I love Dr Homer E Williams.. I've been going to him since I was 16 years old. He use to quite busy but now his patience have dwindled down due to him retiring (if he hasn't already do so by now). I have noticed that the last time I was there he was a bit more grouchy.. I think it was due to his age.. But, overall he's always been cordial, very helpful and informative and very patient.. I'll miss him terribly when he retires and wish him well.

worst doctor i have ever been to. i'm surprised he is still in business. not only is he rude, he is also wholly incompetent when it comes to forming a coherent diagnosis. i would avoid at all costs.

I can see why some have had a very bad experience and some have had a very good experience with Dr. Williams. I've been seeing him for about 10 years. When Dr. Williams is in a good mood and isn't rushed, he is very pleasant and takes more time with you. When he is in a crabby mood or hurried, he has no interest in listening, interrupts constantly as you're trying to talk, and complains about the staff. He has been very kind to me at times by giving me lots of free samples when he knows my insurance won't cover some expensive meds, makes small talk about my work or the weather, and seems to really care when he thinks you are being mistreated by the healthcare system. But there are also things I wanted his help with, like skin tags or skin rashes, when he simply didn't think it was a big deal and literally wouldn't talk to me about them. Interesting!

So, your experience with Dr. Williams can be hit or miss. I've thought about changing dermatologists a number of times, but nothing has ever been bad enough to push me to actually do it. I think he's just an opinionated older guy who's been in the field for a long time and has heard it all a thousand times. He's not shy about letting you know what he thinks. If he would listen at least half as much as he should, he would get a 5 star rating from me.

Dr. Williams could be the worst doctor I have ever been too. His breath is awful. He does not listen and he misdiagnosed me 3 times, and actually made my symptoms worse. He needs to retire. WORST DOCTOR I HAVE EVER BEEN TOO. SAVE YOUR MONEY

One of the best doctors I've ever been to: explains everything, works "with" me, not against me, and always takes as much time as needed during an appointment. Also, he always identifies any issue I am having immediately, and takes care of it then & there vs. making me come back for yet another appt.

Dr. Williams treated me worse than anyone has ever treated me in my entire life. I just graduated college when my husband and I got pregnant & I pretty much had no choice but to get public aid insurance. I overheard Dr. Williams muffling... "Caresource, ugh" as he walked into the room. He sat down (DID NOT even look at my symptoms) stared me right in the face and said, "you have what we would call 'new mommy syndrome'.... you use more water now don't you?" I could not believe he did not even look at me!!!! I pleaded to please look at my rash that was spreading up my arms and on my legs and that my daughter now has on her face! He left the room, and came back with a bar of soap and said, "here use this". I asked him to please take a look at my hands b/c my daughter is getting it too..... he told me to "pout all I wanted" and that it is nothing contagious. Verbatim, he stated; "well, you can make a follow up appointment if you want too.... but it doesn??t look like you will". I'm not stupid, I have a degree in psychology and I know what that means.... "don't waste my time with your crappy insurance". I started to cry and I left his office in tears clutching my 4 month old daughter.

EXCELLENT
I went to Dr Williams for the first time 30 years ago. I had been to 5 dermatologists who had all treated me, without success, for the issue that Dr Williams identified immediately. He gave me a script and told me I would probably need to refill it 2 or 3 times and that if I followed his instructions that the very itchy, painful issue that I had would be completely gone in 3 months. Well, I was skeptical because I had already seen other doctors as I previously stated. But I followed his instructions and used the medicine and in 3 months it was as if the problem had never existed. And it has never returned. I have a lot of problems with skin issues and have gone to many dermatologists in the past. Dr Williams is not only very patient, kind and professional he is the very best dermatologist I have ever received medical care from. So, I don't know who you are eric, but if you are in need of a good dermatologist, you should return and give it a second try. Dr Williams is the BEST!

I also am not sure if Eric saw the same doctor as me. I saw Dr. Williams for the first time this Monday, and he was patient, professional, and extremely informative. I would highly recommend this doctor to anyone, especially anyone concerned about their skin conditions or moles. It did take quite a while to be admitted (I waited 45 minutes past my appointment time), but this seems to be the norm with skin specialists, as they are always in demand.

l don't know who eric s saw, but it was not the Dr Williams I have seen. He is very attentive and extremely polite. He has always taken time to explain, in terms that I understand, my condition and the treatments he prescribes.

I just got back from my appointment with Dr. Williams and I was a bit worried after reading the one review posted here. I did indeed get the "older gentleman" who was Dr. Williams, so I was even more concerned when he entered the exam room. He ended up being a completely pleasant and knowledgeable fellow. He put me at ease almost immediately and described everything to me in layman??s terms so I could easily understand my condition. What more could you possible ask for from a physician. Heck he even gave me a $25 coupon for my prescription!!! If you have a dermatological need do not hesitate to visit his office. However, it took me almost a month to get in so make your appointment sooner than later.

Oh, and they have a parking garage in the building so parking is a breeze too and it only cost me $1 to park in the middle of downtown.

The older gentleman is very impolite, rude, crude, and socially unacceptable. He constantly interrupted me while I was answering the questions he asked before I got 5 words out of my mouth and he told me; quote "give one word answers because I really don't care what treatment options you have used." The worst service I have ever received will not go back. I do not recommend his service to anyone.

PROS:
CONS: rudeness
