So I am new to the area...and I looked online for family practices..and saw the link for RAPHA. Wow! Looked so nice and state of the art (based on the website) and was close to home. So I called, and the gal was so sweet---right there on site is a lab, dermatologist and chiropractor (HUGE for me since I am in need of surgery but cannot afford it at this time). She tells me she can get me in ASAP, but I had to go out of town for work and scheduled it for the Monday after I returned. Yeah, I waited almost 3 hours. Uba was in the office for less than 10 minutes and took my prescriptions with him. I was told to wait out in the lobby and after another 15 minutes, I was given scripts and was assured that the only reason my wait was so long was that it was a Monday..they knew I was very frustrated. Scheduled a month follow up as req'd and all but ran out of the office because I was so late for work. Since my other scripts hadnt yet run out, I never paid attention...and after digging them out of my wallet, dropping them off, I was shocked that the cream I thought he wrote a refill for was actually a $60 patch...instead of $3. Didnt even think of the other med, which I took as was prescribed by my former doc for 5-6 days before I realized he wrote it for half the amount. Called...and the gal was so apologetic for the mistake. She said I should have my old doc fax something in that said what he prescribed--even though I told her that Uba had seen the meds. So, of course, I had to be seen. This was less than a week before the scheduled 30 day f/u, so I complied, scheduled a 2nd appointment and then had to reschedule due to a family emergency. The next day, I arrived for my appointment and after a 30+ minute wait in the lobby, paid my copay and went to a room. I had my b/p taken and then sat there...for over 1.5 hrs. At 2 hrs, I walked out and asked a nurse to get someone. At the 2 hr, 35 min mark, I walked out. Never saw a doctor and waited over 2.5 hrs again. When I called to complain, I got his nurse. She was rude and didnt care a bit about my situation. Although I work hard to support my family and pay $500/mo to insure them, I was treated like a steaming pile---and I have been on Medicaid--so I KNOW how it is and feels to be treated like a 2nd class citizen. I have a reason to not afford surgery and made it clear---think ID theft/fraud, spouse's job loss and subsequent foreclosure--not to mention impending bankruptcy due to all the above. SO---what did his nurse have to say? Sorry...he cannot help you. You can come in, but he wont do anything for you. 2 appointments, 5.5 hrs, $40 and saw a 'doctor' once. Was also told by a rude employee that the office ALWAYS tells patients to check the scripts because they may not be the same and that the 'doctors' and/or staff ALWAYS explain this. HA! Nobody--including Uba said a word to me about what he wrote and why. I was simply too frustrated, very late and subsequently too distracted to even notice...until it was too late. I will get my $20 back, but after reading the other comments, maybe I should contact my insurance co since I never saw a doctor, they took my money up front, and since being made aware that the doctor never even saw me, have not refunded my money or even offered to. Tellyawhat...if it looks or sounds too good to be true, then it shonuf is.

The only Dr. I could find listed under RAPHA is Dr. Uba, who I didn't have any appts with. But I'm sure by just reading the reviews, he's just like Dr. Udoh. I couldn't find Dr Benjamin Udoh on this website, but he is one of the Internal Medicine drs at RAPHA and one of the WORST I've EVER been to. As stated in other reviews, no matter if you have an appt, your wait time will be anywhere between 1-1/2 to 2 hours before you go into an exam room to wait 1 to 2 hours to be seen by an incompetent so called DOCTOR that is not interested in what is wrong with you, just that he makes an appearance for less than 5-10 minutes, lets you know that he cannot even read a report from another doctor's office to help with my condition for treatment. The atmosphere of the lobby is less than WELFARE...the stench of urine in the lobby & throughout the exam rooms is nauseating and the staff is horrible. There is no wonder they are being investigated for BILLING FRAUD, as I caught them trying to overbill me AFTER my insurance company had already paid them and sent them the write-offs! Not only that, they tried to say I owed them $75 for an appt for a refill of my prescriptions from 5 years ago!!! I told them good luck in getting it out of my insurance company or me. I will NEVER step foot back into this facility! FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY & SANITY - DO NOT GO TO Rapha Primary Care, because you will not receive Primary Care in no fashion whatsoever!

I think they are a clinic who cares about quality care. Yes u may have to wait but it beats the emergency room, at least they take there time with the patients. I know for a fact the doctor spent at least 20-25 min with me and made me feel like a patient and not for someone just for the money and to get the patient out. As far as the allegations the office manager didn't even work there at the time, so don't believe everything u read. If you want quality care then this is the place to go.

Dr Uba needs to go back to medical school. He didn't even know if BENEDRYL was Class B drug!! What kind of doctor pulls out a book and tells me that since the book didn't have benedryl on the list, he couldn't tell me the weather if it was Class B drug or not?! I am pregnant, I was referred by Tricare to go to this clinic since the clinic on post was full, I waited 2 hours to see Dr Uba for 5 minutes! I was there to get my referral put in for OB clinic, of course 10 days later I don't hear ANYTHING from them and I had to go around to get an appointment with OB clinic on post. Tricare didn't hear anything from Dr Uba's office and when I called to find out about the status of my referral, they transfered my phone call to some Plastic surgery clinic. The 2nd time I went to see Dr Uba, I was sick with URI, he prescribed Phenegan with COEDINE, after I told him that I was ALLERGIC to Phenegan!! So when I asked for him to change my medication, he REFUSED and told me that I couldn't take ANYTHING for my symptoms because I am pregnant.. He wasn't even too sure about Tylenol... He is the WORST doctor I have ever seen in my life, his office staff is horrible, I don't know how they are still open!!!

The truth prevails. Dr.Uba and his company have to answer to the federal government due to filing fraudulent claims. I'm sure he didn't know his incompetent office manager was doing this but he will be the one that pays. I would encourage those that used private insurance to have the company audit his billing practice as well. I knew this would happen one day !!!

I really do not care to much for this place, their is one young lady whom i did not get her name she assisted Dr. Andy on oct.13th i liked both the pa and the asst. If they worked at another practice i would not mind going to them, as far as Benjamin whatever the hell is last name that dr. failed to give me meds i was on before transferring, had blood work cholesterol was high did not give meds for that, ankle has been swollen or 2mos said nothing was wrong with it surgeon says differently, waited over 40 days to get referrals which dr. had no time to wait on and schedule me appts anyway, i waited on my 1st visit vover 4hours that sucks, my sugar was low they had no candy to offer cause i left my pocketbook with my aide, truthfully if you have a death wish then this is your place,

I accidentally stumbled onto this website and after reading the reviews about Dr. Uba and Rapha Primary Care I have to say I agree with all of them. They are rude, uncourtious and uncaring. I come from Texas, born and raised there and I have to say rudeness and uncourteousness is rampant here in Fayetteville. I first moved here in October 2007 and just picked a Primary Care Facility out of the phone book. My bad luck, I had to pick the worst one according to what I've read here and the 3 years that I have been a patient there. The wait time is outrageous when you have an appointment, worse as a walk in. You wait forever to be put into an exam room, there you wait for up to an hour or more, when the doctor finally comes in it's for a couple of minutes then you wait again in the lobby for any prescriptions he may have given you. According to MRI's I have two protruding discs in my cervical spine that are impinging nerves, burs in both my shoulders, ligament tears in both my wrists and knees and arthritis. I am in constant pain and suffer from severe headaches. They did all sorts of tests including a very painful nerve test and supposedly couldn??t tell me why I am in so much pain. Dr. Uba referred me to Fayetteville Orthopaedics, Dr. James E. Johnson. I saw him twice, he referred me to his partner, Dr. Christopher J. Barnes, saw him once, he in turn referred me to Sandhills Physical Medicine and Rehab, Dr. Kirston Phillips. I went there for TWO years, they gave me one shot and stuffed me full of pills. I was taking about 12 pills a day, several of them were different pain killers and I was taking them all at once. I took them for about 6 months. I wound up with high blood pressure, abnormal liver functions, stomach infection and a pain on the right side of my abdomen that never goes away. Dr. Uba put me on antibiotics and blood pressure medicine, more pills to take, and for the pain in my stomach he referred me to Fayetteville Gastroenterology Associates, Dr. Valli Kodali. He did all sorts of tests and exams and still could not tell me what the pain in my abdomen is. I finally decided to hell with the doctors and pills and stopped taking them all. After a couple of months my liver functions are back to normal and so is my blood pressure. My pain and headaches are still the same and now to boot I have this new pain in my abdomen. One time when I asked Dr. Uba what is causing all this pain, he shrugged his shoulders and just stared at me blankly with his smug smile and casually said, that maybe it was Fibromyalgia. To this day I cannot get a straight answer to where my pain is coming from and how do I relieve it without being stupefied on pills that were making things worse. When I asked the doctor at Sandhills Physical Therapy that I needed documentation for my disability case he said Dr. Uba had to give it to me, Dr. Uba said Sandhills had to give it to me, they tossed me back and forth like that. It took over a year and finally Sandhills gave me a short paragraph, stating that I could do light work, no diagnosis no nothing. Of course that led to a denial for my disability benefits. The judge advocate for my disability case had the nerve to say in his denial report that one of the factors was that I did not take my medications; therefore, it was slightly believable that I was in so much pain, even though I explained to him why I stopped taking all the pills. A couple of comments here was that Rapha Primary Care was like a welfare office. I AM on welfare and Medicaid because I can't work due to my pain and I have been treated just as badly as they were not just by Rapha but by everyone they have sent me to. Just because we may have the need to be on these services does not mean that doctors and their staff's should treat us so badly. I honestly have lost all faith in doctors and believe that the medical field is just a conspiracy to keep us on medications that can make things worse so that you keep coming back and they keep getting paid either by the patients or their insurance. Needless to say, I am looking to change to a new primary care doctor. Hopefully I can find one that honestly cares and can help me. If anyone has any good recommendations please email me at marinasalsa@yahoo.com.

I would have to say Dr. Uba is not too bad, but it is the staff. The reason I came to this office was I had a very bad cold and it was the only office I could get into, and I regret it now. It is a horrible environment with HORRIBLE staff. The staff is very poorly educated in the public service and communication area. When I saw the comment about it being like a welfare office, I am almost positive it is. I believe people should have healthcare , but what is the point in working your butt off and PAYING for your insurance and getting such a poor quality service. 3 hour waits for the doctors to see you for 10 minutes. Quite pathetic and so is the horrible front desk people.

I have only been a few times b/c of how long I have to wait...WITH AN APPT!!! Anywhere for 3-5 hrs....I'd be better off going to the ER....And my last appt was to get a pregnancy confirmation and a referral to an OB and sure enough I keep calling and it's not even in my chart.....And I'm sorry but I have to disagree with the person who said Dr. Uba is efficient...That is my doctor and I COMPLETELY disagree....He comes in for about 5 mins to rush me through my appt and rush me out....and then I get to wait for another 30 mins to an hour for a prescription to print up....I have worked in Dr.'s offices and this is by far the worst place I have ever seen.....

The only thing I have to say is rude front desk people. if you like sitting around for 1 or 2 hours before you even get checked in then this is your place! If you like sitting in a back cold room for another 30 or 40 minutes then this is your place! If you like 5 or ten minute doctor visits after waiting for 2 or 3 hours then this is your place!
If you have all the time in the world, like bad customer service and don't need a good diagnosis of why you went there then BY ALL MEANS THIS IS YOUR PLACE! If I could give a zero I would!
I have reported them to tricare

Do not go to the clinic. It was referred to us by Tricare and is worthless. The staff there is unprofessional and the office manager Barbara Sullivan refuses to speak to you if you have a problem with the staff. Do not let anyone you know go to this clinic if you are truly concerned fot there health. If you do, they will wait for up to 3 hours to be seen, even if they have an appointment. They are more concerned with the billing than the persons health.

Doctors and NP are only concerned about the next bill they can write up. Long wait, minimum service. Look for loop holes to break service contracts. Staff is friendly but providers need to get education on providing 'quality' health care.

The place has the atmosphere of a welfare office. I went there because it was the only place open and I regret it. The doctor I saw was incompetent, the only thing he had to say was "I've only seen that once before so I don't know, you'll have to come back another day when someone else is here", needless to say they charged me for that wise wisdom, and this rarity he had never seen before turned out to be Mono! Then they have mis billed it to the insurance company repeatedly. Avoid like the plague!!!

While I do think the staff is good, the wait time is ridiculous. I've been there twice and the first time the wait was over 2 hours past my appointment time and the 2nd was over an hour past my appointment time. I most likely won't go there again. Definitely don't go during their pharmacy rep hours....the entire waiting room was filled with reps that were dealt with while I waited an hour past my appointment time to see someone.

The wait time as a walk in is very long. The staff has changed a lot and I wonder if they are going to remain when the next time I come there are new ones. Dr. Uba is efficient. The new PA is good and I like a woman medical person as I am a woman. I was not impressed with Dr. Kadogan. He was rude and not as well informed as I would have a doctor. I am not sure I will be going back to that facility. That is the reason I gave it 3 stars. It fills the bill but nothing more.

PROS: location
CONS: wait time inefficient doctor

there is no use making appointments! after checking in you wait for about 30 minutes to sign some paperwork then wait about an hour to go to the back where you wait anywhere from another hour to an hour and a half before anyone checks in on you. this place is just horrible and not worth the time. you'll get faster service at an emergency room.

Cons: TOO MANY TO LIST

This place is very disappointing. The staff is unprofessional and the wait time from lobby to the doctor's visit is relentless. I have always spent a minimum of two hours waiting to be seen by the doctor only to be seen for five to ten minutes. I have high bld pressure and needed to get a prescription refill, the doctor was suppose to call in my prescription. I called CVS five times that day and they told me they did not receive the call. Bathrooms were unsanitary and the atmosphere was very tense. Don't get it wrong, they will collect their money you can be sure of that. The accountant there is a lady and she constantly sends out false invoices claiming that they were from dates earlier in the year. Since I do not keep records of appointments from way back it is easy to sneak in a 25 dollar charge here and there. This happened to me, one particular instance they took so long that I did not see the doctor; I left and demanded my refund that same day. Two months later. This lady sends me a bill for 25 dollars. I told her to explain to me the bill then she claims other visits from two years ago. Which does not make sense, and then she gets to the bill in question. She said that the doctor wrote me in as having the visit with him, now three things...1) either the doctor is a liar and needs that 25 dollars, 2) she is cooking the books to make up for the lack of patients who are going some where else, or 3) I am just making this up and taking time from my work day to type this. I think one and two coincides with each other. You be the judge. By the way when I was on the phone she stated, "Oh and you owe 50 dollars total". I said wait a minute, the bill said 25 dollars and you stated 25 earlier on the phone. She said, ??I don't know, but your going to have to pay the 50 dollars". At that time I just hung up because she did not sound like she was credible on anything that she was saying. I am going to report them and suggest that someone audit them because they are ripping people off. NO RAPHA PRIMARY CARE FOR ME

Cons: Staff, Dr's, Customer service. Go see for yourself

very unorganized...they register you then make you wait..they bring you back to a room...they make you wait some more...you're seen by the doctor and if you need a prescription you have to go out to the waiting are and wait some more. They are quick to take your payment once your registered so you're then forced to sit there all those hours because you ALREADY paid! On average everytime you go whether with an appointment or not you're there at least 2.5 - 3 hours and you see the doctor for less than 10 minutes.

I waited for two hours and didn't even get my bloodpressure taken before I walked out. I had an appointment and had things to do, I couldn't sit around waiting. If I wanted to wait, I would have gone to the hospital. Do not waste your time on these people.

Pros: Nice building, and the waiting room chairs are comfortable since you'll need it

Cons: Having an appointment doesn't mean anything to these people.
