Dr. Rick Jacobson and his staff are streets ahead of any other orthodontic group I visited. Their professionalism and attention to detail is inspiring. The took my ugly teeth and embarrassing smile and created a major transformation in my look, my bite and my general oral health. I now have a great smile that I'm proud of. The staff were caring and very professional. I feel lucky to have been treated by the best. Do yourself a favor and visit this office before you make any dental commitments to anyone else. I am so thankful I found Dr. Jacobson. I had adult braces which changed my life. I look at before and after photos and I adore the smile Dr. J gave me. I was so happy with my treatment and I love to smile now! Dr. Jacobson is an excellent doctor with a wonderful personality, the nurses are not only friendly but highly skilled and the offices beautiful. I will be bringing my daughter when it is time for braces.

Dr. Jacobson is an AMAZING pediatric orthodontist. My daughter had to have a baby tooth pulled. Dr. Jacobson and the staff took great care of her and handled the procedure perfectly. My daughter also has a nightime retainer, which has straightened her teeth beautifully and prevented her from having braces. Thanks to Dr. Jacobson's early diagnosis and intervention. He is great with kids, explains medical issues to the parent out of earshot of kids so they don't get scared. He's the BEST.

I've been seeing Dr J for over a year and I can't tell you what an impact he's had on my life. In all honesty, he may have saved it. He is one of the most reputable orthodontists in the world, he came highly recommended by a very picky Hollywood friend of mine. I wasn't sure what to expect, as I had never taken care of my crooked teeth and felt a little weird getting braces in my 40's. He made me feel not only comfortable about the choice, but I got excited, and I could tell he was happy and excited for me. But then, while examining the 3D xray of me (most doctors still only use 2D xray, which now I've learned shows the doctor very little by comparison) Dr. Jacobson asked me if I snored, and if I was tired during the day. I did snore, horribly, and I was always tired. He told me that I had a small airway, and was suffering from sleep apnea, a potentially life threatening condition!!! I'd heard about it and I was afraid I was gonna have to go to a whole slew of doctors and wear some sort of robot looking sleep mask, but the Doctor told me he could address the problem with the braces and other non invasive treatments, if necessary...the point is -- a guy that straightens teeth is SO GOOD at his job and his equipment is so cutting edge, that he probably saved my life. I sleep like a baby now, and I'm never tired any more. Look, I just can't say enough about this guy. He's just expanded his practice, teaming up with other specialists to offer services for people looking for reconstructive surgery, or facial work -- kinda like a med spa but with these world renown Doctors doing all these procedures. My mom and all her friends are hooked...and she's not the kind of lady to get into Botox, but they do everything there...anyway. If you go to Doctor Jacobson, if you go to Face Center LA, you will be happy with the care you get. I send all my friends and family there.

I moved back to Malibu from Scottsdale with 3 kids years ago. Not only did he do an over the top job with the kids which one still has a retainer but also referred me to the very best front tooth replacement and gum surgeon (2) for me with my condition. If you are after the best that the top people in the movie industry goes to then this is your place. Some work needs the ??A? team which is what I needed. It is all about you and not him.

There are no words to describe this office. You get what you pay for. The office is beautiful, the staff is amazing, the doctor is simply the best in LA, and all over the world. I would recommend him to anyone.

My wife and son went for a consult and were impressed with the staff! (Not sure if this is just a Halloween thing of if the women at the office are always so pretty and happy but it sure made a great impression on them both.

Dr Jacobson is a very gentle person. He is careful to make sure that my daughter experiences very little pain but also makes sure that we have beautiful results. I Highly recommend him!

He is not only the orthodontist that the "stars" use, people fly in from all over the world to obtain his services. Dr Jacobson is the best of the best!

Richard Jacobson was extremely expensive for a diagnosis for braces for health reasons & he ended up doing a retainer instead. He said he threw away records & that an x-ray his records said he took was never actually taken. A year dragged on while he said he would "look into" why he had so much of my money when he ended up doing a retainer. He said it was because he had a "perfect record" without any unhappy patients so he wasn't used to being asked this. When I saw the actual file at the LA County Courthouse of the Jennings v. Jacobson malpractice lawsuit, however, referencing six-figure settlement figure (read the actual file, the summary of lawsuits lists it as "dismissed" which seems to reference dismissal due to settlement), I realized this made no sense & finally my credit card had to charge him back for never doing what he promised.

What was to have been a simple "6 month" process, turned into two years of utter hell. Multiple requests, and less than true care. I am now having to have my teeth all moved out again in order to support my career path, that he was well aware of. And I get to pay for it all over again. What a waste...and I highly doubt he didn't know how..rather he chose not to. It was suggested to me repeatedly that perhaps I was neurotic...maybe after this experience! The person who is now doing the work doesn't seem to think neurosis is at issue. He seems to know exactly what is needed and why.

I participated in a photo study for Dr. Jacobson two years ago and forgot all about it. I was hit by a drunk driver over the summer and broke almost everything, head to toe. My face was completely shattered, requiring multiple jaw surgeries and complete facial reconstruction. I remembered he had full 360? X-Rays of my face and went back to see him. I don't know what would have happened if I hadn't found him. He's very kind and extremely skilled. He works with the head of Stanford's plastic surgery dept., a Dr. Schendel. Together, they did a wonderful job. I highly recommend Dr. Jacobson.

Dr. Jacobson is the best! He fixed both my kids' teeth -- one was simple and one was very complex involving major surgery -- and he did a terrific job. But he is expensive.
