Worth The Wait

I go to Worth the Wait when I am looking for something wonderful. I've found beautiful bags, business suits, a couple of terrific coats and lots of jewelry. The sales staff is helpful and I always find a great selection of merchandise. The look of the store is eclectic and colorful - you feel better just walking through the door. Worth the Wait is definitely worth the trip. Try it and you'll see what I mean.

Worth The Wait is totally awesome!! I love to shop! It is one of my favorite pasttimes. I love to go into worth the wait. I find the salespeople are friendly, but not pushy. The store is so cheerful and full of appealing merchandise. The mixture of new and second hand is a little different. It is so much more fun, interesting and appealing than going to the mall and getting something just like everyone else has!! The owner takes so much care to see that the store has the newest styles and latest fashions at competitive prices. I love shopping there and take all of my out of town visitors to the store. They always want to go back there when they visit!! And I don't blame them!!! It is a wonderful shopping experience. I also think it is so important in this economy to take a look at the money we spend on clothing and accessories. What better way to buy than through consignment. At one time we were all into consumption. This type of shopping represents what we need to do to be "green" and financially responsible. I don't feel so guilty after buying gorgeous items at Worth the Wait at fabulous prices!! Come on--it just makes sense!! See you there. I need my shopping "fix." Very happy to state that I am a long-time consigner and customer at "worththewait"...ever since the move to their current and beautifully appointed location. I enjoy consigning and purchasing everything from St. John to Free People...a wide variety indeed.

Few fine consignment shops enable you to purchase a designer garment as they do...one that is ready to wear (clean, pressed and free of snags, broken zippers, missing buttons, etc.) In all of these years, I've never had the need to return anything, but am confident that the sales staff (backed by the astute and professional owner) would find a satisfactory solution to any problem.

"worththewait" has enabled me to benefit fully from recycling my wardrobe and upgrading it in the process. In this economy, "worththewait" is one of Virginia Beach's (and Tidewater's) true hidden treasures. Besides being one of the most aesthetically beautiful stores in this region (perhaps the state) with its hand-painted walls, dressing rooms, artistic/eclectic displays, the selection of designer-label consignment clothing, costume jewelry, unique gifts, and rich leather handbags...it's such a delight to shop in a delightfully fun environment...one in which you can be assured you're going to find that "one of a kind" item that will just blow away your friends!

Every day brings about new selections! Go!!!! You will thank me!

Worth the Wait is an amazing store. It's the type of place you can't leave, without finding something you loooove! I've never seen such great selection and prices on designer consignment items anywhere. I don't know what these people are talking about, but, the staff is always more than happy to help with a smile on their face. I have been shopping at this store for 3 years and I've always found unique and beautiful gifts and a little something for myself. I would recommend this store to anyone wanting to get some cool things at great prices! If you've never been here, you are definitely missing out!

I am the owner of worththewait and am distressed to see that anyone has had a negative experience at my store. If I have been perceived to be rude to anyone, I heartfully apologize.
1. I will stand behind anything I sell as authentic - if someone can bring me proof that a designer bag was not real I will give them a full refund. These are consignment items and I rely on the honesty of my consignors.
2. Any retail items (Jewelry, Handbags, Gifts) purchased can be returned for a store credit or exchange within 7 days - as stated on our receipt. I invite the person with 2 broken pieces to do so - I will be glad to make it right.
3. At one time I did sell designer copies - by request of many customers - they were ALL clearly marked as copies and everyone who bought them knew and loved what they bought. Obviously a huge mistake on my part - not to be repeated. I have NEVER misrepresented anything I have ever sold.
4. Yes, we are an upscale consignment boutique - featuring many designer labels. Unfortunately we must reject items from discount stores - and at times some consignors get upset. It is a standard that my customers expect and one that I am commited to.
5. I have been told that I shouldn't be upset or respond to a few disgruntled customers - but to me - even one unhappy customer is "one" too many.
6. We have been voted Best Consignment Boutique, Best Fashion Jewelry and Best Ladies Apparel 9 years in a row. We must be doing something right!
I ask that ANYONE who has had a bad experience with me or my business to bring it to my attention so that I might correct it - posting it here does not give me that chance. If I don't make it right after that - I deserve a negative review.

I agree with most of the reviewers that the owner in particular is very rude and a snob. Even though I have shopped there on numerous occassions and consigned clothes with her, she acts like I am a total stranger! BEWARE...I have bought 2 handbags on consignment as "real / authentic" that turned out to be fakes...a Kooba and a Chanel I discovered are fakes after doing research on the internet. The only saving grace is the Prada bag I bought is real.

I will never go there again! The staff is rude and judges you by what you wear and drive. We walked in the door not dressed our best because it is laundry day to consign some clothing. We had an apt then were called 1hr before the apt because the lady wanted to leave early. Then when we rush to get there she didnt even look at our clothing because of how we were dressed. She flat out said "I don't take walmart clothing" And im sorry but the shirt she had on was from walmart last yr and we had alot of name brands in our pile. This is the worst place i have ever been and the worst treated. I have told everyone I know to never go there. The way she acts is back in the day, If i were not white she prob would have called the cops.

I hope she closes. This place was the worst.

The owner has admitted and is being sentenced on federal charges of trafficking in counterfeit goods...need I say more?? I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner who happens to be one of the most rudest people I have ever met! I wouldn't want to buy from a store that runs on pure dishonesty.

The sales people are snotty, I've turned around and left without buying anything because of the way I've been treated. The only reason I go back is because they carry something that my mom likes...it's hard to find this item other places in the area. On one occasion I was basically chased out of the store at 545 because they were closing at 6.

the person below me is obviously insane. i am 17 years old, vera bradley is amazing. the jewlrey is cute, gorgeous even. the whole store just has such a warm beautiful feeling. i love this store, there is nothing wrong with being upscale, some people are just not so fortunate and they chose to look down on those who are. dont be jealous : ), this store is amazing.

This places touts itself as a consignment store, but their two racks of clothes only take up 1/4 of the store. And don't get me started about their snotty attitudes. The sales people and the store manager have got to be the snottiest and uptight women I have ever met - and the sad part is that they don't have anything to be uppity about - the store is over-packed with over the top blinky items that only my great grandmother would wear (but alas...my great grandmother has better taste than that gaudy stuff). This place is definitely NOT Worth the Wait. Drive by as quickly as possible.

Worth the wait is a newer store in the area (the name of htis store has changed numerous times) and we've really enjoyed it so far. They have a good variety of different consignment items, including clothing, purses, jewelry, and other knick knacks. They also carry different designer names such as Vera Bradley, so it really is a bit of everything for everyone. Prices vary depending on the item but you can definitely find some good deals.

Worth the Wait is an upscale consignment shop with a specialty shop built in. Right of the Blvd it is easy to get to and you will find all sorts of hidden treasures. I love the Sweet Street designed stuff and they have a large section of purses to choose from. The jewelry is very nice too. Very eclectic.

A friend of mine took me to this jewelery store the other day and I couldn't believe the selection they had. Any kind of jewelry, plus gift sets. They had silver, crystal, turquoise and anything else you might want. From Funky to upscale. Very easy to get too and plenty of parking. I would highly recommend to anyone who loves jewelry!!
