3 Stars: Indie movies (by John F.)

If you are into the smaller indie movies, this is the place to be. I had never been there up until 4 months ago, and I now want to know what was stopping me. I didn't expect what was inside. A nice, old theater with a modern feel to it. There are discounted prices for students, and nice concession area, and a seated area with all the news papers and magazines you could need while you wait for your movie to start. The theater was clean, and well kept. I can't wait until there is another movie I want to see there.

5 Stars: Indie Films Abound (by Marcey C.)

The Main Art Theatre is a wonderful place to see independent and foreign films. It's in an easy to find location in downtown Royal Oak, and the theatre offers their own parking lot. Within walking distance of many restaurants, it makes for a great night out downtown. They have a midnight film series as well that often offers up classic movies for a bit of late night entertainment.
