the lights in the room were dimmed. he pulled my gown open for literally 2 seconds. didn't even check. was going to take off two seperate spots w/o really explaining anything. and one of them was on my face. i will NOT go back. was told by another doctor to go to a plastic surgeon.
My fiance's whole family saw Dr. Levin in th past as well as my father. He was checking my brother in-law's acne on his skin and asked him to take his shirt off and told him he was fat! First of all, he is not overweight at all. And second he's a dermotologist, not his place. I have heard negatives from everyone I know that goes to him, and would never subject anyone I know to his form of "treatment".
My husband and son both have little moles that need to be checked frequently for changes. My husband has had several removed. While this office is fine of that, I went to them with a severe rash on my face (probably an allergic reaction to something). I felt like I was being talked own to or that i was vain but my family doctor insisted I see these people.
I was given prednisone and sent on my way. I never was given any explanation as to what the huge blistering red welts were all over my face and what I could do to stop a reoccurrence.
I just felt rushed and not too pleased with the whole practice.
Waiting room is medium sized and busy. Waits can be long. Dr. Levin doesn't have much of a personality. He's all business, very little talk.
I am sure he is quite qualified in the field, I just didn't mesh well with him and have since gone to Watertown to a dermatologist whom I do like very much. It's worth the drive.
This office is OK. They have dealt with my husband and son and both have had no problem.
I prefer a bit more communication about my skin when going to a dermatologist.
