Dr. Brown is militant when it comes to vaccines. Vaccines cause side effects and not all shots are necessary for all kids but Dr. Brown makes you feel like a bad parent if you even question a shot. It's too bad. She has a nice bedside manner otherwise. Doctors and parents should be partners not doctors acting like dictators. With all the new shots coming out, it might be better to find a pediatrician who will at least respect your right to say not to a shot in Texas. I have an exemption for my child granted by Texas law but you won't find support for your right as a parent with this doctor.

the only doctor i care to speak about is dr hughes...he is kind and treats your children with care and ease...other than that capital pediatrics is a busy, rushed, over booked office with other doctors that seem they went accross the boarder for a degree! what a mess...sorry dr hughes...we're leaving!!!

My 6 1/2 year old twins have been patients of Dr. Ari Brown and Capital Pediatrics since birth and have always received excellent care. We have used both locations, multiple doctors, called after hours for consultation, received shots, received referrals, consulted on speech, potty training, weight and other issues and been treated for numerous rashes and ailments - -all with excellent care. All pediatric offices are busy and while it is unfortunate that an occasional mistake is made, I'm confident that steps are underway to better the process and I applaud the office for acknowleging the error and notifying the patient despite the expectation of negative fall out. I will continue to take my children there knowing that I can expect expert advice and care.

would think before every going to this facility with your children. Dr. Ari Brown and her 'attentative' staff gave my baby a wrong immunization. The nurse had come into the room with 2 different patient's injections in her hands (real attention to detail) and accidentally got my child's mixed up with another child. We got the bigger dosage of an immunization that I had REFUSED because it was so new at the time. The thing is, they didn't notice it until we had already left and they called us a few days later. They need to quit rushing around all the time...it's not an assembly line.

It sickens me to hear that she's writing books about child care, and giving out advice. Perhaps she would do the world a better service if she stayed out of the lime light and concentrated on her PRACTICE and training her people!!! Some child could be put at risk...Do not go here!

We saw Dr. Treybig when my daughter was a baby and weren't impressed with her. She seemed like she was in a rush throughout the whole appointment and didn't give any time to ask questions. It was time for one of my daughter's vaccinations, but she had a cold and Dr. Treybig got very upset when I told her that I'd bring her back another day for her vaccination. She started pressuring us to "Just do it." at that visit. We switched doctors shortly after that because she wasn't open to what parents want or think.

If you have babies, you definitely want Capital Pediatric Group to take care of your baby's health. Capital Pediatric Group is always able to fit my kids in the same day for a sick visit. I don't think I've ever called and been told that they couldn't be fit in. Also Capital Pediatric Group is always just a phone call away. They are open Saturdays and will open on sundays for any sick visits that can't wait til Monday. Through the care of Capital Pediatric Group, I have avoided any emergency care visits. They have a great selection of skilled pediatricians and have 2 great locations to choose from.

PROS: 2 locations to choose from, selection of pediatricians, avail 7 days a week
CONS:
