John R. Porter, MD

As a first time mother, of course I was nervous about choosing a doctor for my baby. I could not be happier with Dr. Porter and his staff. Every one of them is very friendly and they are patient with all the questions that come up from a worried parent. We all had a rough start as my son was born almost 5 weeks early. Dr. Porter even called us on a Saturday to check on our baby. That really sealed the deal - I truly hope he will be our son's doctor for many years to come.

Dr. Porter is a great pediatrician!! He has been seeing my oldest daughter for 4 yrs. and he is now seeing my newborn. He came to the hospital everyday after my second child was born to get acquainted and make sure everything was OK. He is very patient, gentle, and light spoken. I always recommend him when someone ask me if I know of a great pediatrician. His front office is also great and very friendly!!

Dr. Porter has cared for my children for 14 years. He is friendly, patient and knowledgeable. The front desk staff is courteous and helpful. They have always been available to care for my children and I would recommend this practice highly.

Dr. Porter is a great pedi for my girls. We used Dr. Newton (also good) until he moved to Frisco. We transferred to Dr. Porter based on recommendations from co-workers. He is very thorough! He takes time to discuss everything with his patients and their parents. We have been very pleased. His office staff is very nice and works to get you scheduled in a timely manner. You don't have to wait in the waiting room for half an hour to be seen! Good central location in Richardson.
