I liked this counselor. Like people said before, I would have liked to have been able to have seen her for regular therapy because I felt like she was really helping me to get started with changes. What she explained is that she only see patients throughout the state so can only see most people for one visit and then refer them to someone in their community. Since I live a long way from Seattle I know I can't see her all the time, but I wish I could.

I just wanted to tell others that if you want to spend more time with this great counselor, go to the support group she leads! She's the best. She always leads a thoughtful group and I've gotten more help from the people in the group than any of the professionals.

Ruth was really helpful to me at a time when I really needed help. I guess she is some kind of specialist though because she said she wouldn't be able to see me on a regular basis and only sees a certain group of people. So that is why I didn't give her 5 stars. Anyway, she was really nice, funny and seemed like she'd be a great counselor to see many times if you are lucky enough to see her regularly.

This counselor was great. She was thoughtful, nice and answered my questions like she really cared. I usually don't like to go to counselors because they just nod and don't seem to be all that interested. When Ruth walked into the room I could just tell she was listening and treated me like I was the most important thing in her day. I would recommend her to anybody wanting to make changes and feel better.
