Going to Dr. McLeod is like going to a show on Broadway, you really enjoy seating in his chair and he will make you feel like a million bucks.

When my childhood dentist retired, I took my time in finding a new one. I found a wonderful new dentist. I am confident to recommend my dentist, doctor Neil McLeod who practices on Sunset Boulevard in West Hollywood. He takes care of my whole family, and has abolished my children/s and my husband's fear of visiting the dentist. Dr McLeod has the latest technology that helps to keep his services up to date, and yet he seems to have all the old world charm of a family doctor ready to come in for an emergency at the week-end, and willing to take his time to do his artistry carefully as if time did not matter. If you are looking for a good dentist, stop, you have arrived.

Dr Neil McLeod in West Hollywood has been my dentist for the past 21 years. He and his competent staff have always given a consistently fine standard of care. When I first went to Dr. McLeod, I presented him with a mouth full of huge silver fillings all of which he removed carefully and replaced with beautiful restorations.

Over 10 years ago, our daughter had a dental emergency: She was in extreme pain and showed evidence, to my unschooled eye, of an abcessed molar - and it was the beginning of a long weekend. We called our friend, West Hollywood Dentist, Dr. Neil McLeod, and asked his advice. He was willing to see her at short notice, make a diagnosis and then he opened up his office on a Saturday morning to treat the problem. He has been our family dentist ever since!

We appreciate Dr. McLeod's consistent, meticulous care, and excellent dental hygienists. His practice of dentistry is characterized by a very pro-active approach which encourages patients in specific strategies and practices that promote ongoing dental health. He explains clearly why he does what he does and he helps and motivates patients to do what they need to do to take great care of their teeth! We have also been pleased with the referrals Dr. McLeod has provided when we've needed an orthodontist and oral surgeon.

My experience with Dr. McLeod was excellent from start to finish. Because of less than favorable experiences with other dentists over the years, I often find myself anxious - especially when I have to transfer to a new dentist. But on the glowing recommendations of some trusted friends, I made an appointment with Dr. McLeod and have never looked back.

I recently found that I had to have a crown replaced from a root canal tooth to address decay etc. To be honest, I had to resist the urge to flee at the mere thought of anything remotely connected to my many root canals. Thankfully, Dr McLeod squelched all anxiety from the moment he approached the situation. It was also refreshing to have a dentist who's sole purpose during the visit was to attend to the problem within my mouth, and not the mouths of four other patients simultaneously waiting in a dental "assembly line." It was a new experience for me, and I must say that I enjoyed it. Yes, you read correctly. I actually enjoyed a dental experience!

Dr. McLeod and his staff display a meticulous attention to detail. I enjoyed a feeling of uncharacteristic calmness in the chair that I'm sure was a direct result of the good doctor's expertise and reassurance. He takes great pride in his work and approaches it with all the passion of an extremely accomplished artist. Every aspect of the work is discussed and if something is left out, he is always open to anything you bring to his attention.

The front desk and other office personnel are always kind and patient. Dr. McLeod's assistant Sandy is wonderful and highly knowledgeable about all things dental. Those attributes coupled with her kindness add to the reassuring feeling that you are in good hands. Darleen, the hygienist gave me one of the most gentle yet thorough teeth cleaning I have ever experienced.

I am not usually one to write a review, but I made an exception in the case of Dr. McLeod, not only because he is truly exceptional, but also for the sake of those who may be as anxious as I once was. If you are delaying your dental work or simply trying to ignore it because of unpleasant experiences in the past, please take the time to visit Dr. McLeod. I assure you that you will find him to be everything you have been seeking in a dentist.

Pros: Professionalism, personal attention, cutting edge equipment, expertise, his excellent collection of music along with all his other artistic proclivities, and last but not by any means least, the doctor's delightful sense of humor.

Cons: None. All positive so far.

I have been going to Dr. McLeod for 30(!) years. When I moved out of the county, I used a dentist in my neighborhood, but I was not so impressed with the skill of the hygienist, who was somewhat rough. After a few (maybe just 2) visits, I went back to Dr. McLeod's office, where the entire staff is very friendly and professional. Darleen the hygienist is very thorough, yet so gentle....she is wonderful! And of course, Dr. McLeod is tops, he is truly passionate about what he does. Sometimes it takes up to 2 hours for my drive to his office, but with the type of care I get from him and his staff, it is well worth it.

I have the pleasure knowing the Doctor for 11 years and learned that he is a caring person, good father, husband and a friend.. Do nor hesitate using his services.
