I went in the OB/GYN to see my regular Dr. Torres (who I mostly love!), he wasn't there that day and I ended up having to see Connie Knapp.

Went in on time, signed new paperwork for 30 min, waited another 30 at least to be seen. Connie's nurse was fairly kind, was gossiping to her fellow nurse while they both had patients but they did their job (at least include the humans around you in on the fun) Waited another 10-15 minutes to see... Connie.

What a horrible bedside manner. I also felt that she never took the time to see my records. I've been going there since I was 14 so Dr. Torres can read my chart and remember. I told her what my symptoms were (itchy, white discharge during urination, after being on several antibiotics-amoxiccilian) and I told her I was worried that it was related to a previous surgery I had with Dr. Torres. Never realized what a simple diagnosis this was until months later.

She asked me all about my medical history and my mother's and the rest of the family, which the chart also explains, I don't know every detail but we came in after my great-aunt had cervical cancer and after my mom had surgery for pre-cancer cells (which happened when I was about 10-15 years old). She expressed that it was a shame that I didn't know more details. Brought her nurse in, who now became the villain's minion. They told me they were performing a simple pap smear to make sure it came back normal. That was all. Dr. Torres used to help my pain from the pap smears by doing the test quickly and was soft. Connie just went right on in there and stabbed and prodded for 10 minutes... VERY PAINFUL.

I left without feeling satisfied and still in discomfort. And stayed that way until this month.

The nurse and Connie Knapp ended up stated in the claims that I had asked for STD testings (ALL THE STD testings!) on top of the Pap Smear. I am STILL dealing with insurance claims.

In conclusion:
Connie has terrible bedside manners and possibly $$$ in her eyes.
AVOID CONNIE KNAPP.

This has to be the absolute WORST obgyn in Henderson. I moved out here from Summerlin and my ob told me about this office at the recommendation of another one of her patients. I scheduled an appointment in my 4th month of pregnancy which was May 2012. The absolute soonest they could get me in was August which put me at 7 months. So I went to the appointment to see Dr. Rebecca Tyre and first off the office staff was horrible. They were unfriendly, did not answer any of my questions as far as my insurance was concerned and had an attitude the entire time. I went back to see the doctor and she rushed through everything, didn't answer any of my questions, and couldn't be bothered to even read the medical records before meeting me. Then I was to schedule another appointment that the doctor said would be for 2 weeks later, they couldn't get me in for another month! In September I was headed to my second appointment when my husband was hit by a car. I had to turn around to head to the hospital he was being taken to and I called the office on the way to explain the situation and possibly reschedule something before my due date on October 24th and they told me they wouldn't reschedule because I didn't give them 24 hours notice!! If I had a crystal ball then by all means I'd have been more than happy to notify them the day before that my husband was going to end up in the hospital but unfortunately I don't possess that ability. So they dismissed me from the practice because I had to respond to an emergency situation. All in all Rebecca Tyre is impersonal, detached and rushed and the office staff is horrible and you won't be able to get an appointment until the absolute last minute of anything.

Dr torres was my doctor for my first pregnancy although he did not deliver my baby I was pleased with him and he is my doctor for my second pregnancy and recommend him. The only thing that wasn't so great is that the wait for appointments can be long sometimes but that's cause they are very good and have a lot of patients.

Although I had been lax in seeking gynecology care I first saw Ms Connie Knapp. She was extremely professional, asked excellent questions and suspected a problem. She instantly reccommendedd an ultrasound procedure which was scheduled and her concerns validated. She scheduled an apt. for me with Dr. Charles Fleisher. Words do not justify the excellent care I received. He saved my life. If anyone is seeking a compassionate, highly skilled and talented group these two would meet and surpass that goal.

I am confident that Dr. Torres is a wonderful doctor, however I was not fortunate enough to make his aquaintance. A co-worker referred him to me, but because I was in so much pain, I agreed to see Connie Knapp. My number one mistake. I spent more than 30 minutes scrupulously filling out my intake paperwork because I was experiencing medical issues which had been causing me tremendous pain and thought that by being thorough, I could eliminate the unnecessary babble...silly me, I thought medical professionals actually read charts. Ms. Knapp's demeanor was rather cold, detached and unpersonable. Bedside manner left even less to be desired. Although I personally witnessed the staff perform a particular standard test, they vehemently denied it was ever performed. Number one mistake. I disrobed and Ms. Knapp began her exam. We discussed my concerns, all of which had been meticulously detailed in my intake paperwork, and Ms. Knapp had not taken a single moment prior to or during the consult to review my file before asking me questions that had already been outlined. Number two mistake. I specifically expressed that I had been experiencing localized pain on the right side of my ovary, as well as other areas of my abdomen. Rather than administer a gentle touch to the affected area, Ms. Knapp proceeded to apply abrupt, forceful and extreme pressure causing excrutiating pain without remorse. There were no apologies, comments nor did she demonstrate and ounce of concern. Number three mistake. I told her that I was having difficult BMs, and that I had been taking stool softeners to ease the process. She launched into an absurd diatribe about the difference between laxatives and stool softeners as though I were a complete moron. I don't appreciate being spoken down to. Mistake number four. Ms. Knapp proceeded to prescribe me an antibiotic. I asked for a broad-spectrum antibiotic since no lab results were conducted yet, and I had expressed that I had been feverish over the past few days. The only thing she did right was write the script, but made me sit on it for a day until the blood test came back. Ms. Knapp ordered a transvaginal ultrasound, a lower abdominal ultrasound, and I specifically asked for an upper abdominal ultrasound in case my ovaries weren't the cause of my pain. She was all for it until I told her that I was a "cash paying" client. Her whole demeanor changed when I told her this, and then I was treated like a red headed step child. Mistake number five. I wonder if it had ever occurred to Ms. Knapp that perhaps money wasn't an issue? The next morning, I went down to have my ultrasounds conducted and found that the upper abdominal ultrasound had been cancelled by Ms. Knapp. Thank you ever so much. It's not like you were going to foot the bill. Mistake number six. More than two weeks have passed since my ultrasounds were conducted, and neither Ms. Knapp nor her staff have taken the initiative or exercised the common courtesy to call me and deliver the specific results. I deserve this much, after all, I am a "cash paying" client, you were paid, and GV OBGYN is listed as the facility that will be receiving my results. Mistake number seven. I have continued to experience intermittent pain throughout my abdomen and lower right side since my visit. I did get a little card that said my pap smear was good. The card was glued shut and stapled...had to rip the thing open and try to decipher what it said by attempting to separate the glue from the wording. Blood tests concluded a an elevated white blood cell count...Infection? Inflammatory condition? Diverticulitis? The world may never know. Had the abdominal ultrasound not been cancelled, I'd be one step closer to the source. The purpose of my specific request was to either identify or rule out other causes for my pain which could be shared with other professionals specializing in other areas of medicine if need be. I understand that most people don't know what to ask for or are as in touch with their bodies as others. On many occasions PAs (in every medical field) really need to give people the benefit of the doubt and LISTEN to their patients. Assuming they know better just because they've examined 500 quadrillion [pinky to mouth] vaginas doesn't make them an expert. The six million dollar question is, where are those results? They have been complete since August 25, 2010. It appears as though because I didn't utilize one of the facilities you recommended, the nonchalant approach you seem to be taking with regard to my test results stem from a lack of monetary kick back.

Dr. toress is the best. He has always made me feel comfortable and stress free. I suffered 3 miscarriages and was ready to give up but he encouraged us not to give up so soon...and now I have a healthy, wonderful, amazing little 9 month old daughter...

I had my only child, a daughter, back in 2000. I was referred to Dr. Tyre by my Obgyn who was moving out of state, while I was pregnant. Everything seemed to go okay, (I mean you really don't know whats going on when your pregnant for the first time), until the aftercare began. I started to show signs of severe post-partum depression soon after my daughter was born. I couldn't stop crying, had no will to even get out of bed and kept having horrible dreams about my baby. I called Dr. Tyre in complete desperation and was told by her office staff she was too busy with patients and that I would have to make an appointment if I wanted to talk to her. I explained what was going on and told them I needed to see her ASAP. The SOONEST appointment they would give me was for 4 weeks later! They said one of the doctors was on vacation and they couldn't fit me in, no matter what. Then the nurse proceeded to laugh at me and tell me to just get over it, I probably just "needed more sleep"! This was before the time when Post Partum depression was widely heard of. Dr. Tyre's office made me feel like I was nuts and a horrible mother and person. Luckily, I told my daughters pediatrician during an appointment the next day what I was going through, and he IMMEDIATELY took care of me. Within days of him prescribing some medications for me for depression, and some hormone tests, I was back to being my happy self, completely enjoying my role as a new mom. (I have to say that my mom currently sees Connie Knapp and has nothing bad to say about her.) I, however, can't stand to think back on what could have happened when my pleas for help were completely ignored by Dr. Tyre and her staff.

They were the absolute worst! I felt like balling when I left my appointment with Dr. Becky Gonzales. She was not caring, they didn't check my iron or urine for an annual exam AND she had the trash can right beside the place where you sit and lay down! I will never go back there EVER!

Oooooopppsss!! I used a friend's computer, now it has his picture! It's not his comment, but mine & mine alone! LOL

I used to work for this practice a few years ago. From reading the comments I had to come on & comment myself. It sounds like nothing has changed. Dr. Fleisher was the ONLY one who seemed to care about any of his patients, as well as his staff. Dr. Tyre always was (and still is apparently) rude, careless, inconsiderate & had no patience.....both with her staff & patients. Always rush, rush, rush with her. Maybe if she had ever been on time, that might have helped her & her patients! I would time her & you were lucky if you had more than 5 minutes with her! I mean pregnant or not! I couldn't figure out why the staff had such a huge turnover, but after being there about a month, I saw why. I actually had 2 days of training & then the girl I was hired to help, left with no notice, never coming back! Dr. Torres (owner and now a co-owner of the entire practice) was always rushed as well. Too many patients, not enough time in the day. It is all about the money to them, not the quality of care to the patients. I'm actually surprised to see ANY positive feedback on them. Dr. Fleisher was the ONLY one to never play favorites with the staff, took the time to talk to you, to explain things to you.....& I'm referring to anything in general conversation (ie: lunch break, break room, getting coffee, etc). I can't even begin to tell you how unprofessional they were regarding their patients!! The staff hears all sorts of things about the patients, their lives, their diseases, their comments, their questions......the list goes on & on!!! I'm thankful I left when I did, never to look back!! In fact, I've never even listed them on future job searches, for fear they'll lie about me never even having worked there! I really feel sorry for ANY of you who bother with these doctors......other than Dr. Fleisher of course! Glad to know he's still there (although, if I'm not mistaken, he is the other co-owner). Good luck to any of you who choose to be there! I said goodbye & good riddens!
Want a good OB/GYN doctor?? I recommend Dr. Timothy Sauter, located on Eastern Ave, just north of Wigwam Pkwy. He found my endometriosis when no other doctor could, not even a female doctor after 2 years!!! 2 years of pain & hell I went through & in 1 visit, we talked about it, he watched me closely & had me chart my symptoms for a couple months, then we went in for surgery & voil, all better & no more pain!! That was in February 1999. I begand seeing him in 1998 & would still see him if I didn't leave Nevada. If I ever go back, I'll be calling him up!! There might be a wait to get in to see him, but that's because he has a lot of patients, but he's NEVER overbooked!! Takes the time to listen, to talk to you, to ask you questions, I can't say enough good! My husband is fixed, so I never did see him for a pregnancy, just my yearly pap & like I said, it started with my endometriosis. :) Here's the address, phone number & website too........

:) Here's the address, phone number & website too........

i had an appointment with Connie Knapp for a annual exam. i showed up 30 min before my appointment so i could fill out the paper work. apparently showing up early is worthless because i had to wait for an hour after my appointment time and watched many women come in say they are late and go right in. also i asked ms knapp for a blood test which she acted put out i that i would request. my blood was taken but i NEVER got the results, this was a year ago. now im trying to get one extra refill on a rx, which has been no problem at other drs, but i am getting the run around. i have called several times and has the pharmacist fax the office. her nurse told me they were faxing over the rx but they didnt. i had to call several times just to get a hold of her. very frustrated with this office overall.

If you want a C-section instead of natural child birth, Dr. Tyre is your girl! She seems to love to operate and schedule things rather than let nature take its course. During my C-section, she discussed my husband and myself with the nurses present in the operating room as if we were not there; talking about how we had wanted a natural childbirth (which I had with my daughter, without complication) and how ridiculous she thought we were being. If I had not been splayed open, and totally at her mercy at the time, I would have objected strenuously. My husband, who was sitting by my head, looked at me as if to say, "am I really hearing this?" But of course, at the time, we felt completely powerless and chose to focus on the birth of our son rather than our doctor's inappropriate mouth. She is very abrupt and scared the heck out of my 15 year old daughter, who was completely turned-off from ever going to a GYN for a yearly exam.

My first appointment ever to get my annual pap smear, I was SUPPOSE to see Dr. Tyre who I was referred to because she was suppose to be good. But there was an emergency and I was forced to have Connie Knapp instead. The first time she made is very comforting and didn't rush me because I had mentioned it was my first time. The SECOND time I went she didn't care to look at the chart to notice I am STILL new at this. She was in and out in a period of just a few minutes. When I got home I felt pain in my lower right abdomen where she scraped some cells during the pap smear. Then, I went to the restroom to find I was spotting (this being a week after my period had ended). Online it said that it was because she scraped too hard but if pain persisted to make an appointment. And here I am, 3 months later in great pain in only the area she had "scratched" me....having to make an appointment to see a DOCTOR for something she probably caused. So if you don't mind being hurt or rushed in the process of a simple pap, then be my guest.

This was the first and last time I will ever have an APN give me a check up. Ms. Knapp did not even bother to read the chart or the reasons I was there. Totally disregarded me as I was talking to her and did not even check my breasts during a pap smear (which is mandatory). Painful biopsy, felt like she didn't know what she was doing. They seemed to be more concerned about spreading out different appointments to get cultures, results and follow ups (more $$$ in their pocket) than treating me. Worst experience EVER!!! They referred me to an Endocrinologists who is next door to them and is on maternity leave. I called back to get another referral and they said that she was the only one on their list.

Dr. Fleicher, is my doctor and I am pregnant with my second baby that he will deliver. I wont choose anyone else as my OBGYN. He listens to all my questions during my appointments and then answers each and every one, he never rushes me out of the office. The only drawback to this office is the wait times on the phones and for appointments but I'm used to it, Ive pretty much waited at every doctors office. They have a nice staff that have never gave me problems. It surprises me that anyone has anything bad to say about my Doctor or this office (except for wait times) I have never had problems with my insurance. Overall... I would never pick any other doctor to deliver any of my babies.

I have NEVER waited that long for an appointment before! When you finally get in and examined by the doctors, they are so rushed, its feels like you have no personal time was given to you. They just want to get you in and out b/c they know there is many other patients waiting.

Green Valley OB/GYN's staff makes Dr. Torres look GREAT! They are helpful and informative. They take their time to check out each and everyone one of us. What will always stand out in my mind is that Dr. Torres took the time to for my mother to hear our daughter's heart beat the first time. Out of precautions Dr. T and his staff took all the extra steps to make sure we have a healthy little girl. The day of our delivery was a baby boom, and Dr. T was on his NINTH delivery when our daughter was born. SHOULD we decide to have another one, the wait is worth it, the nurses take their time with each patient and I'm greatful for each one of them!

never go there. it is a waste of time showed up for my scheduled appt, had to wait 1 to 1 1/2 hrs. to be seen. people who schedule you appts don't know what they are doing. they are very rude if you start asking what is going on. not worth it.

I have been with this group for over 3 years and have had two children with Dr. Tyre as my Dr. She is wonderful! She seemed a little cautious with my first child, but I grew to understand that she was just looking out for the baby and me. When I developed an infection with the first she was truly concerned and very attentive and right there to make sure everything was taken care of. She was also very cautious with my second delivery so that the same thing wouldn't happen again. When I had concerns, she made sure that she answered all my questions until I was comfortable. The staff there is very friendly and helpful. The only drawback is the wait time on the phone and in the office, but you can expect that with a busy OB/GYN group. Dr. Fleischer is very good, too. I highly recommend these people.

Well, He delivered my daughter and was very kind to me. He also tied my tubes (against his better judgment)which I wish today I had listened to him and not done that. I would give him very good rating. But my niece also went to him and wasn't as happy with him as I was. I didn't understand why. Maybe their are just certain personality conflicts with others that I did not fortunately have with him. I liked him.

Expect to wait over an hour to see your doctor if you have an appointment.

If you are even a couple minutes late to just check in for your appointment, they may refuse to see you and charge you a missed appointment fee!

Office staff kept asking "when I was due" even after I miscarried the baby.

You are treated like damaged goods if you have ever had or have an STD. Physican's Assistant told me with an STD, I'd be lucky to find a man to want to be with me. Nice.

Where do I start? First, Dr. Torres took me reluctantly as a patient during the malpractice crisis of 2002 which he let me know when he told me the first time I met him "that he was just doing this as a favor to my dad." He had a horrible bedside manner throughout but I had heard he was good so I ignored it (and no other doctors would take patients at that time).

He allowed me to go ten days past my due date even though the baby measured 8 1/2 lbs. through ultrasound at 40 weeks. When I showed up for my scheduled induction at the hospital they had no idea who I was or that I was even supposed to be there (typical for Dr. Torres). I checked in at 7:00 pm and didn't see a doctor once for the next 22 hours. When the nurse called him to say I would need a c-section he chose not to come to the hospital. As a result of him not coming the baby and I both nearly died. When the nurse called him to see where the hell he was he responded with "Oh, so she really does need a c-section?" By the time he arrived it turned into an emergency c-section and he litterally ripped my daughter out in 60 seconds. As a reult I hemmorraged severely and it took nearly 3 hours to sew me back up. Now, five years later I am unable to conceive any more children as a result of his indifference and horrible lack of care. My fallopian tubes are covered in scar tissue because of him. He ruined what was supposed to be an amazing experience. The loss of blood I suffered took 2 months to recover.

Please don't go to him. He truly is the worst doctor I have ever encountered and I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.

I had to be seen by Dr. Tyer for an ovarian cysts that got to be 3inches big. I was in allot of pain, so they decided to do surgery. I was on a month waiting list for the surgery. Since i was in allot of pain my husband called and demanded that they try to do it sooner. They were able to work with me and i got the surgery done within the next week. Dr. Tyer is a nice lady seems a little shy and not very talkative. But the nurses and the front staff are the nicest ladies ever. I went to a different OBGYN in the valley and the staff there were so rude and seemed like they could care less, so i went back to Green Valley OBGYN. I am pregnant now and this is my first time, so far whenever i have a question about something I'm not sure about the nurses office is there to help me, and they are very informative and understanding.

My wife has been going to see Dr. Tyre for the past 7 years and has worked closely with both Dr. Tyre and Sylvia. They are both very kind and gentle. I am an emergency room charge nurse in Vegas and both of these qualities go along way when people ask who they should go see when they need an ob/gyn nurse.

At 14 weeks pregnant they told me I needed an ultrasound (which is way too early, this my second child). We (my husband and I) paid then and there, being that we were cash patients. Then after only 1 more appointment, they said they needed anthor ultrasound. So they told us it would be an amount , so we came to our appointment with that amount, and they wanted to charge us almost double the amount that they had told us! We obviously didn't have that, so we left. We called to talk to a supervisor and found out our doctor 'released us from care', saying that we refused treatment. Which was not the case. We just didn't have the money because they had lied to us, on the amount.

So now I'm 23 weeks pregnant with no doctor. Dr. Fleisher dropped us for asking too many questions about our money, bottom line.

Please, I don't want anyone to have to go through what I went through. Save yourselves form this practice. Their are far better ones out there.

I have been with this group since I was 16 years old. Dr. Torres has delivered both of my sons. Now he will be delivering my 3rd child. I love Dr. Torres. He is a very kind nice man- highly recommended. I'm not to crazy about Connie- but she is also very informative. The wait time is not that good- but they are well worth the wait. The nurses are friendly and supportive- they get to know you by a first name basis towards the end of your pregnancy. The ultrasound tech is also a sweet heart- very good at her job and very positive.

I was originally a patient of Dr. Guy Torres and he took great care of me during my pregnancy and my c-section aftercare. Since my pregnancy I have seen Connie Knapp, APN and she too has been absolutely great. There is a bit of a wait time during the afternoon, but usually pretty quick in the early morning hours. The facility is very clean and the staff always makes me feel very comfortable. I have referred at least 5 other women to this facility for their prenatal care and after care, they have each been just as satisfied as I have been. I cannot say enough great things!

PROS: Dr. Guy Torres and Connie Knapp, APN

I have been using Green Valley OB/GYN for about two years and in that time I have had two children. Every doctor and nurse practitioner that I saw was very informational and friendly. The office staff is helpful and quite nice. I would reccomend this office to anyone looking for an OB/GYN. The only negative I would say would be the wait times on the phone.

I've actually followed my regular practitioner, Connie Knapp, PA-C from her old practice to this one. She seems happy there, and I am most comfortable seeing someone I have a history with. I highly recommend Connie, and other than that, the practice appears very competent. The offices are nice, and scheduling has never been a problem. I also hear good things about Dr. Torres, one of the physicians in the practice.
