Only Theme Park Left In Vegas

by Michael T. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 304

They have about a dozen or so good rides and it's always pact. There the only theme park left here in Vegas, which is sad because Las Vegas is a big town. I would recommend and it's pretty cheap to get in too.

an ok time

by Leonard G. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 11,295

We were mistakenly booked into a room at Circus Circus hotel by our travel agent....We were 23 and 24 at the time...ready for a good time in vegas....We were not prepared to stay in a hotel that was overrrun by children and clowns. Not to mention the fact that it is so far away from the main strip. It cost us a small fortune to take taxi rides up to the New York New York area each night. We were not impressed with this hotel. Perhaps we would have had a better experience had we been prepared for the environment. On the bright side, it was a really good deal for a room in vegas! In general, prices are great...location is bad.

Great for the whole family!

by Catherine Y. | insider Insider | Rank: 19,092

Circus Circus Hotel and Casino is a wonderful place to take the family. It has a level esepecially for children. There are video games, entertainment, shows, etc. From that level you can look down on the casino floor. If you are bringing your family to Las Vegas, this is a hotel that can keep everyone busy.

One of the older hotels but lots for the kids to do

by Anonymous

While on the strip, this is further down and does have an indoor amusement partk. You can tell, however, that it is one of the older hotels. Not the top-of-the-line, new look to it whether you are inside or out, but one of the few resorts left in Las Vegas that has a bunch for children to do, so if you're taking the family, check it out! Some shops are here too.

Too many children

by Michelle P. | insider Insider | Rank: 14,317

While the gaming floor itself is nice, I felt like I could hardly walk through the rest of the resort without tripping over children. Walking back to our Manor room at night (outside through the parking lot) was intimidating because of the large groups of tweeners running around unsupervised. Even if the price is by far the cheapest in town, I couldn't bring myself back to this resort for more than a quick run in to ride the roller coaster.

Circus Circus Review

by Jasmine J. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 8,198

This place is the worst. The building reeks of tobacco as soon as you hit the doors. The place is so jam packed with tourists that it takes 30 minutes to play a game. The prizes are pretty sad, I think I won like 10 tootsie rolls for twenty dollars.

Super Place For Kids- Just Not For Adults

by J. R. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,323

Okay, I'll admit. When we booked a room at the Circus Circus, we were thinking about our child and not us. While this hotel is kid-friendly, the hotel room was tackfully done. Circus themed rooms-- including the bright and blinding walls. Yes, this is the Circus Circus hotel, but must they do this same kind of decor for their rooms? Granted, it has been a while since we've stayed here and I'm hoping, hoping and hoping, they've changed their color scheme. If not, then make sure you take plenty of aspirins with you. You're going to need it.

Having said all that, the entertainment provided by Circus Circus is truly wonderful for the kids. There's an arcade, Midway, and a real live Circus act going on on the second floor. (First floor is where all the gambling is held at). And lets not forget the Adventuredome, a five-acre theme park. Kids love it and sometimes that's all that matters, right?

Scary Place

by Jason E. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 11,352

This place is not a place I would want to stay. It is a hotel that is themed towards children but I would not let my child run around this hotel. The crowd was a little sketchy on the night we went. It is a run down looking hotel and casino. It does offer a theme park but again, I would not let any child go in there alone while you gambled. This hotel needs a major renovation. I would have liked to see more security around the hotel/casino since I saw so many children wandering around by themselves. It would have made me feel safer for the children's sake.

We love this place

by Julie K. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,989

While it is true that buying admission to individual rides is expensive here, but if you've got the time, go for the all day pass at around $20.00, even cheaper with the $4.00 off coupons I see all the time. I still think this is one of the best entertainment deals in Vegas. One of my favorite parts is that I can buy the all day pass for my kids, but not for myself and still accompany my kids for the day inside the park. I also think think that the snack bar is very reasonably priced, especially when you compare it to the outrageous prices that the CA theme parks charge for food.

Fun for kids

by Julie B. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 11,227

This is a pretty neat casino, as it has a whole floor of games for kids (and adults). The casino area is very smoky and outdated. They definitely need to update. It just looks cheap, compared to the other places on the Strip. The games were fun though. Carnival type games.

Entertainment for 14 year and two 6 years old!

by J.E. S. | insider Insider | Rank: 25,640

My niece recently came from out of town. We met up at Circus Circus. We took my great nieces to the amusement park there. We were able to keep all three of them entertained even though there was an eight year difference. However, we did find that the prices were extremely expensive to ride the rides.

PROS: Great Entertainment for kids under 21
CONS: Price!

Circus Circus

by Carol K. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 8,011

We visted Circus Circus with my little cousins. the casino itself was very nice. There were alot of fun things that children could do. the food buffetts were pretty decent too. But the rooms in the hotel were pretty gross for the amount that we paid. The bathrooms were so dirty, I didn;t even want to take a shower. Snd there were bugs in the corners of the floor. It was gross. So if you want to visit Circus Circus, it is very fun. But staying in the actual hotel is a mistake1

Circus circus arcade is rock!!

by Kristina M. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,288

I went there once and I had a blast. They have all kind of fun games. The place is big and it's like a huge circle. The prizes are not bad. They have churros/hot dog/drink stands as well.
Remember to hold your kids tight when you come here with them. They might get lost because the place can be very crowded.

The Kids will Love it!

by Laura H. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 7,742

My grandchildren loved attending the Circus Circus Theme Park. We spent an afternoon of thrill seeking with our two grandsons, both under 9 years of age. They didn't go on any of the "scary" rides, but they really enjoyed the arcades games, and had the most fun in the baseball cage, where they perfected their baseball stance, and as a virtual ball is thrown, they get the opportunity to practice their swing. I think this is A-1 entertainment for kids of all ages. The grounds are well supervised and there is plenty of staff available to answer any and all questions.

Bad hotel, nice themepark

by Diana L. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,069

Don't stay here. The place is old and stinky. The parking garage is creepy. The thempark is pretty good for Las Vegas standards, but can't compare to big cities. The adventure dome is an inside amusement park, sort of like a carnival. Small rides, nothing major. Lots of video games. It's indoors, but the enclosure is a pink glass dome which protects you from the heat of summer and cold of winter. It's fun to take the kids, but it's not really fun for adults. This is the only "amusement park" we have, so you don't have much choice.

Amusement Park Review

by Donna W. | insider Insider | Rank: 23,387

This amusement park is well worth the money when you consider the prices for just one ride at other venues. However, be aware that the independent vendors inside do not take credit cards. My grandson was very disappointed when he picked out a style and hat to have airbrush painted with his name only to find out they would not accept our credit card for the purchase. Since we do not carry cash if at all possible, it put a cloud over an otherwise good time.

PROS: Good rides, accessible, one day pass is good value
CONS: Not enough food options close to park, vendors only accept cash

Adventuredome is great, casino is so-so

by Beth D. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 2,948

The adventuredome is definitely the highlight of this place. The kids absolutely love the rides and attractions here. However, the casino and the midway leaves a lot to be desired. This is definitely one Las Vegas landmark that needs some serious updating. The inside of the casino looks like something you would see in a bad 70's movie. Go for the amusement park, but not much else.

Circus Circus

by Olggie Z. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 1,290

Circus Circus isn't the nicest hotel, but the fast that it is in Vegas really raises its appeal. If you are into luxury and flashy stuff, dont stay here. This is one of the cheap hotels in Vegas, you can get a great deal on a room here. I really like the fact that the time that I came here when I wasn't a Guest I was still able to watch the show. That was really cool with all the acrobats and such.

Indoor Park that has done away with sunburn. It all inside a big glass tent. It was a lot of fun for the kids and easy on the parents as well. It seems to be a safe place for kids and the Halloween display is way cool. Look for the big pink dome on the strip.

PROS: great place for fun
CONS: too much fu

DO NOT STAY AT CIRCUS CIRCUS

by angela p. | insider Insider | Rank: 21,333

I saw the hotel on the internet and I was very exited. Traveling from Washington DC to Vegas. The lobby should've been a indication of how the rooms were but once we arrived I thought It can only get better. I was wrong. The lobby is outdated and smelled of mildew and smoke. The rooms also smelled, and the accomidations were just trashy. I have never been so dissapointed in all my life. The shows on the television the only thing they show are the circus circus clowns. I wanted to puke. The elevators in the garage are slow and have graphitti everywhere. The website is very misleading. The bad thing about all of this is that I made reservations for my immediate family and other family members. Needless to say I will never hear the end of this.

PROS: tHE ONLY THING I LIKES WAS THE AMUSEMENT AREA
CONS: EVERYTHING ELSE

Great For The Family

by Katie R. | insider Insider | Rank: 24,342

The hotel is reasonable, and if your coming to Las Vegas with children, this is the place to stay. The midway is full of carnival games upstairs. They also put on free circus shows all throughout the day. The theme park is great too, they have alot of rides and they even have a clown show down here too. It gets really crowded. You need to keep an eye on your kids.
But, they will have a fun time while you are playing in the casino.

Ok for small kids

by Basil Z. | insider Insider | Rank: 15,734

Circus Circus Adventure Dome is great for the small kiddies in your family. If they are over 10 though, they won't be very impressed. It is a nice place to walk through though especially if it is really really hot outside. At least they have AC.

by Jamie V. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 3,958

Vegas doesnt offer much for kids but Circus Circus has just what the kids need. I live here and my kids just love this place they enjoy the rides and it always seems to be an all day full of fun for my kids. after spending the day here they come home and tell me all about it. how many times they rode this or that ride and who got wet on the log ride. for an all day full of fun it is well worth the price.

Buffet

by Joshua K. | insider Insider | Rank: 29,108

This buffet isn't what I would expect it to be, although I think it's better then the Rio's, the food here is just bad. The service is even worse. The price isn't crazy high, but it isn't that cheap either. But if you have kids and just want to get something in their stomach by all means go for it. But there is a Mcdonalds up stairs in the Midway.

PROS: Maybe the Price.
CONS: Service, and Food

WONDERFUL PLACE FOR ADULTS & CHILDREN

by CINDY R. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 425

I LIVE HERE IN LAS VEGAS AND I SWEAR THAT THE CIRCUS CIRCUS IS THE BEST PLACE IN TOWN TO TAKE YOUR CHILDREN FOR UN-ENDING ENTERTAINMENT.
FOR ADULTS THERE IS THE USUAL GAMBLING, PLENTY OF BARS, LOTS OF CARD TABLES, TON;S OF SLOT MACHINES, FOOD & THE WHOLE SCENE FOR ADULTS TO "PLAY"..BUT FOR THE CHILDREN..W-O-W- WHAT A PLACE!! MY GRANDDAUGHTER COMES TO VISIT ME FROM OREGON ALOT..SHE IS 13 NOW..AND THE ONLY PLACE THAT SHE WANTS TO GO IS THE CIRCUS CIRCUS. SHE IS SO ENTERTAINED..AND WHY NOT..SHE RIDES ON THE RIDES..PLAYS ALL THE GAMES..HAS HER PICTURE TAKEN..SHE SPENDS HOURS IN THERE DAY AFTER DAY AND SHE STILL ISN'T ABLE TO DO ALL OF THE FUN THINGS THAT ARE AVAILABLE AS THE PLACE IS HUGE!! I GET LOST EVERYTIME THAT I TAKE HER THERE. IF YOUR CHILD IS OLD ENOUGH TO BE LEFT WITHOUT AN ADULT THEN THE ADULTS CAN GO DOWNSTAIRS & ENJOY "THE ADULT PLAYGROUND", AS THERE IS PLENTY OF SECURITY PEOPLE WATCHING THE ACTIVITY IN FUN DOME. THIS CASINO IS TRUELY A GREAT FAMILY PLACE AS THERE IS SOMETHING FUN FOR ALL AGES. TWO THUMBS UP!!

PROS: WONDERFUL FAMILY PLACE..SOMETHING FOR ALL AGES
CONS: NONE

Help! Get Me Outta Here!

by June D. | insider_guru Insider Guru | Rank: 448

Unless you have small children and nothing else left to do in Las Vegas with them, do not go here. The lobby is like a rave, and you might get carried off by the crowd.

I guess Circus Circus had an original idea, with people flying through the air and a circus atmosphere, but being that the Las Vegas Strip is not a family resort destination (even though there was an attempt a few years ago to tout it as one), don't go there if you are an adult without children on the trip.

There are some good restaurants inside, so if you are brave enough and want to go through the gauntlet, give it a try. Just don't tell anyone I sent you.

PROS: some good restaurants, fun for kids
CONS: not fun for adults

The water ride will get you drenched; and the double corkscrew double loop rollercoaster will flip your innerds. Fun Fun Fun!!!

Excellant Theme Park For Children

by Sharon M. | insider_expert Insider Expert | Rank: 4,992

If you like Las Vegas and you like to gamble but don't know what to do with the children.....this casino is for you. There is lots of entertainment for the kids. They have free circus acts going on at all times to amuse everyone. The children's area is seperated from the adult casino area. It is a full up stair level of the casino. There are rides for the younger children and rides for the teens and rides for the ones in between. There is even a few rides that the adults enjoy. It is circus time and there are games to play for prizes. Throw the balls, pop the balloons, win the races, etc.. When everyone gets hungrey, there is plenty of food. Everyone will have a good time.
