Alexandra Demetro was my midwife/is my pediatrician and I think she's amazing! Her presence made everything at our daughter's home water birth feel so calm and laid back which I appreciate because some midwives make it feel stressful which you really don't need. She is very comfortable with using herbs and supplements during pregnancy and knows what's safe and what isn't. I also liked the fact that she was very accommodating with doing homevisits for prenatals and postpartums, so we didn't have to leave our house for the 24 hour, 3 day, and 1 week checkups after our daughter was born. Although, she does have two nice office spaces which we visited for some prenatals. She's extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She even took care of my husband during a prenatal homevisit when he had a health concern come up. She is covered under some insurance policies, so that's worth checking out. Overall, she is an amazing provider for your birth or for primary care for you and your family!
Alexandra Demetro helped welcome our 3rd baby into the world, born peacefully at home in the water. She is an amazingly sweet person, awesome midwife and great naturopathic doctor-- so empowering, gentle, and suportive. Just what you need if you want to peacefully birth your baby on your own terms. She treats babies, pregnant mamas, and the whole family. We just love her!
