DJ's Day Care II is Neglectful

by Patricia S.

Neglectful. I had my daughter in there for 6 months in the baby room. During that time I questioned the young, teenagers watching her. I thought being a first time mom, I needed to let go. Well after 6 months of watching the babies never get held while feeding, only given the bottle to be propped up and if it fell out of their mouths too bad, 20 minutes later they may catch it. I witnessed 4-8 week old babies have blankets in their cribs. This daycare knows nothing about SIDS. I also witnessed them using hot-water from the tap to make the oatmeal. The old piping has lead, therefore giving your child lead. They lied to me all the time about her injuries, or how much she ate that day. I use to nurse her everyday at lunch and watch them throw away 90 percent of full bottles that the babies never drank at lunch. They only have one nap time for the day. What child doesn't take a nap in the morning and late afternoon????? By the time I would pick her up she was exhausted and I would have to put her down for a nap when I came home. My baby was bitten the last week enrolled and they missed it. They recorded as a toy pinching her. Every mother knows what a bite mark looks like. So again they lied. Then they called me saying my daughter had chicken pox and that they don't know where my daughters been and they don't appreciate me bringing her in. It was a viral rash not contagious. A few dots, no big deal. Her last day, she was bitten again, and of course they missed it. So please spend the extra $100 to find a better facility that cares about your baby. Its worth it. I witnessed on more than 3 or 4 occasions there were more babies and toddlers then the staff required. How can you manage a class of 4 weeks to 24months when their are 7-8 of them and one of you? Find another daycare.

Anything but terrible, and if they took dogs my dogs would go there

by Adam K.

After reading some of the reviews I felt that it was important that I gave some feed back on the school. We have a ten year old son that went to the school for three years and now have a daughter that is 2 years old and attending the school. We have tried to use a nanny but we felt that because of the activities and staff that our kids were receiving at DJ's that it was more beneficial for them to be there instead of being at home all day. I would prefer for the playground to be grass instead of sand but the quality of staff is great and I feel confident that when I drop my daughter off that she is being taken care of and that is most important to our family.

Terrible Terrible

by Johnathan K.

Terribly run organization. They are constantly understaffed and over ratio. The owner Debbie has put her own daughter in the Directors position as the previous Director simply couldn't handle holding this wreck together anymore. At least one of the teachers at the older school isn't even certified in anyway to be a teacher. She slipped in because she taught something in the Army.? The food is pathetic, the staff is less than adequate and it's WAY over priced because of the Christian tag. Don't take your kids here.

I agree, I wouldnt let them watch my dog

by Heather C.

Our daughter was enrolled for a short period of time in the 4yr old class room. This facility is disorganized and very unprofessional. On several occasions we observed children being left alone inside the building with no supervision, as well as a high turn over in staff.
Not to mention your child comes home filthy dirty everyday because there is no grass on the play yard! Parent concerns are not taken seriously, nor is the facility properly cleaned. I would not recommend anyone to take their children here.

Look elsewhere

by Anonymous

All I can say is YOU MUST BE KIDDING! This school is run by a complete Nincompoop and the Owner isn't much better. Debbie (owner) is more worried about the parents knowing she is the owner than running her business correctly. Kids are left alone without supervision quite frequently and they are always understaffed as the childcare givers can not stand the fool Debbie has hired as the director, they say they provide lunch for the little ones which consist of of a sandwich (white bread, mayo and one slice of bologna) and a sliver of a pickle and should your child DARE ask for more you are told you will be charged for the extra food. I yanked my son from there so FAST, I wouldnt let them watch my dog!!!

Children learn here...

by Ginny B. | insider Insider | Rank: 14,610

This Center is a few years old and built to fullfil a dream. If there is something a child wants to do, they just might be able to find it at DJ's II. They can paint, and play, and learn, and share, and have fun. The teachers are dedicated and willing.
