Dr conti was our three children's dr. For 10 years and became a part p or family. Our kids love him and he always went above and beyond. Those of you pissing and moaning about the office and your wait and the word BALLS, get over yourselves! He a clue that the world doesn't revolve around you and I your kid didn't hear the word balls from that man he surely would've herd it somewhere else! What about the commercials talking about a man taking drugs o get a hard on?! Or spongebob picking noses and the filthy mouths all over?! Get over yourself! Pathetic!
Conti not only refuses to hire sign language interpreters if you are hearing impaired (this is required by the law, and his practice isn't exactly small enough to justify not being able to afford the extra expense, which is tax deductible anyway), he will NOT write down the information for you, no matter how important it might be to the health of your child, and will instead "fire" you as a patient. Not only that, he will overcharge you for procedures never done in office due to being "fired" and not send you a bill but forward it straight to collections. A complaint with the state was filed against him, and I just read in the Review-Journal that he has been charged with fraud as of October 13th, 2011.
My Review is for,Dr. Ralph Conti who began to see my son at age 2 for asthma and failure to thrive. Even 20 yrs ago Dr. Conti was ahead of his time. he tried different treatments on my Son until he finally got a combination that worked. My Son's breathing improved as did his self esteem, He began to grow. My Son is now 24 He has breathing problems when seasons change. Now he just drives himself to the e.r.He will never be a "big" man only about 5ft5 130lbs. I convinced him at 21 he had to go to the grown up Doctor. I have 4 children Dr. Conti has been their paediatrician, My friends I send all of them there as well.
Dr Conti is the most wonderful MD for children my kids are 21 and 25 now and when they get sick they say why can't i go to Dr Conti (They know why) but they always felt like he could control there sickness and Asthma problems and get them to feeling better. Like I say the doctor makes the child feel welcome and at ease. We miss seeing him and hearing his whistling down the hall
I took my baby to Dr. Conti from the time she was a newborn. I had her very early and took the recommendation from a co-worker instead of interviewing him because I did not have the opportunity. He did not come to the hospital himself, but sent one of his associates. When she was 4 days old we waited over 2 hours to have her be seen at his office. This was not easy on a recovering and new to nursing mommy. It was all downhill after that. Most of the time, he has good bedside manner, however I dislike the wait time, the overbooking, and the office staff. I would not recommend Foothills pediatrics to anyone. I felt like a number. When my daughter was in the hospital and the practice was notified, there were no calls, visits, or follow-up by them. This practice was not a good fit for me or my daughter. I have found a Dr. that is awesome though and I will give him an excellent review.
NO STARS. The practice begins with a front desk staff that is unfriendly and overbooked. Wait times are intolerable for a parent (and especially one with an infant) and the office is lacking a feeling of modern cleanliness.
But the ultimate horror that lies beyond the waiting room was that the nurse GAVE MY CHILD THE WRONG SHOT. This isn't a case of someone reading the wrong weight on a scale. This is a HORRIFYING mistake of INJECTING something into my baby's body. No matter how much you 'may' like the Dr (Conti- in our case) if the rest of the staff is mixing things up, and mismanaging care, it speaks volumes about the lack of detail and attention they are truly (not) giving their patients. Ask yourself: what else are they mixing up? patients? rooms? medications? files? and we already know...shots! RUN from this practice, or get yourself a good lawyer.
