Richard A. Korentager, MD

This review is about a botox injection I had at Dr. Richard Korentager's office. Absolutely horrible! His injector, Christine, should not be allowed to touch anyone's face. Her technique was odd compared to my previous experience with another injector, and the results made me not what to leave the house for three months. My face was disfigured, and my confidence and life was ruined until it wore off. She over did it, and I spent $380 dollars for that hideous look. Then, to make matters worse, she behaved in a completely childish and unprofessional way towards me. I found out from Dr. Korentager that she made up a story and told me he looked at pictures of me after the injections, and he said that her work appeared to be acceptable. He said that what she told me was false. The one star, and that is generous, is for the not only the lack of skill of this injector, but also for how insincere she was. Unless you would rather look ten years older instead of younger, stay away like the plague from Christine. Unbelievable!

Dr. Korentager was one of the kindest, most talented doctors I have ever been to. My husband and I were still in a state of shock upon finding out that I had breast cancer when we met with him the first time and he patiently explained every procedure possibility and helped me make the best choice for my treatment and surgeries. When we realized that we had more questions after we had seen the breast cancer surgeon, Dr. Korentager immediately saw us, again, to make sure we understood all that was going to be done regarding the reconstruction process. He also has the most incredible staff - the receptionist and the nursing staff. They always had time to answer every question and their professionalism and skills are second to none. In addition, we continue to be impressed at their level of community involvement in donating their time to worthwhile healthcare-related causes. I have not had any post-surgical problems and I couldn't be happier with the final results. I strongly recommend Dr. Korentager to anyone needing reconstructive or cosmetic procedures.

Dr Korentager took the time to listen to my expected outcome and to tell me what he thought he could realistically perform.
His work looks great, my back pain has been completely alleviated and I feel much better overall.
Office staff was always warm and inviting.

My experience the second time around was so much better than my initial augmentation. My first surgeon was really personable but I just wasn't happy with my results until I had them redone with Dr. Korentager now they are perfect, the right size (after I let them relax a little) and just perfect. His office was really great as well about answering questions and getting me in for a follow up. I can't thank them enough

Korentager is a terrible cosmetic surgeon, although a well-respected medical plastic surgeon and burn surgeon. He has limited experience in cosmetic breast augmentation and does terrible work. I agree with many of the other negative reports listed here. He went WAY too large for my frame (I am 116 lbs and now have a DD cup with a "high" profile that looks ludicrous), my implants ripple, and the scar is crooked, wide and in the middle of my breast, not hidden underneath. In addition, the left breast is much higher than my right. He admitted that he had "overfilled" and was willing to take some out, but when I tried to reschedule, I was told that I first had to have another consult, and wouldn't be able to book that for THREE MONTHS! There are many other breast surgeons in town - go with the ones that do the largest number of procedures, and has positive feedback from clients.

As an educator of areola/nipple restoration for breast cancer survivors and owner of International Areola Restoration Academy, Dr. Korentager has taken the initiative to train and educate his medical staff on clinical areola/nipple tattooing post breast cancer reconstruction.

Dr. Korentager saw the need for complete breast reconstruction and therefore held the first course of its kind of clinical areola/nipple tattooing at KUMC in March 2010. His medical staff trained on actual breast cancer survivors that we out 2-5 years post reconstruction. The patients were elated to feel like complete women again.

As an educator of areola/nipple restoration, I find that most woman are not aware of their choices and options after reconstructive surgery. Dr. Korentager can now give them that option.

I have had the opportunity to see the after effects of scarring and breast reconstruction from many physicians in my line of work and after seeing several of Dr. Korentager's patients and work, I highly recommend Dr. Korentager for breast reconstruction.

I went one cup size down. My boobs are still huge and get in the way, I kept calling the doc and asking how long before the swelling would go down before I would notice a difference. He said they would and I still am wearing dd cup and told him i wanted to be a c cup and be able to wear baithing suits. yeah Not happening and the sad part is I only way 137 and lost all this weight but still have huge breast.

Dr. K is a wonderful doctor, he is supportive and very understanding and when you are feeling emotional. he and his staff are right there for you. I had a bilateralmascetomy with a tramflap rebuild and the surgery was 9 hours long and i would do it again with him and his staff. his staff really listens when you are feeling not sure or feeling down. they were wonderful during recovery and would take my phone call no matter what i needed. they are an AWESOME group of people and i and my husband are very very happy with my results.

Dr. K did breast reconstruction on me after breast cancer. I was a large woman and could not figure out how my 42 DDD was going to look the same. Implants only size up to a DD and for me that was not the best look. I had a fat tire tub in my middle section and Dr. K shared with me if that mid section was gone then the DD's would look like normal breasts. One thing about it when you are a XXL woman no one can help you look like a model. That was when I knew I had to be the one who changed my look, Dr. K can only do so much! So I lost weight and went from a size 22 women's to a size 10; now I look like the model I thought he should have made me in the first place. Thank you Dr. Korentager for your knowledge, suggestions and patients with your patients.

I went to Dr Korentager for a total body lift and felt that he gave me all the "facts" about the expected results, and I felt he made sure I had reasonable expections for how I would look after my surgery. My results were incredible- I have the body I have always dreamed of. I have a new life thanks to him, he was very down to earth, honest and a great surgeon. I wouldn't hesistate to tell anyone to see him. Thank you Dr. K!

I came to Dr Korentager for a Breast Lift and enhancement. I left Dr Korentager with even lower self esteem than I started with, almost 12,000.00 less than i had in the beginning and a really bad breast job! I'm not your typical sized person to have these services done, but i figured it would be my drive for losing weight. It's made me even more of a recluse than I was before! The dr and staff were nice enough, but that doesnt fix things when they go wrong. My implants move and I look like I have 4 breasts when I flex my muscles. I can't swim and do the breast stroke without pain or even do things as simple as opening a heavy door without the implants rising. Dr Korentagers explanation was that this happens with body builders and that the perfect implant unfortuately has not been created yet!! That's it! I would strongly reconsider having this surgery done with him and I would search for another dr. This was a once in a lifetime chance for me. I did go to another dr who told me he could fix it, but it would be very expensive. If I was more pro-active I would have sued!!!!!
