upon my showing up for my visit, the dr. performed a routine exam after I explained that the other ob/gyn I was seeing couldn't find the baby's heartbeat and scheduled an emergency ultrasound 5 days down the road. After my exam, the nurse asked Dr. Hassan about calling to the hospital to schedule an emergency ultrasound. To this he says " she's on medicaid. why bother. " Dr. Hassan told me that most likely I would lose the baby because of his poor heartbeat or that he would weigh under 5 lbs and die after birth. I went successfully full term with my son and he was born weighing 8 lbs. Dr. Hassan was present during my c section and was responsible for my after care in the hospital. Needless to say - he didn't check in on me once. I will never use this dr again nor will I recommend him to anyone.

Dr. Hassan handled my care before, during and after a short pregnancy in 2004 that ended in miscarriage at 9 weeks.

I couldn't be more disappointed with his care. He was abrupt and rude. He did not listen to me when I expressed concern over bleeding I was having and, when I pressed to be seen, I was treated like an annoyance and like an alarmist. I left that appointment with him telling me my baby was fine and everything was fine and he basically made me feel like I was annoying him. Suffice to say, I began to miscarry very shortly after my appointment. This was certainly not his fault, but a little compassion and concern for what my body was telling me is definitely not too much to ask for from an OB.

I've seen one other doctor in his practice and she proved to be almost as poor as Dr. Hassan.

I know there aren't many options around here, but it's worth leaving the area to find good care.
