Westbury does not have a bad seat but, they served alcohol during the show. People were running for drinks, in between songs. As a result, there were lots of drunks talking loud and yelling out during the show. My son and his friend were watching the drunks, instead of the band. The sound was horrible, on my side of the theatre, as well. I won't be going back soon. Beware.

This is actually renamed The North Fork Theater, but most people still know and love it as The Westbury Music Fair. This intimate theater is the round, is one of the great places on Long Island to see a show. The prices are fairly reasonable, the shows of high caliber and the acosutics are really good. You can see such diverse performers as Tony Bennett, Roberta Flack, old sixties and seventies bands, and great kids shows. The parking is a little hairy, so be patient and arrive early.

You all sit in a circle surround the stage and boy does it give you a different prespective of acting and the story your seeing. You will see different kinds of shows because it is in the round. Some seats are not great because the stage blocks a good view.

Westbury Music Fair is host to all sorts of events. I have attended several plays and concerts there. The theatre is in the round, which means that the stage is in the center, and the audience is all around it. It makes for interesting theatrical productions. I saw ANNIE there, and it was great. I also saw Richard Marx in concert, and it was awesome. The stage turned into a revolving stage, which was really cool.

It's a pretty small venue, in comparison to the other giants around. (Namely Jones Beach and the Nassau Colleseum.) The shows are great, there is plenty of parking, and it's a great atmosphere.

PROS: cozy, theatre in the round, different types of productions
CONS: might be too small for some people, some seats not good because of stage

I have seen a few concerts at the Westbury Music Fair over the last few years, and it is a really nice place for a concert. The theatre is round, so there is no such thing as a bad seat - you can see from every angle. The sound is good, and the staff is courteous and professional. Prices are generally high, but that is tied more to the performer than the venue. Refreshments are expensive but adequate.
