheapest rate initially, but that rate magically changed by the time I went to sign my paperwork 2 weeks later. I know markets fluctuate, but it would have been nice if I had been called or made aware of this change prior to noticing it on the paperwork.

Beyond that, their customer service is the worst I've ever experienced in this field, bar none. It takes several e-mails or calls to get any kind of response from them. Next time I'll go back to the company that I had worked with in the past.

I received a promotional offer in the mail from NFM inc about refinancing my FHA loan that included 3.75 for 30 years and no closing costs. I have refinanced my mortgage several times over the past 14 years so I was a bit skeptical. When I called I talked to my loan officer Scott Rice who explained everything in detail. To say I kept expecting the bottom to drop out was an understatement but it never did. I did have a couple unexpected bumps like needing a township required dye test but it was not the fault of NFM. The only thing that didn't go as expected was that during closing I found my payaments were a little higher than expected but it was because my taxes were higher than expected. Our township would not release the official tax numbers until the dye test was completed.

I brought one month payment to closing and I got to skip a month. My mortgage insurance premium is higher now but my payments are still lower and I really save money in 5 years when I'm not required to pay mortgage insurance.

Overall NFM was very responsive and answered every question as they came up. They delivered as promised. It took 2.5 months to close and it would have been faster had I not had to deal with my local township over that silly dye tests.

I spoke with the Director of the Linthicum MD office who promised that he could get me in a home with a CDA loan. The home was in my budget. He never returned any of my calls nor emails. He called a week before my settlement only to say that he could not get me approved. I have a credit score of 700. He left me with promises that I would be okay. I had a contract on the house for 3 months. I was devastated. I had depended on the home due to my lease being up only 3wks after my closing. I would not recommend anyone to this company again.

I received information in the mail and called them. After paying too much for an appraisal $50 more then the company I used, they also wanted to charge double for closing costs and misc fees. Steer clear in less you want to get taken for a ride.

I tried to do a loan with this company and they changed the paperwork and interest rate several times. Go with a bank and save the money and hassle.

I received a letter in the mail from them today and the offer seemed too good to be true. I called them and spoke with one of the two John's. My current mortgage is with PNC and I was interested in a straight refi, which had already been approved by pnc.
So I thought I would give PMN a chance. Until I read these reviews. I think now I'll probably stick with PNC.
Although I have to say all of these mortgage co. operate the same. Promise you the moon, come thru.
Maybe this is a sign from God. I'm a believer in listening to him.

I really enjoyed working with Amy Mannon. Her experience, knowledge, style, and professionalism were the best I have ever experienced. Not only was her deal excellent and fair, her attention, availability, and responsiveness was unprecedented. I would certainly recommend her and NFM, Inc. to anyone considering a purchase or refinance. You will be in good hands with Amy Mannon and the NFM team!

With low interest rates we decided to refinance our home. We found NFM doing an online search. Oh how I wish we would have done our homework prior to starting to do business with NFM. This company made numerous promises during the first few phone calls and emails. One by one NFM recanted. Our interest rate went up twice during the first 60 days - even though they promised they were going to "lock" in our low interest rate. The hidden costs/fees were astounding. I called my local banker regarding some of these - only to find out that we should beware dealing with a business that tacks on all of these fees. After about 5 months NFM still didn't have their paperwork completed so that the loan could close. They then told us that interest rates went up another percent and if we wanted the previous rate quoted we would have to pay $3600. At this point, we decided to call Quicken loans for a second quote. We were able to close with Quicken in 60 days at a rate lower than NFM could ever provide. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS FAST AS YOU CAN!!

In Jul/Aug 2009 my wife and I were attempting to sell our house but our contacted buyers were having problems getting FHA financing. The buyers were jerked around by 2 mortgage companies and we extended them twice before I called a friend in the Mortgage business who referred me to David Lieberman @ NFM. David knew what he was doing and made it happen. I can say with 100% certainty that our sale would not have happened when it did without NFM. The alternative would have been a long, drawn out, and costly relisting in a terrible market. I'm indebted to David.

I worked with Amy Mannon at NFM (the branch located at 106F Centre Blvd., Marlton, NJ 08053) in order to secure financing for my first home. Amy went above and beyond what I expected from a financing consultant. She answered EVERY question I had quickly and in easy to understand terms (unlike an initial local consultant I was also talking to at the recommendation of one of my friends). Amy is extremely knowledgeable and patient. Being a first time homebuyer I had a ton of questions which she answered with ease. She provided me all the details I asked for even breaking everything down into different scenarios which really helped me decide which loan and down payment options would work best for me in the long run. I was VERY impressed with her quick response to my emails and telephone calls. She kept me in the loop and updated on where we were in the process-even during off hours, weekends, and holidays which exceeded my expecations!

Overall, I found Amy to be honest, straight-forward, professional, and EXTREMELY thorough. She wasn't pushy and made the loan process very comfortable for me. I had a very tight closing window, and she was very prompt to ensure that all the details were addressed (my realtor extremely enjoyed working with her as well which was a bonus!). I secured a wonderful interest rate and what was quoted to me upfront remained the same from start to finish which is important. Based on my VERY, VERY positive experience, I would highly recommend NFM and Amy Mannon to anyone looking for financing. You can thank me later!!!!!!

Be careful before seeking refinancing from this company. If you are refinancing a condo, ask your loan officer up front if their company has done the paperwork for Fannie Mae to be approved to handle loans in your complex. Otherwise you can find yourself two months into the process and THEN be told they aren't (although they'll phrase it as if NO-ONE is). Do not believe their "goal" closing date--if you hold your mortgage payment as advised, you can find yourself stuck with the late fee when closing doesn't happen as predicted. And if you don't quite fit the "common" picture (salaried person who has been in current job > 3 years), you can work with them for months and then be denied even if you have very high credit scores, assets of 6+ times the loan amount, and are requesting less than half the CURRENT appraised property value. My advice is to check FIRST with the lender who already holds your mortgage. I wish we had.

We contacted National Fidelity Mortgage the end of February to lock in a low interest rate. After our first conversation I was pretty excited with the company as they told us we could lock in a rate of 4.75% over 30 years if we signed all the paperwork within the week. We emailed all the required paperwork and paid $400 to have the appraisal done. NFM assured us that their closing costs were lower than any other company out there. Thus, we signed the mortgage application the end of the first week. What NFM didn't tell us is that the closing costs were estimates and they were subject to change - but would be built right in the loan. To our detriment, we found out that we had to pay almost $5,000 extra to lock in that low interest rate. This was never disclosed to us until all the paperwork had been signed. Whenever I tried calling or emailing the company we would keep getting transferred to others so they could "look into it." Communication was very poor. But the most concerning was the hidden costs they don't tell you about up front only after it's all said and done and you have paid your own money for the appraisal.

We were referred the NFM through Lending Tree. The lender promised a fixed rate with closing within 6 weeks. Five months later the lender was still telling us to wait a little longer as the loan was almost "clear to close" It was a very frustrating process and you could not get the representative to call you back in a timely fashion. In the end, NFM could not deliver what they promised upfront telling us that "it is business 101 to tell the customer everything they want to hear upfront to get them"

I did my research on NFM after I received something in the mail from them. I thought it was great that they did so much with the community. I did not see any other mortgage company give back to the community like NFM did. Its nice to work for a company that even in this industry still cares about the community.
Great service, great company

I was refered to NFM by a friend of mine who was an ex-employee. He told me it was a good company that I could trust. Having bad luck with previous mortgage companies, I was a little concerned but trusted my friend. All I can say is that I am glad I did. My loan was refinanced within three weeks. I trusted my loan officer (not my friend but someone who answered my call when I called) and feel confident that I did the right thing. I recommend this company to anyone looking to refinance.

NFM gave us the help we needed to get our bills reduced and payments lower. When my wife got ill and had to take a leave of absence from work, things got really tight. Luckily our loan officer handled our refinance quickly and responsibly, and gave us some breathing room while my wife got herself better. I've given our loan officer's information to countless friends and family, and they have all had the pleasure of dealing with a true professional.

I refinanced with National Fidelity, and had very good service. The closing costs and the interest rate were both lower at closing than what I had originally expected. Apparently the rates improved, and they passed on the savings to me. The company tries to earn referrals after giving an existing customer a smooth and efficient refinance, and they succeeded in earning my confidence. I am recommending National Fidelity to my family members.

National Fidelity Mortgage saved my house from foreclosure! I owed more than the house is worth, so I couldn't get approved for a refinance. My loan officer took the time to help me apply for a loan modification with my current bank, helped me fill out the modification application, and guided me through the process, which took almost 3 months. She did all this despite the fact that she didn't stand to make any money. Their employees are helpful, selfless people, and I am forever indebted to them.

National Fidelity helped me fix my credit. They spent almost a year working with me so that I could get approved to buy my first home. I had gone through a divorce that I thought would set me back for years, but they took the time to help me rebuild my life. I can't say enough about my salesperson Aaron. He really changed my life!

I used NFM for the purchase of my home and the refinance of my rental property. My loan officer really took the time to explain all the terms and costs of the loans, checked in with me every 2-3 days with a status update, and made me feel like they cared about my business, unlike the big banks where you're just a number. I would recommend this company to anyone!

I was skeptical about the company at first. There were some things online that I read but after talking to the Loan Officer my worries disappeared. The service was great. My Loan Officer walked me through everything and made sure I understood the terms of my streamline. We closed on time and there were no upfront costs or hidden fees. I would recommend this company for anyone doing a streamline or refinance. In fact I referred the loan officer to my parents.

NFM contacted us after we signed up with lending tree. We started the mortgagae process in November, 2009. They made many promises up front to get us to sign the initial loan papers. Now, a month and a half later and after $350 out of pocket expenses for an appraisal, they are still working "diligently" on our loan application. Each week we get an email with additional documents they need. We are refinancing for debt consolodation. Originally they said they could pay off our credit card debt if our appraisal came in at 350,00. Now they say they cannot even though the appraisal was 355,000. I feel like they keep jerking us around. You constantly jump through hoops and have to pay $15,000 in closing costs. Just to pay off debt of 40,000. We still have not closed and I cannot even see the end of the tunnel. Think twice before going with this company.

We still have not closed and I cannot even see the end of the tunnel. Think twice before going with this company.

This company also has a problem with telling the truth. They have you sign for one set of fees and then when you get to closing it is something else. I asked the loan officer I was dealing with Portia Parkinson has her company ever been reported before and she told me no, but I inquired with some of my friends that told me other wise and about some recent issues of the owner that seemed to be pretty underhanded.

In spite of being listed in the National Do Not Call Registry these slime balls keep calling my home. I guess they use some sort of automated system that call lots of people at the same time and them the sales person only has to talk to the 1st one who answers. It usually takes me several rings to get to the phone, so all I get is a dead line.

We received a mailing from National Fidelity Mortgage. The offer looked like just what we needed. We were looking to do some home repairs and wanted to consolidate our other bills. My husband contacted the company and spoke to Deneal Hill. He was very positive and made us feel as though he could deliver exactly what we needed. We started the process, an application and several other documents that arrived at our door by Fed-Ex. During this entire time, Mr. Hill kept reminding us that everything was in order and ready to go. He informed us we needed to obtain an appraisal of our property and referred us to Maryland Appraisals, LLC and Lynn S. Staples. We were reluctant to get the appraisal without knowing that the loan was approved, but Mr. Hill again assured us we were ready to go and scheduled the appraisal right away. Ms. Staples arrived at our home and was only in the house for about 5 minutes. She then informed us that we needed to pay a $400.00 fee to her at that time. Mr Hill then called us soon after that to let us know that our house appraised at $100,000 more than our payoff. We were ecstatic that the loan was going to happen! But a few days later, Mr. Hill called again and told us that he had run into some snags and couldn't write the loan. He suggested we consider a first mortgage. We reminded him that he had suggested this in the beginning and we weren't interested. We are very happy with our current mortgage rates. So, now we are out lots of time, $400.00, and we are really aggravated. We played phone tag with Mr. Hill and other employees of the company but none of them would return our calls. We then tried to obtain a copy of our appraisal but were told that we could not have a copy. It was only available to a mortgage company. It's been 2 months now and still no help from either National Fidelity or Maryland Appraisals. I intend to send a copy of this review to as many places as possible including the Better Business Bureau so that others will be informed of this company and they way they scam. I would never recommend this company to anyone.

PROS: The mailings look great!
CONS: Everything else.

We recieved a mailing from National Fidelity Mortgage for refinancing our house. We called the number on the letter, and started the process. First.. they were unwilling to give us the kind of loan we wanted so we stopped the process. Then a manager (Brian Geffrion) called us back and worked it out. We then completed the application for the refinance. It took nearly 3 months for this process to be completed! NFM also pre-maturely locked the rate of the refinance and it expired the day we closed, leaving us to have to pay a $1200.00 fee. They did not tell us about this fee until we sat down at closing. Thankfully, we were able to get NFM to pay, however that took an additonal week. They lost paperwork, had no communication and overall poor customer service. Not to mention at the end of the process they tried to come back and tell us that it was all our fault that they did the negative things that they did. I would not reccomend this company to anyone, friend or foe.
