Katrina M. Bassel, MD

She is by far the best doctor i have ever had. She is very detailed about explaining what she will want to do and why(she will even dumb it wayh done for those of us without a ph.d.). She is also considered by other nurses, i was informed when i went it for an endoscopy, that she is very detailed when she does anything she will check and take samples of everything when she does her testings. The only draw back is she is so well liked that u have to schedule normal appointments months ahead unless its urgent obviously as she is so busy i really dont know how she does it and still knows who i was after 4 years of not going to her due to some stupid thing with my insurance.

Overall if you are looking for a good doctor she is the one a very good GI doctor.

I was pleased with my experience with Dr. Bassel. Needing a colonoscopy isn't high on most folk's list, but the staff and Dr. Bassel put me at ease and helped me get through it. Also, they were open to my concerns about not wanting to be sedated during the procedure (weird, I know) and they agreed to give me a light painkiller and increase it if I deemed it necessary. I appreciated their willingness to step outside of the normal procedure for the patient.

My doctor is Dr. James Chapman, he is my internist and I feel that I literaly owe my life to him. There area a great group of specialists in this medical group, I know cause I have seen several of them. They have always seen me promptly and given me the help I needed. Ease of getting an appointment is another great thing with them and they are conveniently located just off George Bush Freeway in Plano...at Plano Baylor Hospital facility.
