I cannot believe the level of unprofessionalism and rudeness experienced at Dr. John Kehoe's office. I will never step foot in here again. I felt like a piece of meat, and I really felt like I had grounds for medical malpractice.
I have fibrocystic breasts, and I came to Dr. John Kehoe's office for the first time for my 4th breast lump. I just moved to NYC from Westchester, so I wanted to find a breast surgeon closer to my new place. I arrived at Dr. Kehoe's office and was received by two incredibly rude receptionists who barely noticed I arrived. I waited a full hour (asking 3 times for an update on the status) before someone called me. This nurse was incredibly unprofessionaly, barked at me like I was a child, and stuck me in an exam room. She then proceeded to perform a test on me, which I had no clue what she was doing. I immediately screamed, "What are you doing?!" and I demanded to see the doctor. She then, very rudely, told me to go to another waiting room to see a doctor. In this room, I found about 5 women who were also waiting to see the doctor. Many had been waiting for hours, and one had an appointment that was 3 hours before. One claimed it was worth the wait, and that the doctor was worth it, but I don't agree with her.
At this point, after all of the rude staff, having a beastly woman try to perform tests on me without my consent, and all of the excessive waiting, and now having been there for about an hour and a half without seeing the doctor, I left the appointment and demanded my co-pay. The incredibly rude receptionist haughtily gave it back, but they treated me like I was scum. I will never go back to this doctor again. I am very upset because I think there are many competent, professional, caring breast specialists out there, but Dr. John Kehoe's office is a pure travesty. Go somewhere else. I will be going back to my old doctor in Westchester County because her office was clean, her staff friendly and professional, the doctor met me immediately and was willing to explain everything to me, and I had an overall great experience. You will not have this at Dr. John Kehoe's office.

Pros: NONE, although I don't know how competent the doctor is

Cons: Unprofessional, rude staff + Extreme wait

.

I have been Dr. Kehoe's patient for several years
now. I assure you, if you must wait, it's because
the doctor is excellent and has many patients who
obviously agree with me. He gives his full time
and attention to each patient, gives a follow-up
written evaluation to take with you, as well as a
reminder when you need to come in again.
I had a fine needle biopsy done in the office. He
allowed my close friend to be there with me. It
was very kind and considerate, as other doctors
get annoyed if you do so. The staff is exceptional,
and will assist you in whatever you need.
The office, staff and surroundings reflect the special
physician Dr.Kehoe is. Whatever your outcome,
you'll feel safe in Dr.Kehoe's skilled hands.
