Madison Square Park is a cute little park in NY. I went there on our visit to NY so my daughter could play a bit instead of shop. She liked it there- we were warned that is a bit seedy at night.

I went to this park for the New York City BBQ where reataurants from all over the county came to showcase their BBQ food. The festival was wonderful and the food was delicious. The park itself provoded enough room for all of the companies and for a stage for performances. There is a large grassy area for people to lounge and have a picnic. A "shake shack" sells cold drinks on hot days.

There are homeless people and druggies in this previously cute little park. I was never scared to walk anywhere, but when I attended Baruch College, I was even afraid to walk thru here if I was late for class!

On the corner of 23rd and Broadway, this nice little park is a completely different place in the night and the day. During the day, it is crowded and full of people eating, playing in the grass and filling up the many benches. At night it is quiet and peaceful, and the space doesn't even look the same. There is also a lot of new, abstract structures.
