Roller Coaster!

by Michael T. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 307

If you're visiting Las Vegas, the one thing you must check out is the New York New York's roller coaster! It takes you up really high and then drops! They also have a really good selection of arcade games, midway games, and night clubs!

loved it

by Leonard G. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 11,342

We loved the New York New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. It was filled with so much energy, that you couldn't help but have the time of your life. The casino was alot of fun to be in, and the bars that they had on premises were alot of fun too. The rollercoaster was a bit overrated....it jerked us around more than anything else....it was really overpriced too. We will definetely stay at this hotel the next time we are in Vegas. In my opinion, this hotel has one of the best atmospheres that you can find in the city. A definite must see for anyone new coming to visit Las Vegas!

Ride the roller coaster, gamble, party city style!

by Anonymous

So much to do at this resort - Ride the roller coaster, gamble, party city style - Coyote Ugly is inside this hotel. Also, check out the shows too. Tons of rooms available. Located right on the Vegas strip across from the MGM Grand. Worth a visit whether you plan to stay in the hotel room or not...check out the inside and the casino/restaurants/shows! Ride the roller coaster, but plan on a ride!

Love It!

by Susan K. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 9,901

I love this hotel! First off, the rollar coaster is awesome; starts off inside and then you are outside! You need to check it out during the day and for a completely different experience AT NIGHT. It's awesome! The outside of the hotel is decorated like New York with a Brooklyn Bridge and a mini Statue of Liberty. New York, New York is also home to Coyote Ugly! Everyone needs to go check out that bar and get up and dance on the bar (if you are female!)!! You can't beat this experience!

New York New York

by Angelica Y. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 11,977

Just when I thought I've seen all of the bright ideas you can implement into a casino they have New York New York. They make the casino appear as if your actually in New York with the sky scraper buildings in front of the casino. Then they have these roller coaster rides that fly by in and out of the casino which is pretty sweet.

Excellent place to party NY style in Vegas!

by Anonymous

This hotel is truly New York style. Large, grand casino. A roller coaster that runs in and outside of the hotel! Coyote Ugly bar. Large and spacious accommodations. So much to do and see in this one resort. Check out the coaster...it's worth the ride, but hold on! Great eateries throughout the casino! The blackjack chairs look like tuxedo vests...so cute! Intricate details throughout.

Big Apple

by Niccholas M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,823

New York New York is a great hotel. It looks wonderful from the outside with all of the lights on. The room I stayed in was spacious and quiet. The bathroom was nice, but not quite as big as the bedroom. I enjoyed the casino. The location cant be beat. Parking is very convenient and easy here.

Yay

by Kitty W. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,491

This hotel is amazing. Me and my kids absolutely loved the roller coaster here. The Strip is easily accessible from this hotel. The restaurants here are very expensive (in my opinion) and don't even have the best food. The room we stayed in was comfy and clean. Service here was excellent.

and?

by jill n. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,069

Yeah, so it has a roller coaster, big deal! In the sparkling city of Las Vegas, properties must be unique, luxurious and amazing to stand out. Look at the competition! NY, NY is none of these. As we arrived, they informed us they had overbooked the hotel and made us (my entire group of rooms) stay at another casino the first night (how I love to unpack and repack) This shuttling around caused us to miss a show for which we had fantastic seats. Our rooms were very small. The whole property lacks character. Many of the restaurants were chains and overall NY, NY was pretty boring. The pros: the casino experience was better the cocktail waitresses were polite and speedy. The slot situation was good if youre into that. My advice when in Vegas, get your moneys worth - there are plenty of places to do so.

Excellent hotel on the strip

by Jody T. | insider Insider | Rank: 20,873

New York New York is a bit cheesy, but so is Vegas. A great hotel right on the strip, convenient to everything. It is huge, so be sure to ask for a room near the elevators.

Good value

by T. N. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,324

I stayed at NYNY Hotel and Casino a few months ago. The rooms at this hotel are very nice. I was upgraded upon arrival by the man at the check-in desk. The rooms were spacious with nice marble sinks in the bathroom. The views from the room were great, overlooking the Strip. The roller coaster is great fun and well worth the 14 dollars a ride.

So cool

by Olggie Z. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,303

What an idea, what a way to bring people in. Put a roller coaster in your hotel. Not that the rollercoaster was so exciting, but just the fact that it was a hotel rollercoaster! This hotel is awesome! All the scenery to make it look like New York, these people have really done their stuff. I had a great night walking around just seeing everything that the hotel had. Lots of fun.

Amazing roller coaster

by CJ A. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 12,204

The roller coaster at this hotel is a blast. It's like the old fashioned kind of wood roller coasters they had on the boardwalk in New York. It's a pretty long and exciting ride. You might not like it if you might getting jerked around a little.

Roller Coaster, and ESPN Zone.

by Joshua K. | insider Insider | Rank: 29,242

This place has 1 of the most intense roller coaster's. With a massive drop that puts your stomach in your throat also containing a half corkscrew half loop, its awsome.
ESPN Zone is the sports lovers dream. Great food, great drinks and the biggest T.V.'s I have ever seen, sports are always on. You can also sit in a booth with your own personal t.v. A little pricey, but its worth it. when your done go upstairs to the arcade, tons of game, somewhat reasonbly priced.

PROS: Instense Coaster, Food is #1
CONS: A little high priced for the coaster. sometimes long wait for ESPN zone

NY NY Arcade!

by Lisa R. | insider Insider | Rank: 17,199

We brought our 2 year old son to the Arcade at the New York New York and had a blast with him. He was running around having a great time. There were some things for him to play with that actually occupied him! They have giant machines that grab a huge stuffed animal, watching him watch that was great, seeing the amazement on his face! They also have a great selection for kids to choose a prize from with the tickets they won playing games.

Great location

by Chad I. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,807

The New York New York hotel and casino has a great location and is right in the heart of the Strip. However, I was disappointed with the average at best rooms and the lack of any service anywhere in the hotel.
Make sure your room isn't close to the roller caoster or it will keep you awake, depending on when you're sleeping.

PROS: perfect location
CONS:

YOU FEEL LIKE YOU ARE IN NEW YORK

by BARBARA S. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,831

This is definitely one to see. It is beautiful and has a lot to offer. A great location on the strip so you can get to other sites too. Found the staff to be friendly and helpful. People that have been to New York before say that this reminds them of the real thing.
