Dr. Uyeda is the best eye doctor I have ever visited. His staff is wonderful. He takes his time explaining the results of his exam. I switched everyone in my family to his practice after I went for my initial visit. 5 of the 6 people in my family wear glasses so it is important to us to have a good provider. He and his staff are very patient with children. I also have a teen who wears contacts and they were great while coaching her on how to insert them and maintain them for healthy eyes. This was not the case with our previous eyecare provider. I would definitely recommend Dr. Uyeda!

I had been going to Dr. Uyeda for years, 6 sets of glasses to be exact. On my most recent script, I purchased a pair of Valerie Spencer frames, which he sold at his practice. Within 6 months, the embellishments on the frames began to fall off, one by one. Having still owned all of my glasses from the first pair on, without there ever being an issue (my glasses are still like new, I am very good with taking care of them), I returned to the office to talk with Dr. Uyeda. When I explained to him that I had every pair of previous glasses, including a much older pair of 9 West, he said "You cannot compare 9West to Valerie Spencer (brands)." He offered me that I would pay $135 and that I could choose a new frame from the Spencer line and that he would put into the frame my previous script (not the new one that I am being fitted for today). I agreed as the glasses that I had were unwearable. I went for the new frames, even coming in when the rep from the company was there. There were very few frames that were non-metal, so my choices were limited but I did find a frame that I thought would be suitable. When the frames came in they were noticeably crooked. One of his assistants told me not to worry that this was common. NO LIE, I was into his office a minimum of a dozen times, more. Every assistant and even Dr. Uyeda tried to heat and bend and fix the frames so that they would fit, to no avail. I finally stopped going. I was and am really angry. I trusted you and the products you sell to be of good quality. I don't want to buy and be stuck with cheap glasses that are simply fashion statements. I want good glasses that are comfortable and long wearing. If you can't compare the quality of a frame to another that is really good, don't sell it or at least tell me! He could see how many times that I was returning and that there were clearly issues with the frame and he did nothing to keep a long-term patient. I now have had the last two frames from him that are unwearable, I will not return. I write this to make others aware.

I had a bad eye infection which I thought was just an irritated eye. A friend saw me and told me my eye looked horrible and that I should call my eye doctor immediately. My doctor was on vacation and my friend referred me to Dr. Uyeda. He told me to come right in and he would see me even though he had a busy schedule. Dr. Uyeda gave me a thorough exam and told me my eye was severely infected and if I didn't come in right then I may have lost my vision. That was two years ago and he has been taking care of me since. His expert care and genuine concern is very reassuring. Dr. Uyeda is mild mannered and a true professional.

Dr. Uyeda is thorough, caring, and very friendly. He and his staff take great care of my eyes and are very good at what they do. I find stylish and high quality frames there every time and they have a very swift turnaround on glasses and contact orders. I would definitely recommend them to anyone for complete eye care.
