I went to Harvey Kreitzer when I was pregnant with my second baby. I changed medical insurance after my first, so because I am now part of the Sharp Rees Stealy medical group, and because of the location and availability of OBGYNs, I ended up with Harvey Kreitzer who was negligent, seemingly lazy, and not willing to listen to what I had to say:After delivering my first baby, I had congestive heart failure, blood pressure of 200/100, fluid in lungs, etc. No one was able to figure out what was going on with me, and thank God I got better, but I was definitely worried that this might happen after delivering my second baby. All throughout my second pregnancy I would bring up my history with Dr. Harvey Kreitzer, and he would nod, etc but basically make me feel like I had nothing to worry about, although my blood pressure was already climbing. After I delivered, Dr. Harvey Kreitzer saw that my blood pressure was elevated, said he would check on it when he visited me in the hospital, but DID NOTHING. I brought up my concerns, and still he did nothing and released me from the hospital. Two days after delivery, I was admitted back into the hospital, into the ER with a 200/110 blood pressure and had to get admitted to Cardiology. This was terrifying for me: I was a mother of newborn and one year old. I didn't want to die, but I felt so close to it. The doctors and nurses in cardiology were awesome; they gave me lasix to get rid of the extra fluid that could've been contributing to the high blood pressure, and the over exertion of my heart. Within a week I was better, but if only Dr. Harvey Kreitzer had not been so negligent, and would've kept me in the hospital longer, given me lasix, etc, anything to keep me from having congestive heart failure a SECOND TIME, then I wouldn't have even had to go into the ER and into Cardiology.I brought up what happened to me during my follow up appointment with Dr. Harvey Kreitzer and he looked at me with a completely blank expression. He had NO IDEA what I was talking about! This infuriated me! All those months of me bringing up my concerns, the detail notes I had written in my intake form on what happened after my first delivery, the concerns I brought up to him while I was in postpartum, and Dr. Harvey Kreitzer WAS NOT LISTENING TO ME the ENTIRE time!I kept my composure, and made it clear that I'd brought up my medical condition to him before, and boy, Dr. Harvey Kreitzer could not get out of that room fast enough. Just by chance I brought up this incident to a girlfriend of mine without mentioning his name, and she said that the man sounded like her negligent doctor. I asked her the name of her doctor and guess who she said: Dr. Harvey C Kreitzer.

Dr, Kreitzer was the OB/GYN that was on-call when I was in labor with my first son. My son was almost 10 pounds and I had been pushing for 3 hours. When he was born there was a lot of damage to me so I guess I would have liked Dr. Kreitzer to have interceded earlier and performed a C-Section. He is fine now and so am I :o)
