My daughter got her braces put on June 2012 at the Apple Ortho in Richardson. When her regular dentist stated that she needed braces in 2010. I made a consultation appt with Apple. Everyone was so nice and willing to answer any questions that I had. She seen Dr Coles, but due to her still having baby teeth and her age, he told her that she needed to wait just a little longer for them. 2 years later, we made another appt for a consultation. When walking in the office, the same people are still working there and still willing to help. And this is one thing that you look for when you are working with someone, people that like where they work and wanting to be there for a long time. Anyway, this time she was ready for the braces. Of course, being a mom ?? and knowing that you always get a 2nd opinion ?? we made a consultation appt with another place. I would not choose one place, simply because I was told by to many people to stay clear of them. And the other place that we had a consultation at ?? well lets just say, if you like going into a facility that smells of dirty diapers and being herded like cattle through the facility then Smiley Dental is your place.
If you want a clean facility, nice employees, people willing to help you and not have to deal with kids running all over the place like their parents haven??t trained them. Then Apple Ortho is YOUR place to go. I am very glad that I choose Apple Ortho for my daughter??s braces. Not only did I get treated nice, the girls also working with the doctor were really nice to my daughter ?? they talked to her, made sure she was ok. They showed her how to floss her teeth with the braces. Made she they answered all of our questions. They cared about what was going to happen with her teeth, explained the whole process to her, each time they were going to do something in her mouth ?? they let her know what exactly they were going to do. They made her feel very comfortable. My daughter walked out of Apple Ortho smiling and has loved her braces. Overall on a 1-10. I would defiantly give Apple Ortho a 10 for their service.
Dr. Coles was wonderful I was treated in his Dallas Location, but came to the Richardson office a few times. His assistants were wonderful and very gentle. Most of the time it felt like I had just sat down and then I was done. Dr. Coles was very good about explaining all that was going on, and what my part in the treatment would be. I would recommend this office to everyone.
I got my braces done at Apple Orthidontix by Dr.Coles and i have to say i love my Smile!!! The Doctor and the assistants were way nice and always easy to talk to making you feel comfortable and at ease. And pretty much all of the assistants speak fluent Spanish, which is awesome cause i have family members and friends who speak Spanish and they say its very easy to speak with the assistants.
I read a review where they said Dr. C didn't seem like he knew what he was doing and i have to say that is a total falsehood! Dr. C has done my three older siblings as well as my little sisters and my teeth and all of are teeth look amazing!!! To tell you the truth pretty much all of us had crazy crooked teeth! But now we are constantly getting comments on what beautiful smiles we have and its all thanks to Dr.C! Thanks to Apple i feel comfortable enough to show my pearly whites and i plan to keep showin them and pass the word along that Apple Orthidontix and Dr. Coles are the ones too see!!!

I would give this doctor 0 stars if I could. On many of my scheduled appointments the staff was not there, they were on vacation. No one bothered to tell me about this and I would show up to an empty office. On my last appointment, the doctor seemed like he was doing the normal appointment procedures, but he quietly told the nurse to take off my braces, without letting me or my parents know. When I informed him about still tilted teeth and gaps, he said that it was my fault for not showing up to appointments. I HAVE NEVER MISSED AN APPOINTMENT. When I was leaving, he ran up to me and said I never wore rubber bands and never showed up. Then, he showed me the door and said, in his exact words, "{TAKE ME TO COURT} IF YOU WANT TO MAN! I"M NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING ELSE." This is DR KEVIN COLES. DON"T GO TO DOCTOR KEVIN COLES! HE IS THE WORST THERE IS.

I was treated very badly by the secretary. She always blamed me for being late when I was actually on time. I even set up a reminder every time I went there but they wanted to charge me $25 for each appointment just because they missed my appointment reminder. They make appointments 8 weeks in advanced and give us a paper with the time on it that is 2"x2". The fat doctor stays in his computer room playing tetris and making us wait while I sit there waiting for him. I end up waiting 30 min for a 10 min appointment. They make us brush our teeth with mouth wash. What the heck is that? This place is really unsanitary. There are insects in the lights. The nurses are untrained. They basically do a handstand on your jaw with the amount of pressure they apply. Don't come here. This place stinks, literally.
