Bob Bullock Museum

We love taking our kids here! Even though we go quite often, we always find something new to see! The prices on the food are a bit steep, but we just plan around that. The imax theater has to be our favorite!

This is an absolute must for anyone in Austin or coming to Austin.My children loved it something for all to see and learn about. Beautiful grounds and location. Take a picnic...The grounda are beautifully lanscaped and there are history monuements sprinkled everywhere throughout the grounds.The IMAX theatre is located on the inside as well.

PROS: Everyone is so nice,and knowledgeable about Texas History
CONS: Parking is a little hard to find,and their are meters except weekends

I love visiting this musuem. When you are at this museum you can also attend the IMAX theater which has changing shows frequently. The children enjoy all the information it provides and enjoy learning new things. It is kept up very nicely and the staff are very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The price is fair but the food court area is quite expensive as well as the gift shop. The tours run smoothly and the tour guides seem quite knowledgeable.

I have been here alot and I really like it. If you get a chance there is also a museum nearby for you to see great stuff from history. This movie theatre is great because you don't have to worry about seeing a movie that is not fit for kids. All of their movies are awesome, great images!

This place is amazing. The exhibits are extraordinary and it keeps us coming back! Our 8 year old is into learning everything and Texas History is a must. There's always something new to see because they change the exhibits every so often. The IMAX theater is great and you can visit the gift shop for a little piece of Texas History.

PROS: Great Texas Learning experience - IMAX
CONS: Gift shop is alittle on the high side

The Bob Bullock museum is a great place to go and learn some of the history of our state. They have many displays ranging from pre columbus to modern. The displays are very informative and would be a great help to your child if they are doing a history report on Texas. After you have done your research you can treat your kids to a show at the IMAX which is located in the museum.
