I was a patient of Dr. A. Monroy's. I would like to strongly say that I agree with the review from "THE WORST" He may have been a good doctor at one time, or even a good fellow, BUT, he left all his patients hanging. It makes it very hard for me and his patients to locate our lost records especially when we all have to go see a new doctor without absolutely nothing to go by,...except our word!. I doubt we will ever see our records again. Regardless of his troubled life, we all put our trust into these doctors' who are suppose to keep up their professional responsibility. There is a lot of talk about his arrest, pill popping, drug use etc. Everyone has their issues, he just got caught.! he left me and others in desperate need of medications. My situation is a very serious matter, and his irresponsibility made me worse off than ever. How can he play with people's lives? makes me wonder about his diluted mind. It is simple, if you have a problem,it is only right to hand over your patients records to another doctor who is capable of taking over, but he made a bad name for himself, and has left a lot of people doubting the medical profession.

Doctor Monroy was an amazing patient doctor, he would work out what needed to be done WITH you not AT you, he would never change a treatment without notification, he never forced anything on you that you werent comfortable with, while other doctors those all seem to be all they are capable of (Mistreating you, belittleing, speaking AT you not to you, telling you how you feel while never reading your paperwork or intake papers)

Doctor Monroy may be having troubles right now in his life but that doesnt make him any less of a doctor, he is great and once he is back on his feet i would LOVE to see him practicing again, im tired of being yelled at by doctors and even physical trainers (while im doing the excersizes, simply cause im crying in pain - im being yelled at for it)

Someone has to be the worst; and it turns out to be him. He really does seem to be a nice enough fellow, but that does not make a doctor. Missing appointments, overbooking, faulty script writing, all point to a total lack of responsibility, or caring for his patients. Currently, he has left all his patients to deal with a horrific situation! He is nowhere to be found, his office has been closed (there's a note from the landlord about back rent), and he's left a legion of addicted patients (no fault of these patients; just following "Dr's" orders)sick, hurting, and confused, as they have no access to their records. I am all for "second chances", but when you've taken on the responsibility for the well caring for hundreds of people, and then just "disappear", well, this is unforgivable. Whether arrested, sick, or "burned out", he could have instructed someone, anyone, to at least post instructions on his office door, or a tape on his answering machine, as to where to go, and how to obtain, your medical records. This lack of concern cannot go unpunished.

Andrew Monroy is the best pain specialist I have found anywhere. I have been to many "pain specialist" doctors and all others fail in pain management in comparison to Dr. Monroy. As a doctor who has had severe pain himself he always takes the time needed to discover the root cause of your pain, and works out a plan with you, not at you. He never makes a change in treatment that he does not talk with you fully.
