What's all the hype about?
by D M.
I wanted to try the new Pink Taco in Scottsdale because I read that the owner didn't think there were any good Mexican food restaurants in the valley. I will only say that I found the food average. Not overly impressed with the service, although they did just open a couple weeks ago so that might improve with time.
Mr. Morton - there are tons of Mexican food restaurants in the Valley of the Sun that blow yours away!

Pink Taco and Karoake

First of all, have to say, I LOVE the Pink Taco! It's like a night club, but on a smaller scale, not so much of the typical night club 'meat market' scene. The karoake show, provided by 2 Tons of Fun Entertainment, is a blast and you don't have to be a great singer to participate. They encourage everyone to just have fun and never allow rudeness or booing of singers. Pink Taco staff, including security personnel, are all very friendly. Try it out!
PROS: The night club scene minus the 'meat market' feel
CONS: Gets very crowded and seating is minimal

There isn't a dish at Pink Taco that I don't LOVE. The bar staff is fantastic - fun, flirty, and great to watch while they work. The serving staff seems to consist of pretty girls who don't pay much attention to their jobs, and male servers who are also attractive, but much more attentive to the customers. Wednesday nights are an especially good night to dine, since they put on a karaoke show. You can eat and be entertained at the same time! The atmosphere is young and fast paced, and you are surrounded by unique decor while you dine. I would recommend Pink Taco despite the bad service - the ambience and great food are well worth the wait.
PROS: Quality of food, bar staff, tons of menu choices, good atmosphere
CONS: Slow serving staff

How about some spice with your dinner
by Kenneth G.
After going to bad Mexican Restaurants for the past two months, I decided to try the Hard Rocks Pink Taco. The place has an ambience of fun and a festive dcor. Service is spot on and the food is very well prepared and presented. As the saying goes at the Hard Rock, this place ROCKS.
PROS: Great Service
CONS: Great Food

I really enjoy the Pink Taco. The food is always great and the bar staff is very cool and fun to watch. The serving staff is okay - they tend to not watch their tables too closely (although the male staff I've had did awesome). I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, even if you ahve kids, and want to have great food with a killer view.

The only reason I dine at Pink Taco is for the food. I really like the Nachos and the Sangria but the service sucks. I think that they hire cute girls that are not very bright. I am always looking for them to refill drinks or something but the atmosphere is nice.
PROS: Atmosphere & food
CONS: Poor Service

Don't think it's very expensive, although some prices could go down. They aren't your typical mexican restaurant. Located in the Hard Rock, you should probably like that atmosphere first and foremost. Lighting is dim, but is decoarted with a fashionable elegance.

Fun Mexican Food at the Hard Rock

Pink Taco in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (4455 Paradise Road) has a fun menu, great salsas, wonderful chips, and provides great value. Tortillas are made on-site, and there are several unique dishes. We especially love the Mexican Turkey Chopped Salad (which we get tossed with salsa instead of dressing), the Rajas & Potatoes, and the Achiote Grilled Chicken Breast. On the downside, weve been there several times during off-peak hours, when food has been re-warmed (and is dried out or not fully heated), service has been really slow, and the entire experience has been painful. Also, there are only a few booths, and many tables have bench-style chairs, which do not have backs.
