I visited Simmons-Boyd practice and loved the welcoming environment. She come out, introduced herself and told me what she was doing to my son's teeth. She also made several suggestions and asked if I had any questions for her. Everyone in her office were friendly. The people that didn't service me, smiled from a distance, the place we very clean and they appeared to be organized. I highly recommend them.

I too would like to warn anyone from taking the dental assisting course that Dr. Boyd and her husband run: Myers Park School of Dental Assiting. Don't waste your time or money! They make you find your own clinical offices.(Very unprofessional!) And due to insurance regulations the offices you do eventually find won't let you do hardly anything but observe. When you graduate, you have no proficiecy in any area because you've only been exposed to the concepts without enough clinical to really do anything. They say you are now a DA I but very few doctor's want just a DA I because now they have to teach you. The only thing you really get out of this program is your radiological license and healthcare CPR. Just take these two classes individually somewhere else and save a ton of money!!! By the way, because they don't take government financial aid, you can't legally take this coure's tuition off your taxes!

I would like to comment on the dental school which her and husband run Myers Park School of Dental Assisting I had recently graduated from the program which I was unsatisfied with, their lack of professionalism willingness to take your money and not properly tend to their students knowing what i know now that low budget production they call an office/school to not waste your time there or your money.

I recently visited Dr. Sandra Simmons DDS office. I really enjoyed my service there. From the time I walked in the door I was treated very professional. Dr. Boyd explained the steps she would be taking to correct my teeth. Once I finished with Dr. Boyd the reception explain the price of the procedures and asked if there where any questions. The office was clean and very calming. The staff was excellent.

I would definitely to recommend this office. I recently paid a visit to have regular cleaning. I was also made aware that I needed to have a crown put onto a tooth. I made the appointment to have the procedure done so I could request the time from work. I came in for my appointment geared up to have the procedure done and over with. After the work was done I was then notified that I would need to return. This required me to take more personal time off from my job. I was very upset that I was not informed that a second visit would need to take place when the appt was made. However I returned for the finishing of the procedure. They told me that I would have an out of pocket expense of $375 dollars which I paid. Three weeks l received another bill for $80. I immediately contacted the office questioning about the bill. I was told that the insurance that I had did not cover the type of crowns that they offer. I asked the question why wasn't I given a heads before the procedure was done. A answer was not give. I paid the bill and decided that I would like to change my dental office.

Once I found a dentist that was suitable for me I contacted the office to have my dental records sent to my current dentist. I knew that a release form would need to be signed so I went to the office and the assistant could not find my dental records. This made me furious and concerned. I left very upset and decided that I would call the office to have them sent. It took them 5 weeks of me continuously contacting them to have my records sent. Finally the new office received the x-rays. It was brought to my attention that the x-rays were sent in a fashion that they could have been easily damaged.

I would not recommend this office to anyone due to the lack of care for the patients and professionalism.
