Bay Area is a wonderful and friendly office to visit. Doctor Ramus definitally takes his time with patients and really cares about them as people, not just as patients. For this reason you may have to wait a while before he gets to see you, but it is definitally worth the wait. He truly cares about his work and wants to make sure that everything is taken care of in a professional yet personal manner. Also, the office looked great the last time I went in for an appointment. They have started using some sort of electronic medical records, which made me feel like I was getting the best care possible.
If you are looking for no answers to your problems and just want a drug fix Dr. Demos is the Doctor to see.
She has no compassion dose not give an accurate diagnosis. Dr. Demos dose not fallow through with testing lab work or the health of her patients.
She was my Doctor for a few years and never helped me with any of my complaints.
Terrible Terrible Doctor!!
I cannot believe anyone would be so bold to complain in this forum but not be willing to identify one self. It appears when people get angry they are out raged but how valid is the complaint if you do not address the complaint with the doctor but slander them on this site. Whenever I visit Dr. Demos she is on time and takes good care of me. Very prefessional. Know that you need to identify your problems when you schedule the appointment, she addresses that which you schedule the appointment for.
I have been going to Dr. Demos for over 15 years. Why?? I'm not sure. She has really fallen off. I would demand more time with clients if I were her. She has stopped listening to what my problems are recently so I have had to see another Dr. in the office to get anywhere. I do like Dr. Ramus but can not wait an hour after my appointment time to finally get into a room to wait another 15-20 mins. My time is very valuable to me & should be respected. therefore I will be finding another office to go to. In fact an amazing facility on 30 mile & Van Dyke has opened & they are fantastic!
I dont mind waiting to see a physician who will spend quality time with you, so that is not an issue for me at all as it is for some of the other reviewers on here. However I do mind the rudeness of the nurse that works with my Dr and her speaking to me like I am not on the same level as her. I have called to ask a question because I am concerned about my health and the nurse acts like i am annoying her and snaps at me that she has a list of 12 other people that she needed to call back and thats why they havent returned my phone call 24 hours later.... and she begins to argue with me regarding what tests were performed and why, rather than listening to what the issue is and addressing it properly. I do not care for the staff here and follow up care is not good...when you are made to feel like you are a number it is never good, you are there to take care of your health and know your body better than anybody , you have every right to ask questions and receive a courteous professional answer.
I feel Bay Area is a wonderful facility. The staff there deals with a lot of ignorant and rude people. I have witnessed someone getting upset for something that was their own fault but could not take responsibility. You have to give respect to get respect. People in that area are lower class yet expect to be treated like they are Donald Trump. I will travel the hour to see Dr. Grave's and wait another hour for him. Bay Area is top on my list.
I just saw that someone was upset with Dr. Demos???!!! I am floored. My family of 5 has been under her care for 8 years. I have NEVER had a problem getting her to listen, or getting her to send us to a specialist. I have a son with severe asthma. The day AFTER we see her, her assistant calls our home to see how he is. I love her! I have also seen the other doctors in the office. I have no complaints about them either! Yes, sometimes they are backed up and you have to wait. But, isn't that the way it is WHEREEVER you go??? It's usually not their fault they run late anyways. It's all the patients that show up late to their appointments.
Dr. Ramus, has the personal touch, a listener. I'm appalled by feedback on this site specific to this practice. Everything in life has a tradeoff. You want a fast car, you get less fuel economy. You want clean tap water, you deal with chemical additives. Not a difficult concept. You want the best health care, a physical who understands, listens and spend real time during your exam! Your likely going to spend some quality time reading magazines in the lobby. Have you ever dumped on someone because they spent too much time with you during your exam? NOT. Dr. Ramus is one of a kind. I trust him totally with my life !!! More so, I entrust him with my wife and kids life; my ultimate worldly treasure!!! Look no further and don??t fret over petty feedback. Office staff can get busy, you may have to wait from time to time. But really.... why are you there? What truly counts? Your health bone head! If your luck enough to live near this practice I would high recommend Bay Area. If your like me, you may be fortunate enough to have doctor Ramus as your primay care giver. Just remember, plan for an extra 30 minutes or so? If your one of those worries about time your likely going to die 15 years earlier from stress... (hey maybe Bay Area can help you with that.... LOL

But Dr. Demos has completely fallen off & i will not be going back. Been a patient for close to 10 years. Never had a problem until my last visit. I hadn't gone for my checkup in 2 years, and had a couple questions to ask her. She wouldn't even listen to my questions, just wanted me to make another appt. I asked for a referral to a dermatologist, she wouldn't give me one, only a script for some acne wipes that i told her previously didn't work. I also said i thought i had a cyst or a lump i wanted her to look at, said i will be right back & sent the nurse back in to send me packing. Also the wait time there is ridiculous. I felt ripped off & didn't even get an answer to a single concern I had. Great doctoring huh?
I love the doctors and the staff at Bay area. The doctors and staff have always been nice, friendly and professional. They have always been there even after hours. I and my family have been patients there for about 8 years now. I like the fact that if they are not 100% sure the will send you to a specialist without any hesitation. you can't find many doctors like that.
I love my doctor at Bay Area, but I CANNOT stand the clerical staff or the hour plus wait time. Every time I call it seems as though I am bothering the staff. I rarely get a phone call back with results or answers to questions. I really do like my doctor. She has always given me the time I need and apologizes for the wait. But I've been going here for 4 years and the wait time just gets longer and longer. It is beyond ridiculous! I usually have a 3:30 appointment. I'm lucky if I'm called back to a room by 4:30, and when you do get called back, expect another 45 minutes or so before the doctor comes in! I have never been sent test results, whether positive or negative, and I always have to call SEVERAL times before someone actually calls back. Very frustrating! I am unfortunately looking for a new place :(
This office just had its third strike.
"We dont have an appointment for you".
Not sure how difficult taking an appointment really is. I called, got the next opening (6 days out), and 15 min past my appointement, they called me to the desk and informed me of the "miscommunication".
They did "squeeze me in", but then it became them doing me a favor, and all the attitude with it.
I was more fortunate then the guy who waited for 2 hours and was told he didn't have an appt that day. Another "miscommunication" i guess.
I've always believed a patient's ultimate level of care is determined by the front desk, and this office has demonstrated it one last time for me.
I found this site looking for the email address of my doc. Hoping he has an office somewhere else...
I've been going to Bay Area for about 9 years. I started with one doctor. Got in and out quickly. All I ever needed was a yearly or a wart removed. Could count on being seen right at my allocated time. Then I got really sick. Went to her for my 15 minutes alloted time and scheduled for a 2nd appt. Went for the 2nd appt. and told her I needed to go to the hospital. Got sent home. Checked myself into the hospital and was kept 6 days. Was sent home knowing the diagnosis. Changed to another doc in the same group. Can count on waiting an hour. Can also count on him talking to me and giving me the time I need. That's why the wait. I try to keep him at the 15 min. but I know if I need more he'll give it to me.
Great doctors - terrible office and management. I have been a patient for 12 years and this office has become a "factory". Too many patients scheduled at the same time. Average wait is an hour past scheduled appointment. Too many rude and incompetent office girls. Can;t call and resolve anything anymore. Takes 2-3 days for perscription refill call-ins. Took me four months to schedule yearly physical. Currently looking for new doctor. Putting together invoice for next (maybe last) visit for my time lost. I anticipate an hour or more wait past my scheduled appointment time. Why is there such a turnover of help and why does everyone that works there have the same lousy attitude?
Bay Area Family Physicians is a large office of family physicians. There is a lab right there in the office. Very conveniently located on 23 mile road in Chesterfield, MI. I was a patient there before my insurance changed but they saw me when I had back problems and referred me to a physical therapist. They did my xrays right there. They also did my pregnancy testing. Very nice doctors and nurses and family friendly waiting room with lots of activities for little kids.
