After reading all the neg comments about Dr. Bond I was certainly apprehensive of my appointment. Here's the deal. If you need someone to hold your hand and let you cry on their shoulder and if you need someone to sit their while you ask a million questions? He's not your guy. If you want someone to lay it straight, give you the facts, not chit chat about meaningless stuff and give you the info for what you're there for? Then this is your Dr. He came in rather abruptly, didn't say hello and started right in with what I was there for. Talked fast and even when I did ask him questions he was fast and short. I don't have a problem with his style and actually would rather have it that way. Give me the facts, tell me what the issues are and give me a reasonable course of action. It's like we'd say in Chicago back in the day. Badda bing, badda boom. It's all taken care of. I'll be going back.
I, too, have gone to Dr. Bond. His bedside manner is NOT very good.
He removed one Basal Cell from my shoulder, but what EVERYONE needs to know is that when he is treating you for Rosacea, he prescribes and oral antibiotic (long term) without any discussion of the perils that it can do to your body. Over the last year I have struggled with a very unpleasant side effect from the long term use of this antibiotic and very hard to diagnose the real problem and why it was caused. It has removed all the good bacteria inside my intestinal track. I have since taken myself off the meds 4 weeks ago and am slowly making my way back to good health. Essentially I was left with an antibiotic intestinal yeast infection. NEVER ONCE did he discuss the fact that ALL patients on an antibiotic should actively take a probiotic and beware of the other health consequences. Needless to say, I am angry and wish I had been educated by the doctor. This could have all been avoided. The are OTHER options beside an oral antibiotic. Please investigate and do your homework!
I will NEVER return.
I did not wait long at all...and that is good because I will not go back to a doctor if doesn't see my time as valuable also. I am sorry to hear others had such a bad experience with him, but I had a fantastic visit and found him very jubilent and nice. He took care of my skin problem quickly and never once said anything close to sounding rude or condescending. I liked him and I will be back if I ever need him again!
Go see Dr. Bond "No Sir". I went into Bonds office for an acne problem 3 months ago he prescribed me some meds and told me i will see results in 6 weeks kind of long but o.k. Well that did not work i then went back to him after 7 weeks he then prescribed me something else, have seen any results you ask (NO) I have not. Does this guy really know of care about what he is doing? We had no patient Dr. interactment he would just assure me that things would be fine and for me to give it some time. I am tired of waiting. i am know looking for another dermatologist, does anyone know of a ggod one in Grapevine-Southlake or Lewisville area?
I have had one office visit experience with Dr. Bond, a couple of years ago. My experience echoed the one in the review previous to mine. Eerily similar.
Yesterday, I phoned Dr. Bond's office to report a bleeding mole on my back. Not just a little blood, mind you. It was dripping down my back! Could they fit me in? Yes...in THREE WEEKS!!! Found another dermatologist who said I needed to be seen right away. And, yes, it's most likely a basal cell carcinoma that needs to be removed.
I feel the focus of Dr. Bond's office is on those patients who are there for elective procedures. If that's what you're looking for, then he may be your guy. However, if you've got a legitimate health concern, I would find another dermatologist.
I wanted a full body mole exam since I had not had one in over two years. The nurse was very nice and listened to my concerns and wrote them down. It appeared the doctor never even looked at what she had written. He seemed pretty dismissive of anything I pointed out. I would say this mole itches and he would tell me that it shouldn't. I asked him to look at something on my face. He said it was nothing but agreed to a biopsy. He made me feel like a hypochondriac. I asked him if it was something, what would they do. He simply states, "Cut a hole in your face." Lovely bedside manner. I had one more thing that looked odd and itched. He grimmaced, looked at it and said it was nothing. After he left, the nurse says,"He doesn't like multiple problems. He gets a little frazzled." Yay! Turns out... the thing on my face was something. Maybe I should have insisted on a biopsy of the other places as well. Doesn't matter because I will NEVER go to this guy again.
