Absolutely the worst. Freezing didn't take and I experienced terrible pain. Dr Bishop used a profane word and walked out. Crowns repeatedly fell off. Required a different cosmetic dentist to repair damage. Dentist ground teeth too small for crown. But don't take my word for it. Just look him up on the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners webpage. His license number is 0016242
I have been with Dr Bishop for about 10 years and through 3 locations. I have always found him to be professional and competent, and most importantly, responsive to my needs. I have had to call his office on weekends several times over the last decade, and he himself, not an answering service, has returned the call within hours of my leaving a message. He has listened and done what he could, and seen me the first day the office reopens (Tuesdays). I think that type of service is quite rare, and to get it with my PCP I am paying an extra $1,600 per year out of pocket through some MD/VIP set-up. With my dentist it's free. He may not be the chattiest person, or the most entertaining, but if you need professional care and attention, and someone who responds in a very timely manner, I think he is excellent.
Dr. Robert Bishop is the BEST! He and his staff take the time to listen and to answer any questions you may have. I have been a patient for almost 10 years. There is no wait time, you are seen right away. The offices are nice and clean. Of all the health care professionals that I have seen, he is the most compassionate. Tom in his office is always friendly, helpful and professional. I would highly recommend Dr. Robert Bishop.
My daughter needed a couple of crowns on her permanent teeth and he was very easy to schedule a time with that did not affect her many other activities. Also the work was done very quickly, in and out, she did not indicate that she felt any pain. He was very patient with her. Also no problem with insurance paying. It was a great experience.
I had been a customer for many years ( since late 1990s) and had previously had dental plans. I had a minor emergency .... large filling in the molar fell out. I brought cash since I was between jobs that 2 week period. He wanted 348 dollars for a filling. I stated that I hadn't brought that much with me and he declined to do the work since he "required cash on the spot" even from repeat customers, but kept trying to charge me a bill anyway. I found a more honest dentist who's charge was 237 dollars, including first time charges and x-rays and paid him cash, since he did the work. I can state that Dr. Bishop cares more for money than healing because he keeps trying to send me a bill for not repairing my tooth.
I always have a good experience here. They do the basic job and don't try and upsell me to death on whitening, mouthwashes, super duper toothbrushes, etc.
On occasion, I've even had the dentist himself do my cleaning. Must have been a slow day but he did a good job. They've never had a problem with my insurance and that is appreciated.
