Dr. Patterson delivered my son and made a bad experience a good one. The womens center (the office where he works) is the problem. At 35 weeks I became sick. I had a cold that kept getting worse. I called when my sore throat became too much to handle. The nurse I spoke with said she would like to see me. she ran some cultures, told me that I had a cold and sent me home. Two days later I called complaining that I was having a little trouble breathing the nurse blew me off and said that there was nothing they could do. I called again two days after that with two very blood shot eyes. Again they couldnt see me and this time they couldnt see me because I was contagious. I called again after I had been out of work for a week and they still wouldnt see me. Finally one night I woke up at 2 AM unable to breath. I colapsed on the floor next to my husbands side of the bed. He woke up and took me to the emergency room where the OBGYN on call would not see me. So I had to see a regular emergency room doctor who kept haveing to look into his book on what he could and could not do for me. Finally after listening to my lungs he told me that he could here very little air flow and he gave me a nebulizer treatment. Immediatly I could breath again and he prescribed an inhaler and somthing else for the cold. By 11 AM the next morning both blood shot eyes were completely clear and my "cold" cleared up in about 3-4 days on the medicine. I was so angry at the womens center. My delivery though was great. I had Dr. Patterson for that (I had not met him until then). He was professional while keeping my spirits up. He was nice and took very good care of me and my baby. He helped me when I thought I couldnt go any more. Thanks to Dr. Patterson I have considered having my next child with the womens center for my care but due to my experience with the people and attitudes at the womens center I have opted to have my child else where.
