Glad I read these posts before I did business with this company. their ad says owner was with 82nd Airborne. So was I. Served with 3rd Brigade in Vietnam, 1968, Phu Bai/Hue City. So they had my business before I read this ad. Nope. Ain't gonna go with them. Nice work, Michelle, you poisoned your customer base. FYI, I can't find Freedom's listing in the Better Business Bureau for Arizona eventhough they list a BBB symbol on their homepage freedomac.com. Hmmmmmm?

Freedom Air is a total scam ! Their 'springtime special' offered 1lb of Freon and a free filter. They refused to give either. Two phone calls to the company to complain and nothing was done to even attempt to satisfy me as a customer. I've since paid another company to come out and service my air conditioner unit. They added exactly 1lb of Freon, and now its working perfectly. This should have been provided by Freedom Air, as promised in their 'springtime special'. As of this writing, I'm still waiting on the filters. Doubt I'll ever see them !!! DONT DO BUSINESS WITH FREEDOM AIR !!!!

My Elderly MOTHER called them and was charged almost $800.00 for a SPRING TUNE-UP and a part,and the install of that part. Our family friend who teaches A/C & Subzero @ a local TECH SCHOOL for nearly 12 yrs.,says that what "FREEDOM AIR" did was not the going price for what the receipt said ?!? He got his tools out and found that the TECH had NOT DONE WHAT HE HAD LISTED on that receipt!!! After further inspection there was a USED PART in-place of what was supposed to be a new one ! Also some screws were not replaced on the inspection hatch and would have possibly allowed insects to enter ! Now I DON'T THINK THIS CO. should be allowed to do this to trusting souls. So TAKE HEED & DO NOT USE THIS CO. by the way it should have only cost $100.00-$150.00 BIG DIFFERENCE

We had an old AC unit (Goettl) that was the original on our 1981 home that needed to be replaced. We had four vendors come to our home pitching different packages. We found that the salesman from Freedom Air did the best job specifying what our home needed and the size of unit we would need. We selected a 4 ton 14 SEER American Standard unit after doing our own research. The Freedom Air crew installed the unit efficiently and the unit ran beautifully all summer. We saw a 200 KWh drop in our electric bill each month which is about $50 - $100 a month savings just from changing out the unit. We also got our rebate from APS through Freedom Air as this unit qualified. I found the staff to be helpful and responsive to my requests when asking questions about the unit, the sale and the rebate. Freedom Air is definitely the low cost competitor in town. The offered the same unit to us at a significant savings. They don't have a lot of frills or fancy marketing material, but they did get the job done and we are very satisfied with our unit.

If you're smart, you'll run from Freedom AC. We had a new AC unit installed in August, they tore up our ceiling in many places, the registers were not straight, hardly attached to ceiling with multiple cuts outside the register edging, they wired the t-stat wrong, the roof leaks in SEVERAL places. Salesman and Owner came out, they were appalled at the work yet never followed through with fixing the three page list of repairs needed. Shannon in the office is very rude and lies, lies, lies. Please think twice before you get yourself in a bind with this company. You will regret it and your AC Unit Warranty will not be honored by mfg. Good Luck

i had freedom ac and plumbing come out for a leaky shower,that another company told me could not be fixed. John came out promptly and fixed it . then i showed him water under my wall mount toilet and he said it wasn't properly mounted and there was water damage in the wall he recommended H H resotoration they took care of the water damage and John could not find the parts to fix the toilet because the previous plumber had mickey moused it but he never gave up and found all the parts to fix it.John and Freedom are both very knowledgeable and will do whatever it takes to fix the problem i will recomend them to anybody from receptionists to the techs the company is a pleasure to work with!

I recd a call on 4th of july on a tune-up which included filter, 1 lb of refrigerant, air flow, and attic on my ac units for $34 each. I okay. Lady said someone can be there tomorrow. Fine. 11am a repairman (Lee) showed on time. Excellent check -up found a couple issues. Ac #2 cooling 20 dregees less than it should and need some fuses in the attic. But he didnt have the refrigerant to complete the tune-up. He didnt charge me for the tune-up. Suggest I have service call at $65. I said okay, I just want my ac units fixed. Dispatched called, someone could come after 2pm and its $95. okay. Well the famous Todd showed up. He told my husband and myself that ac #2 is going to blow-up and carrier units are garbage. If temps reach 118 its going to freeze up. He can get us a good deal. $3000 for a new one. My ac units are only 41/2 yrs old. All they need is refrigerant. Todd thought he could get money fast and we are just dum when it comes to ac units. NOT!!!!!!!!!! What happen to him just putting in refrigerant and fuses. Well that what my husband demand he do. He supposed put in 1 lb and an additional amount. Then he charged us $106 1st lb and $89 for additional $95 serv charge. I just recd a total over the phone, no breakdown. My husband and I were both at work, therefore both repairmen communicated with us over the phone. My son was home. I was very upset with the charges. Its went from $70 for a tune-up to $265 for 1 lb plus and addtitional refrigerant. What exactly is additional refrigerant? I was over charged. My credit card company said they ran my card four times. I would not refer this company to my worst enemy. I want my money back and I want this company to have a strike on they record. I did talk to Helen at Freedom air and she was not
to concern about her repairmen Todd and his rudeness, dishonesty, and over charging me. I will keep pursuing this issue of being over charged.

I had Freedom Air come and tune up my two AC units. All in all I was quite pleased with their service. They were on time and did a extensive checkup on both the units outside and in my attic. He recommended a couple of things "Life time washable filters" and indoor/outdoor coil cleaning. I did not feel pressured into anything and I felt the technician was quite courteous.

I had scheduled a service and tuneup with Freedom Air Conditioning guys over the phone as a promotion for 34.95 per a/c. This guy called Todd came out on time and had called me prior to coming out. He looked professional. He immediately goes out to the AC units located outside and checks for some stuff and tells me Start Assist is gone bad and it will cost 200$/ piece and 400$/2 units. I was deciding to go for it or not., since I had the manufacturer warranty on them.
Instead of bieng patient he was hurrying me up for the decision. I gave him a go ahead and he started unscrewing the capacitors, in just couple of minutes I changed my mind not get it done from him since it was more than 400$. I told him to stop and he became upset with it and yelled at me stating that he will charge me labor charge for an hour for which he just spent 2 min and may be 5 min on my decision. After bargaining with him he agreed to charge me for half hour. After which he pretended to check some stuff and said everything was alright.. He did not want to go to my attic to check other units as promised over the phone, but after insisting he went on attic and checked it and told that one of the run unit has gone bad. I told him that since the units were under warranty, I will get it fixed. He gave me the bill. I asked him for the washable filters as promised over the phone. Instead of giving me the filters he became totally upset and started saying that I do not believe him and think he is a liar. I told him to give me the filters and walk away with his money, instead he started fighting and yelled at me that I was not a nice man. I was upset and called the Freedom and the lady over the phone said that the manager was not in today. I finally told Todd to give the filters and take his check or walk away. He was almost there to fist fight with me. I closed the door on this man and told that I will complain to their office

Keep off from Freedom AirConditioning if you can. Atleast from Todd !

In June 2007, after being solicited by this company, during a maintenance service call, the repairman replaced two parts in my old 1989 A/C unit, for a total of $400.00. I was not sure whether the repair was necessary, but the unit did work much better after the parts were replaced. The following month (July 2007), my air handler started leaking water, so I called Freedom A/C again. A different serviceman came out (Shane), and he told me that my drain pan needed to be replaced. Since the part for that machine is no longer made, he recommended replacing the entire air handler. I decided it was foolish to keep putting money into an A/C unit that is almost 20 years old, so I asked for a quote for a new A/C system: air handler and heat pump. We agreed on a price and an installation date. When the installation crew came out two days later, I learned that Shane had been fired, allegedly over a dispute with the owner, and the lead installer told me that I got a "good price" on the system. I asked him if the price was going to change, and he said no. They installed the system, and everything works great. However, Freedom billed my credit card an additional $374.34 that was NOT authorized (in addition to the full amount for the system). Helen at Freedom admitted it was their mistake, and that she would credit my card that day. The amount posted to my credit card and it took a week or so for my card to be credited, but it was finally resolved.

I called and left a polite, detailed message of the issue I had with the amount and she didn??t call me back. I called again a week later and was treated deplorably. Michelle yelled at me and talked over me. She never denied the original quote, but told me that I didn??t ask the right question when I asked how much it would be. She never answered me when I asked what the right question would be. She said that it was a waste of her time to argue with me and she was going to put a lean on my home, then HUNG UP ON ME! This is the first time that I spoke with anyone from the company about this issue and was shocked at how unprofessionally and rudely I was treated. Avoid this company like the plague.

They called me back within a couple of minutes of leaving a message (before office hours), and had a technician out to our place within 20 minutes. He had our ac fixed and running within a couple of hours...before the heat of the day set in. They were wonderful!!!
