Worst dentist ever is an understatement. I went in for a routine checkup. Dr. Arias was very rushed and extremely rude to his staff. He recommended a root canal which I scheduled for another day. The pain after the procedure was extreme. My temp crown fell out twice. The permanent crown fell out after 6 months. I then went to another dentist to have it replaced. That dentist said the post was too small that was placed by Dr. Arias. 4 months later the root canal became infected and I felt the worst pain I had ever encountered and I had cancer once. I had to go to an endodontist to have an apicoectomy to correct it. Please do not go to this dentist. I tried to get a refund for his shoddy work and he said I could come in for him to correct the work. NO way was I going back to him. He should have his license revoked.

Please avoid this dentist at all costs!
I went to him over 7 years ago and have had major problems with all of the work that he did. First off, he performed root canals on three of my teeth. Within one year, one of the root canals got infected. He told me it was my wisdom teeth, so I went and had those surgically removed. Well, he was wrong. It was the root canal. We found that out because it got infected again. So he redid the root canal. Well, again, less than a year later it got infected. So I had to go to a specialist to have the same root canal redone for a 2nd time!
Thank goodness I moved from Orlando, because I didn't realize at the time how terrible his work was. You really have no idea at the time because he is sooooo friendly and his staff is very nice too, with little waiting time for appointments. But don't be fooled! It's because he cuts corners and does shoddy work! After I left Orlando, I moved and my new dentist (who is also a professor at UF) said that all the work he did was TERRIBLE. Cavities were filled poorly and my crowns left gaps from my teeth and the gum. I just recented had to get one of the other root canals Dr. Arias did redone by a specialist! It kept getting infected and low and behold the endodontist said that it was because the root canal by Dr. Arias was not properly done. My endodontist also said that the metal posts Dr. Arias used in my root canal are not recommended.
I'm telling you, this dentist has made my life miserable! I trusted him too much and he led me to believe that I needed all this work done, when I didn't. I spent a lot of money with Dr. Arias and have had to spend a lot more getting everything he did fixed. I've also gone through A LOT of pain with the four different infections/swelling of my face that I've had from his root canal work.
Please, please, please avoid him and spread the word. I am surprised this guy still has his dental license. Don't be fooled by his charming personality. It is all a front.

Just OK I was not expecting much because of the other poor reviews. Might want to call and talk to the office before you go, make sure you know what you are up against.

I went to this dentist over 10 years ago. I had cavities in my front tooth and lateral tooth because they had twisted in their positions and were back to front to each other. This dentist told me to go ahead and get crowns for all 4 of my front teeth. If I didn't it would just look terrible. I was 21, didn't know better. I went ahead with it. Two of them kept falling out within two weeks.

Last year I had to get root canals on 3 of these teeth. And I have had 3 dentists recoil at the terrible job that Aria did. It's going to take over $3000 to get new crowns on top on the $1000 I already spent on root canals because they were painfully infected. I can't even get them done yet because my gums around these 4 crowns are infected. The crowns never fit correctly, there are gaps in the back of all 4 crowns that let infection in.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS HACK JOB!!!

Horrible dentist -- 13th century dentistry. Painful and overpriced services. His mistakes had to corrected by another dentist, and I am still suffering from them. Cannot be trusted.

The worst Dentist ever! I had 4 crowns replaced in the front 4 teeth. After 3 months they started falling out. Dr. Arias said that I was grinding my teeth and needed a mouth guard. After 2 years one of the pins in my crown broke in my mouth. I had to have the tooth pulled and a bridge put it. My current dentist replaced the other two crowns, and now one year later I am not having any problems with theses crowns, or bridge, And I am still wearing a mouth guard. Current Dentist doesnt feel I really ever needed one. Unfortunately I am now out $5,000 for these crowns/bridge. He also treated his staff horribly, and they were very friendly and helpful.

In April 2010 I was scheduled for an appointment at the office on Colonial Drive. When I went there the doors were locked. I came home and called and someone answewred and said they were not open and she did not have me listed for an appointment. She then scheduled me and my wife for evening appointments and when we went there the office was locked. This dental clinic needs to be closed permanently. They constantly have scheduling problems and trouble keeping the people who do the cleaning of the teeth.

I had a terrible experience with this dentist that is still ongoing. I saw him in 2008 for a painful molar that he suggested I have removed and replaced with a bridge. Once the tooth was removed I had to chase him around 3 of his offices to have all of my work completed. They lost my initial bridge and had to make a new one, this being the reason they never called to set my appt. I called them after a month of no contact to find out if my bridge had come in and they said they could not locate it. All of my work was finally finished 2 MONTHS after my initial visit. Now 1.5 years later my bridge is giving me excruciating pain and after some research I find that it was performed wrong. $3000 down the drain. This is the condensed version of this story. There were other unbelievable details of this story that were left out due to review length. Consumers please be aware.

Had a root canal by Dr. Arias many years ago. Tooth hurt throughout the years. Just had it removed by an oral surgeon who found that Dr. Arias had left THREE files in my tooth...said it was no wonder the tooth never healed! Wish we weren't outside of the statute of limitations for malpractice.

Ok, I really have issues with the dentist. I decided to take my chances on this place since it was privately owned. Well know I'm out $600 and my tooth is still hurting. My front tooth cracked and I decided to get it fixed, and well after I had a cap put on, it started hurting me from day one. Well, I decided to go in and they shaved it down and said I would have no more problems. Well it's been month later and my tooth is still bothering me but unfortunantly there hours are horrible and always beyond packed that I still haven't been able to see them.

PROS: Close by
CONS: Didn't do such great work

We went there with a $45 coupon for our child's first dentist appointment. We wouldn't have dental insurance for a couple more months but wanted her in for a cleaning. After all the preparation the dentist said our daughter had a number of cavities in her baby teeth (one was loose) and he would print out a price list of how much it would cost to fill them- it came to over $600!! They were extremely pressuring and wanted us to get the next appointment set up right away. When we got insurance we went to another dentist- it was so much less than what they quoted.
The office is very nice & I'm sure it's because they overcharge.

I've been to serveral dentist over the years and I have to say this one is one of the best I've been too. If your in pain they'll see you soon as there able and they'll fix you right up. There prices are reasonable and the dentist is great I really had no discomfort and when my crown didn't fit right I cam right back in and they fixed it no problem and no it's perfect. I would recommend this place to everyone I know.

PROS: Fantastic office!
CONS: Wish it was a little bigger
