Dr. Yancey almost permanently injured my child and because of his actions we do not know if our child will have any long-term effects. I asked him not to give my child any stimulant based medication and he did anyways. My child had seziures and had to be taken to the ER. If you have an emergency during non-business hours good luck. The doctor on-call does not return calls, but forwards you to another doctor who forwards you to another doctor until you give up and have to make your own medical assessment for your child. If I verbalized how angry I was at him for betraying our trust and putting our childs life in danger.... someone would be in jail or getting questioned by the police. It is unfortunate and what would it have cost for him to simply do the right thing?
I have to say...this is the WORST doctor in the world!! My 8 yr old son had been having stomach pains for over 3 yrs and he refused to do anything to find out what was causing the pain. He told me many times in the office my son had a low tolerance to pain and that he needed to toughen up and I needed to stop babying him and the pain was all in his head so he could get attention. This kid would sweat with the pain..come to find out i had to take him to riley hospital on the same day he seen him for one of the many appts we had for this issue, and he had to have his surgery cus his appendix had ruptured. I found a new doctor and I LOVE her!!!
This doctor has literally been practicing medicine for 35 years and that's it..I dont know what doctor these other 3 people that gave reviews saw, but it wasnt this doctor. I have 2 children and have had to rush them to the hospital 2 times for 1 child and 1 time for the other child becuase of his misdiagnosis. For example; my child was 18mos old and had to be taken to Riley hopsital because he couldn't breathe. That same day I'd taken my child to doctor Yancy and he said was just a cold that would go away in 10-14 days and my son was weezing really bad. Riley hospital gave him a steroid injection and his breathing improved within hours after Dr Yancy said there was nothing to give to him. And this isnt just my experience. Most of my family that has children WERE taking their children to him but after having to also take their children to the hospital after Dr. Yancy had seen their children and did nothing that have all except 1 changed to other doctors. Oh and by the way..when you try to remove them from his care he/his office staff will say they dont transfer records to other doctors..and if you want to get a referral to a specialist he'll tell you he cant recommend anyone you just have to call your insurance...So much help from a doctor that has been in business for 35 years. He needs to change his name to Dr. Chancy because he takes to many chances and you're taking a chance if you take your kids to him. Good blessings to anyone that still wants to go to him. Oh how I miss Dr. Cheung...she was such a good doctor!!
I went to Dr. Yancy as a child and he was awesome then, I now take my children to him and he is still awesome! Very attentive to any concerns I may have with my kids. You can get a work in time any day if there is a problem with your kids...which is very comforting when you have issues that need to be addressed ASAP

Dr. Eric yancy is the best doctor. He really saved my life because, last year in October in the year of 2006 I had a cyst in my neck and if Dr. yancy wouldn't refer me to the hospital to get it took out asap I would be living with cancer and probably on my death bed right now!
I like Dr. Yancy because he is very professional. He was highly recommened by my ob/gyn and friends. He has been in practice for many years and is highly prasied. If I call in with concerns for my daughter, usually you speak to a nurse but, if there is a need to come into the office, you can get an appointment within the half-hour/hour of your phone call.
