have seen this doctor for years and which started out great, I even referred several friends and family members to her, however in the last couple of years the quality of her care has gone WAY down. After being sick with symptoms such as muscle weakness, fatigue, weight gain, etc for a long period of time I had to literally start using the world web to help me figure out what was wrong with me. When I suggested Thyroid testing she insisted she saw no reason for it, well I luckily insisted right back that there was great reason for it due to my symptoms. She disagreed but ordered the tests to appease me, she felt if I just lost weight I would feel all better. Results came back and she had her nurse call me saying I needed to see an Endocrinologist. On my very first visit to the Endocrinologist I was told I had a Goiter, just from him feeling my neck. Further tests were done immediately and within a week I found out I had Thyroid Cancer.
I have not seen Dr. Pestka since she ordered the tests she didnt think I needed. Since I had to diagnose myself, I have no faith in her and I feel she does not deserve my insurance money!!

I visited Dr. Pestka one time and she was so rude to me, I wanted to leave. I was pregnant as well as she and I went in for what I thought was strep. She told it was just a cold and treated me as though I was wasting her time. She didn't ask about my pregnancy and didn't suggest any medications. She told me to tuff it out. I was so disgusted! How can anyone be so insensitive! She was pregnant too! I'm surprised she allowed to practice.
