My wife and I take our grandchildren to the park every year on the second weekend in October. The kids have a great time and over the past few years, the ride attendants have gotten better with respect to politeness and caring. This year the younger attendants have gone back to their disinterested ways. Furthermore, we've had an incident with the food concessions each of the last three years. This year was the worst! My wife ordered the Asian vegetable dish with noodles and halfway through the meal, she bit into a razor sharp two inch thin piece of metal. She returned the dish along with the piece of metal indicating the dish should be removed and not sold to any other unsuspecting customers. The manager did not nothing and they continued selling the dish. We will not return and will try warn as many future customers as possible. The food is not cheap either.

Dutch Wonderland a fun amusement park to go to whether you are young or old. It is special because of the fact that they have a lot more rides little kids can ride than most other amusement arks have so it makes it fun for them too. The staff that is hired there is friendly and the park is very clean especially for all the kids you see there. The bathrooms are always clean and kept tidy and so is the restaurants that are throughout the entire park. This is a really great place to enjoy with your family members or with friends.

Dutch Wonderland is a great place for a family to enjoy one another for the day or for multiple days. This amusement park would be highly recommended for families with younger children. It has a water park in the park so if you go on a hot day you will be able to enjoy that feature. I would recommend this to families with young children because Dutch Wonderland has the rides for them that most other amusement parks dont have. I would advise people to go to this park if you want to enjoy yourself for the day with your children.

We love going to dutch wonderland once a year. The kids love it as well as us.
It is very expensive so plan to get your hand stamped (to get back in) and go acrossed the street to pizza hut or arby's for a cheaper meal for lunch.
Years ago they allowed guests to bring coolers in so you could eat your home packed lunch inside the park but they now changed that so your not allowed to bring outside food in at all.
The employees here are all very friendly and the park is always kept clean.

PROS: kids love it
CONS: prices are extremely out of control

Dutch Wonderland is fun for all ages. The theme park provides displays, shows, and rides for children of all ages. There are many spacious areas to eat lunch. The park demonstrates the Pennsylvania Dutch lifestyle through displays. Although a little expensive, your day will be filled and you will have a wonderful time.

This park is beautiful, clean, friendly, safe, and perfect for the children. It has areas for smoking, water areas for a nice cool down, and pleanty of rides for a child from three to the age of ten. An older child would not enjoy this park. The atmosphere is not made for an "exciting" day, but more of a fun and mythical one. The park is doused with gardens and even a top of the line diving show will put on- watchers in awe.

PROS: Clean, cute, fun, classy and friendly
CONS: not suitable for an older child crowd

Dutch Wonderland is a fun amusement park that is probably best suited to families with children about 10 years of age and younger. The park does not contain the typical thrill rides like roller coasters. Instead, nearly everything is targeted towards younger guests. The water park is a welcome new addition to the park. The grounds are very well kept, and the park is easy to navigate. As is typical with these kinds of attractions, the prices are steep- both for admission and for food and drinks once you are inside. The park has changed over the years, but it is still a necessary trip for anyone travelling to Lancaster County with young children.

Located about 45 minutes away from larger, more well-known HersheyPark, some visitors may wonder if a trip to Dutch Wonderland is worth it. I'd say it depends on the age and temperament of your children. DW is great for the younger set. There are more slower, gentler, family-type rides and attractions, and the park itself is smaller. The ticket prices are also cheaper. HersheyPark did take over ownership of DW a few years ago, and I would say that it hasn't really benefitted visitors. Prices went up, more rules went into place, and some of the old-fashioned charm of the place is now gone.

But, if you are looking for a quieter amusement park for your family, DW is the place to go. Plus, with its location in Lancaster, there are plenty more attractions in the surrounding area to fill your time.

Dutch Wonderland is a really cute amusement park on route 30 in Lancaster County. They are defintley a smaller scale amusement park. They only have one roller coaster which is pretty uneventful called the Sky Princess. It's good for kids but not for adults who are used to the big coasters.
My favorite ride is the little house that appears to go upside down. You go in and sit on a bench that swings back and forth. It creates the illusion that you are going upside down. Really what happens though while you are only swinging back and forth is that the actual outside of the house spins around. It's a pretty old ride and a lot different than those you find at other amusement parks.
Dutch Wonderland has an old charm. It is definitely a good family fun day.

Dutch Wonderland is the best amusement park I have ever been to. I did like it better when it was owned by Earl Clark. When he died, his kids were very eager to profit from their father's death and sold it to Hersheypark. They removed most of the stuff Earl Clark built, like the mini circus and pictures of him, and Hershey raised all the prices. Park entry fees almost doubled, and while picnics were allowed in the park, Hershey quickly put an end to it. Now you will pay $3.50 for a can of soda, and $5 for a slice of pizza. Hershey even pulled out some of Clark's rides, like the Old 99 trains and built no replacement. Regardless, the park is still great. I suggest buying a season pass for $100, since a one day ticket is about $30. If you visit a few times, after that you are getting in free. I have traveled all over the country, and this park has some of the best rides anywhere, because Earl Clark brought in people from all over the world to build his rides, including England, Germany and Sweeden. There is great history in the park, but Hershey is slowly destroying it all the time.

PROS: one of a kind rides from all over the world you will only find here
CONS: very high food and drinks, annoying random searches

This park is like a 2nd home for my children and myself. They have great rides, including a haunted train that goes up to 45 mph! Be sure to visit Big Bunny's fudge house and get some free fudge. Also I was very impressed by the shrine to the deceased owner: Earl Clark. Look for it in the train tent! Your kids will love it here.

Dutch Wonderland is a neat family orinated amusement park. It's smaller than other amusement parks in the area but that's one thing I like about it. It seems to be based more for children than adults but that's what makes it a great place for family fun.

Dutch Wonderland is the PERFECT amusement park for all and especially for those with younger children-under age 12.
its located right on Route 30 in Lancaster, Pa and has over 30 fun rides all geared to younger kids and their parents, including a fun trainride that goes throughout the park!
There is also a waterpark area-'Duke's Lagoon' -where you and the kids can cool off. AND a sky-train ride that goes above the park, all through it and out over the parking lot and back around! lol

We took our two youngest children there a few times, when they were younger and believe me, this is great for those with kids too young to enjoy the 'larger big-name' amusement parks.
There are colorful characters and shows they put on for the kids.
They offer themed birthday parites too!
PLUS, there is the beautiful International Botanical Gardens on site as well.
The park is well-maintained, clean and 'kid-safety' conscious.
It is opened from memorial day thru Labor day and some dates in spring, fall and winter weekends.
Their website is:
www.dutchwonderland.com

PROS: Great Amusement Park for the young and 'young at heart!' FUN, fun, fun!
CONS: Can be a bit pricy-but all amusement parks are. lol

My family and I try to come here every year. My children are 2 and 5 and they really love coming to this park. It is so clean and all of the people they have working there have been so friendly. They have some really cute shows, like the Frog Prince. My kids really enjoyed that one! The rides are so fun and my 2 yr old can get on just about everything with her big brother. So much for the kids to see and do!

PROS: Clean, friendly and the rides are perfect for the little ones
CONS: Wish it was open a little later in the evening

The owners of Dutch Wonderland also own and operate Hersheypark. The park is more focused for younger children and is definitely a great park for toddlers. There is a very cool water park that is included in the price of the tickets. We have taken our son (at age 2 and 3) for the last two years and he has an absolute blast every time we go. The ticket price is a little on the high side but you don't have to pay for parking and there is a picnic grove so you can take your own meal(s). Overall a great park if you have young children.

Dutch Wonderland is an amusement park located around the Amish community in Lancaster. Admission is almost $30 for adults and almost $24 for kids. Kids under 2 get in free. This is not the place for teens or adults. There are no big thrill rides and pretty much everything is made for small children. I would say children under the age of 10 would have a wonderful time here. For older children, I would advise going to Dorney Park in Allentown. They have a small waterpark area in Dutch Wonderland for children and have changing rooms and lockers. They also have a few overpriced places to eat, but if you can wait until later, there is an inexpensive restaurant right across the street from the park. Parking is free which is a big plus. You're children will have a wonderful time here!

PROS: Lots of rides and attractions
CONS: It caters to small children
