Recently, we surrendered my puppy to an rescue group for the better. We went to go foster a dog after we saw her for Three days. She was gentle, well mannered and we had a bond like no other. I could whisper sit and she did. She walked

Whenever I decide to bring a new pet into our home I always adopt from a shelter. The staff at PAWS are very friendly and helpful. The animals are well cared for and before they are adopted they are given medical care. This organization is doing great work. If you are looking for a new pet please adopt from PAWS!! If you can't adopt, please donate!! I do!

I adopted my pup from PAWS 8 years ago and my little guy, actually all 45 pounds of him, is very healthy and happy to this day. He needed a good bath, and was very shy, but healthy. Even if he had not of been, I was prepared to meet his needs ... that's what taking in the unwanted is all about. I will be forever grateful to PAWS for giving me such joy for the past 8 years and for many more to come. I will adopt again from PAWS!

I love the dog i adopted from paws. Their staff was friendly and eager to find a home for her!My problem with this is that they flat out lied to me! I explained to them that it was important my pet be a certain weight because the apartments I live in have a limit. They said she was around 15lbs. At that time i was just asking the basic questions to see if the adoption was even possible. I called back asked them to weigh her, again, they said she was 15lbs. I drove to Kyle from Austin, did the paper work, paid, and the brought her out to me. She Is a small framed dog but i was sceptical so asked for a 3rd time and received the same answer. When you adopt, you receive a free vet wellness checkup, nice touch. I took my dog to the vet, South branch pet and bird, they weighed her .. 30lbs!! She didn't eat that much in 2 days!! They were terrible by the way!! Don't take your pet there if you have any sort of questions you may need answers for! She has Kennel cough. I asked what to do about it.. Crickets. I explained that she has a problem with leaking urine and he said it Could be caused by the walls of her Virgina. I asked if her was sure he replied with no. I asked if it could be any thing else he said yeah, it could be a bacteria infection. I asked if he was sure he said no. NO HELP at all! They sold me a pet who they knew was sick.. didnt let me know, Lied about the weight 3 times! and they said she was potty trained!! She has a medical condition were she cant hold her urine. Shes not potty trained!! DOnt adopt from paws. Corrupt organization! Please choose another place to adopt!

PROS: Beautiful loving animal
CONS: twisted corrupt people
