I love Dr Walker! For many of years I have suffered with my psoriasis! Most doctors gave me creams and what not to help, but nothing helped. Not to mention they would have others come and look at me, with still no result! It was embarrassing and I felt like a science project! When I first went to Dr Walkers office I was concerned, because of all of his bad reviews. I didn't wait long long for him. He is not a personal kind of doctor. He was short and to the point and made me feel like I was still normal! I know I am far from being the only person with psoriasis, but it is not in any way flattering. I highly recommend Dr Walker! For a quick and easy result! If you want your doctor to know your life story and be a friend, he probably is not the one for you!

Ok so, I posted about Dr Walker on the message board back in June 2007. You can read my review titled (Whats the world coming to????.) Its a long and bad review for Dr Walker and yes I still stand behind it. In addition, those of you who making negative comments about those giving poor reviews RESPECT A PERSON'S OPINION! You dont have to agree with it....just write your good review and move on. lol

Now, to add to my review. I have not went back to Dr Walker. In fact, I finally found a Dr that is nice, answers my questions and has been a much better Dr for me. I like a Dr that at least acts like they care. If im putting my body in their hands, this is an important characteristic for me. Nonetheless,my new Dr has prescribed me a biological shot. Its not what I want but I have extremely bad psoriasis. Its embarassing, depressing and I cant wear shorts or certain clothes that are too revealing as it covers over 50% of my body. I always wear pants...can only feel comforable in a tshirt...no tanks...no halters nothing! So this shot was my only option. Nonetheless when I went to Dr walker, the stuff he had perscribed me that cost well over 100 dollars. It worked for the most part but I wasnt satisfied. I remember asking him, is there anything else I can try? He said, His exact words I remember..."if you want to have kids?", I said "yes...sooner or later" he said then "no" So I now go Dr my new Derm. Dr Shari Walker. My first visit, consultation I guess u could call it. I told her my situation, what dr walker perscribed and that I wanted to see if there was something better. She asked me questions about my lifestyle and we narrowed it down to the Stelera shot. I told her that my previous doctor told me my only options were the ointment and that this shot would keep me from bearing children. She explained that, the shot can keep you from getting pregnant if you are trying and that you cant take it while pregnant. Yet if I wanted to get pregnant, you have to stop the shot. Dr walker never explained this to me....he was never very friendly. I'm just being honest. I went to dr walker for a lonnnnnnnng time before I cut him lose...I guess you could say. I did try to work with his personality but I just don't believe in giving a person my money for service I dont like or appreciate. So either way, I was afraid of taking this shot because of the side effects and I really try not to take any drugs whether perscribed or over the counter if I can avoid it. I was very leery and had a lot of questions for Dr Sheri. She answered everyone, explained some things to me about my condition and reassured me that I would be ok. She gave me a wealth of information and was very patient. I couldnt be more happy with her and she will be my dermatologist for life unless she changes into a female dr walker. LOL I'm sure dr walker is knowledgable and capable of being an all around good dr but hes not trying from what i can see. Even more so because I see he's continued to get bad reviews. I wish him the best but he's not the dr for me.

I had a great experience with the nurse practioner, Lisa last year. This time they scheduled me with Dr. Walker (although I had requested Lisa.) I had seen negative reviews of him online and thought people were being over-sensitive. I was wrong. He IS a jerk. I don't even know why he practices medicine, maybe so he can feel superior to people? He didn't shake my hand or introduce himself when he walked in the room: first bad sign, but not a huge deal. He seemed impatient the whole time he was in the room. He couldn't feel a cyst on my scalp (I've had several in my life- I know what they feel like) so instead of saying "it's too small for me to feel, so now isn't the right time to try and treat it, come back in a few months," he said "there's nothing there, that's just a bump on your head." in the meanest, cockiest, most condescending way possible, as if he was trying to humiliate me. I ended up walking out of the room practically in tears.

I am surprised at the negative reviews because I found Dr. Walker to be knowledgeable and straightforward. I have met other doctors who are ten times more rude and completely indifferent to their patients. Dr. Walker's knowledge about skin conditions is first rate. He has helped me and my family with our skin problems, and I would recommend him to everyone.

My coworker told me about Dr. Walker. I had a quarter-sized hair loss. I got in, was successfully treated w/1 appointment and didn't see Dr. Walker for years. Most recently I had a skin rash so I made another appointment. He treated me w/samples, again in 1 visit. I opted for another appointment for mole & milia removal (things I had wanted removed for years but kind of put on the back burner).

In response to other reviews: Yes, I had to wait in the waiting room. Yes, I had to wait in the examination room. But no more time than I do w/my family doc, ob-gyn, kid's pediatrician, etc.

Was the examination quick? Yes, and I appreciate that. I don't care if the Dr. makes his money in 7 minutes or 70 as long as he treats my condition. Why do you feel a doctor needs to spend more time w/you if he has already assessed your condition? And yes he has a matter-of-fact approach. Again, I appreciate that. I don't need the doctor to make nice. I have friends for that. Tell me what is wrong; how we will treat and let me get back to work..

If you are looking for a friend, go to facebook. If you are looking for a good dermatologist, go to Dr. Walker.

I have been a patient of Dr. Walker's for 9 years now. I am 19, female, and I can tell you all of you who have said he objectifies women... you're lying. Apparently you want to be objectified so you come up with this crap in your heads. Those of you who say he is arrogant or has no bed side manner, he can be a little short but I believe you have no sense of humor. I first when to Dr. Walker because of discoloration on my neck at age 10. After that dermatitis and later problems with my hair. Then check-ups until i had an issue with a beautician and had to go for hair loss. Later still I was in for more check-ups and now I'm back again for a rash that no one can seem to identify.
Dr. Walker has always been accurate. He doesn't spend 30 minutes with you because he doesn't need to (the man is a genus, you're dealing with an engineer turned doctor). I've spoken with him about my questions with my different diagnosis and he ALWAYS answers them in a comedic fashion. We even chit-chat about things like my pre-med curriculum and our love of organic chemistry (mine is more a like ). Now you will wait to see him. I can't stand the wait but after all he has done for me, its worth it. My mother patronized his spa while it was open at easton and she loved it. Once again you get what you pay for. This is a great doctor if you want correct diagnosis and no other conversation. It is straight forward and right to the point and if it is something you caused he isnt going to sugar coat it. If you want a friend that will have tea and crumpets during your appointments go somewhere else. If you wan an amazingly intelligent doctor that gets the job done and leaves your personal life alone this man is perfect. I am proud to put the welfare of my skin in this doc's hands.

I went to Dr. Walker for a consultation and I had to wait at least 30 minutes past my scheduled time. I had my 14 year old daughter with me. Dr. Walker could not maintain eye contact with me during my consultation because he kept looking at my daughter, who looks more like she is 18. He would look at me, then look at my daughter. After we left, she asked if I noticed that he kept looking at her and she exclaimed that guy is a CREEPER!!! I will never go back.

Dr. Walker is a true reflection of how much our health care system has become a money making machine with little or no concern for the patient's experience. I was reduce to tears at my last visit due to the rude and condesending attitude displayed by Dr. Walker. I will never go back there nor would I inflict him on anyone else through a referral.

I had an appointment with Dr. Walker yesterday June 30, 2010. He was wonderful. I had only a short wait, before I was seen. I do not have any health insurance. Dr. Walker was wonderful, and his staff bent over backward. He was so pleasant while meeting my health needs. I would recommend him to all my family and friends.

I had been a patient of Dr. Walker for a number of years for various skin conditions such as acne, moles, etc.
He is a very intelligent doctor and I do believe he prescribes the best application to the given affliction. I would trust him to perform a surgery as he does have the confidence, experience, and knowledge to do so without leaving a scar on your face or creating other problems. I've never had an issue with him being rude or anything other than just being really busy, which is expected as it's dermatology. I think he is just doing his job and the rudeness people ascribe to him probably has to do with the fact that he doesn't have a lot of time to spend talking about feelings. Personally, I'd take competence over that any day.

I've seen Dr Walker on many occasions, each time I came away feeling like I was being treated like an idiot. He is rude and talks down to people. I was seen last year and prescribed an ointment for dermatitis, started having breaking out about a month ago, same area but spreading to my cheek area. I started using the ointment, schedule an appointment with him (not that I wanted to, but I didn't know who else to see) Upon my visit, he scolded me like a child for using the ointment he prescribed (In a loud voice, "NOT THIS ON YOUR FACE"!!! The label is clearly marked...apply to face. I was rather shocked. And then I believe he said something along the line of, "I don't even see where I prescribed this in your chart" Well, his name is on that label too. He prescribed a new cream, sent me home without suggesting any follow-up visit. Seems that he really doesn't want to be bothered. My face erupted like that volcano in Iceland. Within days I was covered with welts, huge red bumps and white pus filled pimples. I went to the ER on a Sunday morning because my face was so badly swollen, it was interfering with my vision. I stopped using the ointment, ER Dr. only wanted me to put hydro cortisone on it. I scheduled an appointment on Monday with a referral from the ER. My new Dermatologist explains that this steroid had been suppressing whatever was the true cause of my outbreaks, and once I stopped using it, it was like "the food gates opened" He immediately put me on Prednisone and gave me samples of an ointment to use. Within 24 hours the swelling in my face started to subside, 4 days into my new treatment, I was finally able to go out today without people staring. And my trip out today included a trip to my regular GP, who was familiar with the steroid that had been prescribed to use on my face...and he was appalled that any Doctor would prescribe for facial use.
As to the folks who thinks, "well, he's easy to get an appointment with"...think about it. There might be a good reason. And on another note...while I was waiting to see my GP today, I struck up a conversation with a young woman who was familiar with him. Same comments. Said she would never take her son back to him and that he talked down to his patients.

This doctor would not listen to me to enable him understand the exact problem presented to him. He jumped into conclusion and made me look like an idiot who did not know what he was suffering from. You can really tell he is a smart doctor, yet he lacks people skills, and to compound it, he is not a good listener. Others might have had good experiences with him, but, I did not. That visit was waste of money. I have regreted visiting his clininc. Three months after my visit, I am still going through the same problem that made me to become his patient. The prescription did not help in any way.

Unlike a number of the other reviews, I've never had a problem with Dr. Earl Walker since I became a patient of his in 2005. He's never made any snide remarks, has never come across as rude or unprofessional though his sense of humor is a bit dry, and he indeed -does- smile.

For the record, I'm 23, single, female, and of mixed Asian/European descent. (IE, Type 2 skin w/clear olive-toned complexion and minimal overall skin issues.) I've never had any issues with inappropriate advances; in fact, he reminds me of my father quite a bit.

My initial appointment was for a bleeding pyogenic granuloma that formed next to my nostril piercing and for removal of underarm skin tags. The time I waited in the waiting room did not exceed 15 minutes after filling out the patient paperwork, and he came across as practical and knowledgeable to me. I was informed of how the procedures would go to remove the granuloma and the skin tags, advised that my piercing would unlikely remain open, and that his medical advice was to avoid facial piercings for 3-6 months afterwards, if at all.

My appointment was set for the following week and I had no wait time at all. The procedure went quickly and he explained each step of the procedure as he did it. I was neatly bandaged up, asked to wait a few minutes for observation (I have medical allergies to various anesthetics) and given instruction on how to care for my wounds.

Though the appointments were brief, I understand the value of Dr. Walker's time, and I feel that he values mine as well. He answered my questions and did his job. With him being a specialist and myself not having any ongoing dermatological issues, there is no need for him to know me as personally as my Primary Care Physician.

During my most recent appointment, I arrived nearly an hour early for a 2pm appointment and had a 5 minute wait after turning in my patient paperwork. He and a medical student reviewed my records briefly while I was in the room and he proceeded with the purpose of my appointment (mole mapping). I have a biopsy for a suspicious mole scheduled for next week, and he gave me an estimate for a requested cosmetic procedure, which he also described before giving me some preventative skin care advice, and then I was on my merry way. I was in my car 6 minutes after my scheduled appointment time.

His staff is great and very friendly; I personally find his pricing average (though I am from Chicago), and I appreciate his no-nonsense attitude as a doctor. Billing has never been an issue, and in the event a bill is sent to me prior to my insurance, it's not that difficult to call the number and notify them of the error. (OSUMC does that all the time.)

So, if you live a fast-paced lifestyle, see a reputable dermatologist, and would rather keep your private life private, Dr. Walker is great.

I went to Dr. Walker solely based on the fact he was covered by my insurance. I have made three visits there. The first for my consultation, I waited forty five minutes to see the Dr for maybe 7 minutes. He was already out the door before he was ever in. He made a couple of not so friendly comments, let me know in his own special way that we aren't on the same level, and left me with many more questions than when I came in. He failed to even address 50% of the reason I was even there. I had to return two days later for a biopsy, which I waited 1 hour for. The doctor walked in the room an hour after my scheduled time, making no apologizes for his lateness, and was out the door, literally, in five minutes. I was in my car and on the road eight minutes after he first appeared in the room, once again with more questions than answers. I returned today to have my stitches taken out. I called about 45 minutes before my appt. to see if they were running on time as I had somewhere to be one hour and fifteen minutes after my scheduled time. They said they doctor was on time "so far". Upon arrival at the office, there were approximately 15 people waiting, granted they weren't all patients, but I knew exactly what I was in for. Once again, I saw the doctor one hour after my scheduled time...Just to have stitches taken out! He was in the room with me for three minutes. I had one big answer but still a lot of little questions. I would NOT recommend this doctor to ANYONE nor will I return. I only returned the second time because of the urgency of the biopsy and the third because he had the test results. My treatment will be handled elsewhere. I am not a big money client, I was there with good insurance and an even better need for medical treatment/advice. I think he has terrible "bedside manner", is in too big of a hurry (I guess it didn't matter I had waited to see him for an hour), and doesn't offer decent medical advice. Overall, I just think he is a terrible, disgraceful doctor. Take my advice, move on to the next doctor on your list of acceptable doctors, you will be glad you did.

My coworker recommended me to Dr. Walker saying that she's been going to him for years. When I read some of the negative reviews on him she was very suprised and said he has always been helpful and nice to her. When I made the apt I asked the receptionist when the best time of day was to make an apt that would have the shortest wait. She said first thing in the morning and first thing after lunch. I went first thing in the morning and got right in. He answered all my questions and was friendly. I actually am very impressed at the proactive approach he is taking for my acne. He didn't linger long but NONE of the dermatologists I've ever seen have stayed to chit-chat. I would recommend Dr. Walker.

Quite honestly, after reading the reviews I was very hesitant about my initial appointment with Dr. Walker. I am so glad that I followed through because I am very pleased with the care that I received. In fact, Dr. Walker took extra time to talk to me because I am new to the Columbus area. As a woman of color, it was refreshing to see a dermatologist who works with my skin type on a regular basis instead of a dermatologist with limited or no experience in dealing with my skin type. I would highly recommend Dr. Walker to my family and friends.

I kept my appt with Dr. Walker even after reading the negative reviews since there were also positive reviews. The positive side to my experience is I did not have a long wait in the waiting room or once we were in the dr's office. However the negative out weighed the positive. He definitely had that "air" about him that others mentioned. He shrugged his shoulders with every question I asked and said "I don't know what causes this condition, I don't know if it will come back, I don't know....just use this medicine twice a day and come back in 6 weeks." This appointment was for my 10 yr old daughter! He may be used to seeing skin conditions on a day to day basis, but I am not. He spoke to me as if I should not be concerned that this condition suddenly appeared on my daughter. He acted like I was irritating him for asking questions. I let him know I did not appreciate his attitude, and I would be submitting this review.
I made the follow up appointment with the LPN in the office.

I don't know what all these other reviews are about, but let me be the first to tell you that Dr. Walker is an EXCELLENT doctor! I have had eczema for most of my life and worst of all, had a patch of very dark eczema under my nose that resembled a mustache throughout my teenage years and my 20's. After trying numerous dermatologists all over the state my ob/gyn suggested Dr. Walker. I am happy to inform you that Dr. Walker has successfully erased this unsightly and embarrassing problem that has plagued me throughout my youth. With a regimen of GENERIC rx drugs and lots of free samples I can finally step out of the house without makeup. I have found him to be friendly and not the sex-hound these obviously disenchanted, possibly jilted lovers portray him to be. As for the wait, I haven't waited to see the dr. any longer than I have for any other dr. My strong advice would be to choose a dr. with a busy and booming practice, not one who couldn't PAY patients to see him. I am a dedicated patient forever more who is more than happy to drive the 40 minutes across town despite the gas prices.

I have been a patient of Dr. Walker's on McNaughten for 3 years, and in that time, this man has made inappropriate comments to me on 4 of my visits, questioning me about my boyfriend and my status as a single female. I began to feel uncomfortable about his strange "bedside manner" and confided in my fiance', who insisted I stop going to him and find another dermatologist. Since that time, I have discovered that this man has a reputation for making inappropriate gestures toward his patients, and uses his status as a doctor to get dates with women patients and with pharmaceutical reps. Since I am in a medical field myself, I have personally had the opportunity to talk with 6 women who have been involved with Dr. Walker. Two of them were former patients of his, and four were medical suppliers or related medical professionals. VIRTUALLY ALL them felt victimized in their dealings with this man. I just want to warn women out there of this, and to encourage you to share your story if you've had a similar experience with this man. I will NEVER go back there, nor would I recommend him to any of my friends or family members!

I recently had some shallow scars resurfaced by Dr. Walker using a laser procedure. He has the surgical skills and advanced equipment needed to perform these procedures. I am very happy with the results and was well informed about how laser resurfacing works by the doctor. I thought that he was very personable and would highly recommend him and the Luxaderm Spa. We are lucky to have him practicing medicine in our community. Also, I was able to get an appointment right away, which is sometimes difficult in this city.

He treated my acne and eczema as a teenager, and I still see him for my adult acne as a 30 year old adult. I do agree the prescriptions are pricey, and I work for a Doctor, and they try to encourage the use of drugs that the reps sell. They do not get a kick back though. I usually get the early morning appointment, so I don't wait very long. He usually spends 10 minutes in the room with me, answers my questions and gives me unlimited prescription refills. I will be going to see him next week so I will let you know if I notice the arrogance. We have had long conversations about vacations, kids and our families. He is a wonderful doctor with tons of knowledge, and he was highly recommended by my family doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Walker's for over ten years and he has never been rude or arrogant towards me or my family. He is a great doctor and he is aware of that. I feel comfortable around him and we often can laugh and joke. He has always been very informative of my health care concerns. I will admit that you will spend more time in the waiting room than in the doctors room, but if you went to the doctors to ask questions, that it is your responsibility to get those questions answered. Obviously the man is doing something right with his own Dermatology Center and spa. If you have not checked out Luxaderm Spa at Easton, I would suggest it as well. The prices are affordable, especially the packages. My favorite is a Taste of Luxaderm.

My family doctor referred me to Dr. Walker and I wasn't sure whether or not to keep the appointment once I read all of these horrible reviews. I kept the appointment for 2 reasons: The appointment was less than 2 weeks away and I wanted to see for myself what kind of man Earl Walker is. He did not seem rude or arrogant to me. He only spent 5-7 minutes with me, but I believe we diagnosed my problem and I had my questions answered thoroughly. My only complaint would be that he did seem to be in a bit of a hurry, but I wasn't letting him get out that door without answering my questions. I think if you go into a doctor's office with the attitude that this physician isn't interested or concerned in your health, then you are less likely to speak up and make the most of your visit. Don't be nervous or hesitant to see Dr. Walker, just make sure he addresses all of your concerns. I will be seeing him again in 6 weeks, so maybe I will have a more informed opinion at that time.

I went to Dr. Walker on yesterday, May 21st despite reading all the negative comments because I like to form my own opinion about things. The reviews so right. I waited in the waiting room longer than he spent seeing me. My visit was so quick it made my head spin. He gave me a pre-printed prescription and the visit was over. He has no people skills and just had this air about him. I will never go back there.

In addition to Dr. Walker's lack of ability to listen or diagnose, my insurance company wasn't billed for two visits until 19 MONTHS later. Nor was I sent a bill. Obviously, my insurance company could not pay such a late bill, even though it would have otherwise been covered. Instead of then sending ME a bill, (ever, even a late one would have been great) they sent inaccurate information to a collection agency, which of course I paid. Do not go to this doctor.

I was surprised to read most of the posting. I have been going to Dr. Walker for a few years now. He has never misinformed me, did something just for the hell of it, or treated me unkindly. My mother now goes there, he has removed several forms of skin cancer from her body, and now my son. We all think he is wonderful, has a very dry sense of humor, love his Ohio State hats, the music he plays in the office, the cleanliness of the office, and would recommend him highly. His prices are the same as all the other Dermatologists in Columbus, high yes, but what do you expect? You get what you pay for.

I went to Dr. Walker to have a growth removed from my thumb. It is about the size of a wart but it is not a wart, I can't remember the medical term for the growth. My first visit I waited 45 minutes after my appointment for Earl to look at my thumb. Right away his rudeness and arrogance began and he demanded it was a callus. I told him I work with computers and I don't have calluses on either of my hands or fingers. I became very agitated immediately because of his demeanor. I told him that I have had this growth for five years and it becomes irritated and I pick at it and I want it removed! Finally he agreed to remove it. This consultation (about 7min.) was $170.
I went in a few days later (30min. wait) and he did a surgery. I asked to see the growth after he removed it and he acted like he didn't hear me. He said the next step is to get a biopsy to see if it was cancerous. It was be-nine but it was inflamed which was good because my insurance would help with the payment. If it was determine nothing was wrong with the growth it would be considered cosmetic and insurance would no help. I didn't care because I just wanted it removed. This surgery (about 15min.) was $275. Lab services was $163.
I returned to have it checked out (45 min. wait) about three weeks later and to have the stitches removed. I did not see EARL THE GREAT but instead a nurse checked it out. Everything was looking OK she said. At this point it was still healing and I asked the nurse if all of it was removed, and if it could grow back, she said she didn't know.
After several months later after complete healing I noticed the growth has not been completely removed and it became irritated again. I called and Dr. Walker said he would take a look at it at no charge because I was out of work with no insurance. Immediately he said it was scar tissue and I said no it has either grown back or you didn't get all of the growth. Again his rudeness and arrogance exploded. I have never seen any doctor in my life treat me in such a way and has acted so badly. So now I am back to the exact same situation I was in before I went to the GREAT DR. EARL. I asked for him to remove it at no charge since he didn't complete the job. He and his nurses now say they only did a biopsy and they knew it wasn't completely removed. His nurse seemed very good at twisting things around to make it seem like the Dr. was correct and I was an idiot being not in the medicine field.
Currently I am writing complaints to the STATE MEDICAL BOARD OF OHIO and THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU.

I've been seeing Dr. Walker for over 13 years. Initially, I had to wait a long time but it was worth it; he was friendly and informative and took time to answer my questions. Lately, I don't have to wait very long, maybe 10-15 minutes as compared to 30-45 for my primary care physician and other specialist! His office is always clean and he and his staff take all sanitary measures imaginable. I do and would recommend him to anyone with dermatological problems.

Dr. Walker is indeed a jerk. I am a doctor myself (not that he knew this as he was clearly not interested in talking to me). I can confidently say that he has ZERO interpersonal skills with his patients.
I went to him to have molluscum removed. He spent 5 seconds doing a "scraping" which was supposed to have taken them off. When I got home and removed the bandages, the molluscum spots were still there! They had been scraped open and bloodied, but were not removed by any means. When I went back and complained that I had paid for removal and nothing had in fact been removed, he told me to my face that I didn't know what I was talking about and that "they must have grown back". Apparently after 4 years of medical school at OSU, I am too stupid to realize whether or not something has been removed from my skin. I'm fairly certain molluscum doesn't grow back in a matter of hours.
Definitely avoid this guy if at all possible.

I started going to Dr. Walker just to get checked for skin cancer. I felt that he wanted to keep me coming back on a regular basis by finding "precancerous" spots to remove. In the fall of 07 he found two spots to biopsy and after that he said I needed to have more tissue removed from the spot on my back and freeze a spot on my face. When I went to have the procedure done, he cut my face and stitched it, and when I said, "I thought you were going to freeze the spot on my face." He replied that he had to get the biopsy first. After I told him we already did the biopsy, he said, "That's what I get for listening to her." Blaming HIS mistake on the nurse. After that, three days later I broke out with the MRSA staff infection and missed a week of work. I had no open wounds on my body before my procedure, and believe I got MRSA at my last appointment. That also cost me several more doctors' visits, with my family physician and a general surgeon, not to mention the costs of medication, including heavy antibiotics. Now that I have recovered fully, I will NEVER go back to Earl Walker again.

I agree with most of the postings listed below. He KNOWS what he is doing, he just has horrible people skills. Similiar situation to the comments 6/2007. My first visit was on McNaughten very nice office and staff...but if you don't go earlier than your appt you will be waiting!! Doesn't matter though, cause you'll still wait when you get in. By the time he does come in he rushes you through. The most time he took was my first visit when he had a med student with him. Very unpleasant person. If you need refills on prescriptions he makes you set an appt...then only gives enough for 6 mos. I refuse to pay my specialist copay ($25 at the time) for 3 or 4 colorful pieces of paper (that are pretyped and he just signs them) when my pharmicist can just call it in and get it same day!

Last thing, I complained to him about and excessively dry foot. He had his assistant scrape so they can come back to say it's "like" athlete's foot"...here's another script! If you don't know what it is and don't want to test so that I can have it cured, then why should I support your business?!!

I first when to Dr. Earl Walker when I was about 17-18, with my mother. He diagnosed me almost immediately, was somewhat informative and friendly but he was a little rude and blunt. I returned once again, ignoring his poor social skills. Mind you, each time I went to his office I was seen as if never seen before. Though my visits were scattered, I thought doctors were supposed to keep your records?? Yet and still he was more rude with each time I visited. I had to wait a substantial amount of time in the waiting room then again in the doctors office. Finally when he did come in he rushed me in and out. He wasn't informative, he was rude and his personality was completely and utterly unbearable. The very last time I visited his office was the straw that broke the camels back. He had switched offices from Main St to McNaughten. I walked into his new office and wow was I blown back. The office was nothing like his modest office on McNaughten. When you walk in, "BAM" the first thing you see is this big wall display, behind the front counter. It reads "Walker Dermatology" or something like that. I thought to myself wow Dr Walker is makin some big bucks. Eitherway, I went through the routine. Sign-in, paperwork, wait....wait some more.......go back to the dr's office.....wait some more.....wait some more......Dr. Walker walks in.....Ask me few questions.....checks me out.......I tell him that what he gave me before for my scalp was great(I have dermitis and psorisis). He asked me if I remembered the name....I told him no and he said that doesnt do me any good. I thought to myself well if you dont have it on record youre not a very good doctor. He rushed me in and out and on top of that perscribed me some stuff that I cost an arm and a leg. He wrote me about 4 or 5 scripts, 1 costing around 65 the rest were 80and up, there was also one that cost more than 100 dollars. I left my appointment at dr earls again feeling like crap because I hate the wait he treats me. I wish I were an inconsiderate prick like him so I could give him a piece of my mind without a second thought. After checking the prices for the scripts I vowed never to go back. Dr Walker is making big bucks with his office and part ownership of some Spa in Easton then he wants to perscribe meds that only he can afford and treat you like crap. Since then I havent been able to find a dermatologist that I like or that has helped me the way Dr Earl did that ONE time. I was considering going back to Dr Earl but then I found this website and read Kristen's ....I think that was her name......she voiced how horrible Dr Earl is and I decided I won't go back......he doesn't deserve my business. I will continue my search for a Dr. who isnt just out to make money and be an ass while doing so. In addition, i read another woman's remarks she said Dr Earl was great. I dont deny that he cant help, because as I said he did help me ...Once. That woman may have been a consistent patient or caught him on a nice day. Maybe if I went once every couple of months he would teat me better because then I would be making him a lot of money. There are two more issues i would like to discuss then i will stop. One, my old boss told me she went to Dr Earl and he treated her poorly also and she's an attorney. So what I said insinuated about Dr Earl being greedy may not be true but one thing does stand true....the man is rude and needs to get his act togehter.....treat people how he wants to be treated. Second, my sister is a nurse aid and she has told me how the Dr's office she works for gets caterd lunches from the perscription companies. I am sure there are thousands of doctors getting the same treatent and more. We have to watch these doctors because some of them dont see you as a patient they see you as a dollar sign. If I find a good dermatologist....i will post....because I dont want anyone to have to deal with a doctor like dr walker. I hate to have to post this about him but I felt it was the right thing to do knowing what type of doctor he is. I am getting tired of typing ....but one last thing....and REALLY this is it. WBNS10tv has this thing called "docs rate docs". I saw it on the news and decied to check out their website. I looke for a dermatoloist, Dr earl was listed but he wasnt even in the top 10. I didnt have to wonder why ....I knew. The doctors I did try to schedule with were in the top 10 but all were booked for at least 2 mnths.....I havent called all of them yet but the first 1-3 were booked-fyi.

I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. I found him to be uninformative and cocky. He would not answer my questions I had about my problem I had nor gave me any information about the laser surgery I was about to have. When I called the office to ask how much the procedure would cost me, they were not able to answer, stating that it depended on the situation. However, I WAS in the office that same morning, so I am not sure what more they needed. I was very disappointed with their services.

I was looking for a dermatologist for my 2 year old, her doctor would not help find a solution for her dry skin. We found Dr. Earl Walker through my sis-in-law. He was wonderful, very friendly, very informative. He knew right off it was eczema, I was very pleased with the services I received. However I was very unpleased when I received a bill on top of my co=pay and noticed they didn't even submit it to my insurance company. I will however go back again if we have another skin problem. He also does plastic surgery for the face.
